Considering starting traction

Rockout

I have questions about traction devices and was hoping to gain your insight. My Uro recommended I start on a regimen of traction to reverse the loss of length as a result of Peyronies Disease.

My questions are as follows:

1- Which device should I buy and where do I get it? I have seen reference to FastSize but see that it has been pulled from the market. I have found AndroPenis Gold and the more expensive one with extra components such as Androcomfort Band: 4 units, Androtop for Androcomfort Band: 4 units, Androring: 4 units, Andro storage/carrying case : 1. They are $250 and $320 respectively.
AndroPenis also have the less expensive Androextender - does anyone know if this is anyu good?

2- I have read here that you need to wear it for 6-8 hours a day for six months - can you do this under clothes and carry on a normal life? I work in a corporate environment and tend to wear dress pants to work.

3- Would I keep going with my VED protocol? I am 4.5 months into my first 6 month protocol.

My Uro suggested I stop all my meds, which is as follows:
Pentox x3 daily (He said to stop if I have not had any results in six months, I have been
Viagra 25mg once a day. He suggested this only for sex as it would make Mr. Johnson harder and avoid buckling and further injury.
Vitamin E (a recent study cited this as an increased risk of Prostate cancer)
L'Arginine and Ubiqiunol (I will check and see if he meant these too)

Thanks in advance!

Are the comfort silicon from AndroPenis? The kit comes with the following:

The Andro Gold Extender kit contains :

1 Andropenis Gold Extender
2 Androcomfort Band
2 Androtop for Androcomfort band
2 Androsilicone
2 Androtop for Androsilicone
2 Androring
Androshafts: 24 K Gold

yes they are called androcomfort band. In the site they sell standard silicon bands, look in the spare parts area. If you order one traction device, take at least 4 standard silicon bands.
The idea of androcomfort is good (the craddle shape), but it just don't fit properly and the penis is in contact with the edge of it, not the large place.
Try both silicon and you'll see excatly what I want to mean.

Andropenis company can be trusted, I've the andropenis gold for more than 2 years. Expensive but real quality.

Thanks Ben, judging by what you say, the two silicone ones must be these that are included:
2 Androsilicone
2 Androtop for Androsilicone

I am considering the comfort kit which has four additional bands of each type so I think I should be good for some time.  Why do the bands need changing? Do they loose their elasticity?

Ben

yes after 300 hours they are less efficient, more slippage I would say. I guess androsilicon you use the silicon band.

Andropenis have much good ideas but only a few are efficient. I have a lot of parts of my extender which stays in the provided wood box because I just can't use it. Hope you'll be able to...

Traction is OK but you'll need to practise a lot so you'll know what works for you. How many time, how many tension, what configuration (bareback, with a gauze, etc...).

I never seen anybody with a traction device who had regret it. That's a fact.Just take a whole load a time. Many, many , many time...

Price,  quality and efficiciency can be argued about anything. The andro penis i am sure is a good product as a guy on a local radio station was using it. This is pre peyronies for me and felt sorry for the guy but he was a trooper and had good results.

If you are not sure if you want traction as therapy i would.try a cheaper device first. This way you will be able to weigh the cost.

I have two traction devices at 42.00. $ a peice that look and work the same.as.the expensive ones.I would biy the cheaper size doctor from converter labs. Because you can replace it for the price of any part accessorie from an over priced simple engineered device. Then you will have many spare parts because you will loose some.I have lost a spring, two small post, a bag and a lace.

If money is no worries i would buy a device that offers alot of the quarter inch extensions or smaller as your stretch is not going to move half inches at a time.

i agree with ben.. he suggested me to choose andropenis.. and i've got no problem wearing it so far..

I started traction three days ago with the AndroPenis Gold and have logged 8 hours thus far. AndroPenis recommends the following schedule:

Adaption Period
Days 1-5: 3 hours a day (Start at your base size)
Days 6-10: 6 hours (Add .5cm rod)
Days 11-15: 8 hours  (Add .5cm rod)

Evolution Period
1st and 2nd month: 9 hours/day (Add .5cm rod every 7 days)
3rd and 4th month: 9 hours/day (Add .5cm rod every 10 days)
From 5th month: 9 hours/day (Add .5cm rod every 15 days)

I have seen on another thread that people have trouble logging all the hours - what is your experience? I will definitely need to wear this at work in order to get the hours in for sure. I am hopeful I will see some progress.

LWillisjr

Rockout,
I would caution you about following the schedule of adding .5 cm. These schedules are usually for penis lengthening and can get too agressive. Traction is important but you don't want to over do it. Just like you don't want to over do a VED are any other therapy. I was always cautioned by Dr. Levine to wear the traction device to a "comfortable stretch".

Thanks for the advice.

Interesting. I am to the 6-10 day phase and added the .5cm with no issue but I will take your advice and only add more if it seems like I can tolerate it.

The interesting thing is, the AndroPenis manual has two treatment schedules, the one I posted titled "Method of of (For penile curvature and Peyronies Disease) and the second schedule which only suggests 4 hours per day titled "Usage of AndroPenis (Lengthening and thickening the penis and Micropenis)".

Yes there are counts where traction has helped with some improvment of curvature. Traction is often used together with other therapies.

My experience with traction is that it has been helpful to restore length.  So far, I have not seen a curve reduction.  If this occurs, it is a very slow process.  The theory behind traction is that it stimulates cell reproduction.  This concept has been effective for Dupuytrens.  In one of Dr. Levine's verapamil injection studies, the men using traction for 3+ hours a day had slightly more favorable results (my memory is something like 10-20%) than those who did not use it, or who used it for less than 3 hours/day.

Guys, I'm considering in starting traction, but now i'm in doubt if it would be effective to me.
My fibrosis is on the basis, and these traction devices (andropenis, phallosan) pull the penis on the glans. Could someone say to me if the changes are just on the distal part of the penis (the feeling traction, growth) or on the basis too?

LWillisjr

When worn properly, it should stretch the Tunica along is full length from base to glans.

An expensive extender is not necessary.

My suggestion is try an extender from eBay (see vendor LeLuv and find the "HYBRID Slider ..." with BOTH strap and tubes. For less than $100. Easy to use. A velcro strap can be made at a very low cost.

Most men report challenges with getting enough time per day (3+ hours and preferably 6+ hours). You won't know until you try.

Success with traction requires patience and dedication. Same applies to VED.

Im interested in trying a traction device. but I drive a truck 12-14 hours every week day, and I wear blue jeans. I cant imagine how this could work and wouldn't it be very obvious under blue jeans?  Could i get the recommended hours in at night while sleeping?

LWillisjr

You can't wear it more then 2 hours without taking a break and letting some blood flow back into your penis. Based on your job and situation I would recommend you look at using a VED instead. Look in the VED section and review the 26 week protocol with a 3 cylinder VED. Also feel free to PM member Old Man as he is the VED expert on this forum.

You will not be successful driving truck with blue jeans and wearing traction.  It would likely work with a loose fitting pants like khaki pants, sweat pants, or any pants that had a deep stride (ass seam), and a little loose in the thigh.

While you may be able to get in an hour or so as you fall asleep, you would HAVE TO REMOVE the device within 2 hours of falling asleep.  I think that is workable but you would need a fail-safe plan. I am a notoriously heavy sleeper but I wake-up like clock-work and remove traction.  The discomfort bores right through to my sub-conscious to my conscious brain and I remove it with only enough interruption to glance at the clock as I do.  I am back to sleep in 5 or 6 seconds.

This hour or two at night would not in my opinion be enough.  You would either have to find some more time or work some VED time in
