My peyronies come on suddenly one morning about 3 years ago.  It went from being 6 inches erect to having a significant upward curve and being 4 inches.  I am 58 and eat a healthy diet and I exercise by doing weight lifting.  In September 2023 I started taking the following supplements: L Carnitine, gotu kola, nattokinase, vitamin E 400IU.  I use DMSO topically and I also use it with castor oil in a hot compress about 2 to 3 times a week (and it would probably be a good idea to increase this to daily).  I just measured my penis today and it is 4 1/2 inches, so I guess that's some progress, but there must be something else I can to to help it recover.  A urologist confirmed that the plaque is on the upper side and half way down and that this is what is causing the upward curvature.  I don't want to do any Xiaflex injections or surgery because I find them to be terrifying.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum Samadhi8001. The first thing you need to do is to fill out your signature line -->Signature Line . Then you need to download and to study our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This will give you a better understanding of peyronies and it's treatments.

So you have been diagnosed from a Dr that you do have peyronies? Did the Dr talk about traction therapy or VED therapy? Traction especially will help prevent any further shrinking of your penis. It can also possibly restore some of your lost length. Have you thought about taking Cialis? Did your Dr perform an ultrasound?

The suppleness can help with bodily inflammation and anything applied externally to your penis will not penetrate the deep layers where the plaque is. Using heat therapy will help your penis with healing and blood flow increase. I would not consider surgery yet. You may benefit from Xiaflex. It does depend on the Dr administering the drug though. Also keep your mind focused that this is a marathon and not a sprint. :)

Thank you for your reply.  I was diagnosed by a doctor as having peyronies about 3 years ago and an ultrasound was performed.  I do have a traction device called the Proextender that I have not used much, maybe I should start using it daily.  I will take a closer look at the survival guide.  I am confused about how to do the signature line.

I am not educated about the proextender as here we use the Restorex and the PenimasterPro. Be careful with the loop variety that grasps under the glans of your penis.

As far as the signature line is just follow the directions and click on your name then click on profile details and a window will open. Then just type in there a brief to the point history about you, your injury, age , treatments etc... We do this because of a forum as large as this it gives other members a quick snapshot of your condition. They may be possibly going through a similar experience as yours and can gain some knowledge and insight into what you have tried and what has worked. You will also get a much better response from other forum members when you post a question.  :)
