My Peyronies Disease symptoms started in October 2022, and a visit to a urology doc in February confirmed a plaque (feels kind of like a rubber eraser) on my left corpus Cavernosum (according to the doctor's notes). He recommended Xiaflex right away, and scheduled me for the first 2 injections. I was anxious about Xiaflex, so canceled the appointments.

TBH I'm feeling very depressed. My bend is embarrassing to me to the point where I'm avoiding dating and sex, and I don't even like touching myself to masturbate.

I'm mulling going back to the doctor to discuss other potential treatment options, or to just go through with the Xiaflex.

In the meantime, I've been trying supplements, a traction device, and a pump on my own.

Anyway, here are my stupid questions:
1. Is your penis straight when using a pump? I have a bend when getting an erection, but it doesn't appear when I use the pump.
2. Do any tadalafil/sildenafil users find your bend/curve more pronounced when your erection is supplemented by meds? I woke up yesterday with a natural morning erection, and it felt less bent to me, although I may have imagined it. That, coupled with being straight in the pump, makes me wonder if taking sildenafil is making things worse.

Thanks for your time and insight.

Hey Flamingo:

Plenty of questions here: is your doctor familiar with Xiaflex? How much experience does he have? This is what Dr. Trost compiled on his webisite in terms of what are the most up to date treatments. https://malefertilityandpeyroniesclinic.com/peyronies/treatments/

Is your curvature really that bad or you are in great distress about it and it's more of a mental thing even though you can actually have sex with it? Avoiding intimacy is never good, despite the great pressure it put's on a man.

1-using a pump especially consistently whilst following a protocol has been shown to decrease curvature. Have a look at this user and his progress with the VED: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php?action=profile;u=18633

2-taking PDI5's to give you a better erection is never a bad thing. The more rigid your erection, the better. What you are probably experiencing is a more fuller erection that makes the same bend you already have be more pronounced. (In my opinion)

If you have the opportunity, please give Dr. Landon Trost's office a call and schedule a visit to is office in person. I know it's an out of state Dr. for you, but it's worth every penny in the long run.

Hello and welcome.

There's tons of questions about Peyronies Disease, none are stupid.  Ask away!

I haven't used pumps so I don't know.  On Cialis, I compared a pic of my erection from the month of my diagnosis and current on Cialis.  The most current pic looks a tad bit more straight to me or maybe it's because there's more blood flow it's looking more full?  Also important to note I didn't get any curving with my Peyronies Disease, just my congenital curve remains.

I have a girlfriend
Age 47, No injury
Diagnosis January 2022
Six plaques
Hourglassing when flaccid and semi-erect
Only have my congenital curve
Massaging with vitamin E cream twice a day
5mg Tadalafil, Healthy diet
Discomfort/aching sometimes

Cialis is suppose to help prevent further fibrosis. Aspirin does this too. I am using both. Cialis erections and natural erections will be the same depending on how excited you are and in the mood.
