New to peyronie's though I suspect I've unknowingly have had it, in some shape or form, for the last 13 years. Have always aggressively masturbated almost daily and remember a mid-shaft indent appearing on the rightside about 10 years ago. Never thought anything of it. Hey, all penises are different.

Currently, 31y.o., single, and have been going through a depressive phase in my life after last relationship ended due to ex cheating and Covid lockdown forcing me to move back with my folks. Injured my back training for a marathon and training BJJ and, well, have been isolated, frustrated, and obsessed with porn and masturbating to feel something. Not a good stew to sink into to say the least. This has led me to choke my dick like it was the U.F.C and pulling on it like a dentist with free novacaine while masturbating or summoning an erection.

Needless to say this is how I injured my penis.  It has been a month since the injury and since then I have seen a urologist who suspected Peyronie's and prescribed pentoxifylline 400mg 2x daily and to avoid my dick like a plague victim. He actually wrote it on my take home notes which the nurse read out loud back to me! ;D

So far my penis looks like it has improved from the first two weeks. Initially it looked like I was walking around with a salted slug and in constant pain. Couldn't get an erection and when erect I was half cooked linguine, top half soft and flappy, bottom half firm, with the middle al dente. I have been measuring my penis and so far no loss in length, but it feels narrower, softer, and the top third is a bit thinner, though might not actually be. The indent on the right hurts a bit along with a new indent at the top third of the penis (more like a ring like there is a tight rubber band), right below the gland. Penis does bend more to the right at the side indent and takes longer and more arousal to fill up. The right side of my penis is softer now than the left when the erection is not strong or just starting. This makes the bend and twist to the right appear worse, and fills up segmentedly. The top third takes longer to get hard than the bottom half, but once fully erect it looks pretty close to my normal as it always has.  The indent/ring at the top fills out and the indent on the right is not very noticeable. The bend, twist, and indents become very noticeable when the erection leaves and I transition back to the flaccid state.

So far, I have taken pentoxifylline with a new found religious furor, and with this sub have started taking:

L-arginine 500MG x2
L-Citrulline 1000MG x2
AGOmega3 fish oil supplements x3
CoQ10 300mg
VitaminD3 125mcg (5000IU)+ vitK2 80mcg
Hyaluronic Acid 250mg x2
Acetyl L-Carnitine 500MG x2
Pycnogenol 50mg x2
Magnesium 350mg x3

Two weeks so far.

Questions:

- Is it safe to take all these supplements during the course of the day? Typically, I split them between breakfast and dinner, if that makes a difference.
- From your experience and the posts you have read, how transient is my current condition? Am I likely to improve or get worse? So far, no pain or not much pain. Pain only occurs after a strong erection and it feels like a pinch at the right side and head of my penis.
- Is it safe to take these supplements with cialis, once prescribed?
- Could I develop fibrosis in the corpora cavernosum? What types of activities lead to fibrosis in the corpora cavernosum?
- Does probing or rubbing with my fingers cause the condition to worsen? Like rubbing a bruise or picking a scab.
- Is there a difference between viagra vs Cialis vs Levitra? Read studies indicating that viagra and vardenafil (Levitra) may help reduce plaque and reduce and prevent fibrosis in the corpora cavernosum but nothing on the difference between the two. Could I take cialis and another at the same time to help with erection correction and plaque/scar reduction?

Link to studies:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24190613/

- Lastly, would traction with RestoreX help with the narrowing, indents, and achieving an even, full erection? According to some posts on here and Neo, the stretch from RestoreX helped even things and fill out their penises. Some have even reported restored girth, and filled indents/hourglassing.

Next appointment with the urologist is in a month and he will induce an erection and perform a doppler sonar. Keeping my spirits up by exercising, therapy, and telling myself it'll work out however it works out. Panicking only makes things worse, but I definitely panicking haha.

Welcome bent_narsil to the forum and thank you for filling out your signature line! You should also download and study our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This will educate you on a lot of different peyronies treatments.

Sorry to hear about your recent breakup and your peyronies diagnosis. It is true that Covid has caused a lot of damage to society especially to confining us to our homes and computers. Porn has and will continue to be a big snare for a lot of guys and can do a lot of damage physically and emotionally. Masturbation with porn causes an overdrive of dopamine that can easily become an occurring habit.
Any rough handling of your penis has the potential to damage/cause peyronies. I would take heed to your Dr's suggestion of letting things alone while you are healing. If you are going to masturbate just use a lot of lube and be gentle/careful and reduce the frequency.

The supplements that you are taking will not hurt you and I can say that the combo might upset your stomach a bit. Cialis is by far better when helping your penis as it is a time released drug covering 24 hours. The supplements should also increase your nitric oxide which should help with erections and healing. the whole idea behind the supplements is to lower inflammation in your body. Peyronies is basically fueled by excessive inflammation and a healing disorder in your penis. When your body goes to heal any damage the whole process goes into overdrive nad bang peyornies.

Fibrosis is just what can develop from peyronies and everyone is different. You need to get a hold of you mental state and don't get obsessive over this. You sound like you have a plan and need to work that plan. Remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Heat therapy does help with healing and it is good that you have taken some measurements of your penis. This can be a great tool if you are trying to assess any length/girth loss.

You also need to educate yourself on traction and VED therapy. It has helped a lot of us guys in restoring lost length and girth. It can also help a little with indentations and hour glassing. Just don't do manual traction as it can exacerbate things. Look into purchasing a Restorex or Penimaster Pro. The forum will educate you on a lot that you will never hear from your Dr. You need to be your own advocate along with your physician.

When you go into your next appointment just have a list of questions written down for your Dr. Also remember that worrying and anxiety are not good for your health and mindset, as you have stated.

Hi Mikel7, thank you for your thoughtful reply!

Yes, porn and masturbation is an easy crutch to get habituated to. Unfortunate, that I potentially caused som serious damage from this, but it will all be ok. I haven't masturbated or engaged in any sexual activity since I noticed thing were wrong, as difficult as it is since I can still get an erection.

I do have another question, does probing or rubbing with my fingers cause the condition to worsen? Like rubbing a bruise or picking a scab. I have obsessed for the first month and was constantly checking my penis, rubbing what looked like plaque or ribs, and poking at the indents to see if they changed. I'm a bit anxious that I might have made it worse, though if a penis can handle masturbation and sex this should be fine.

Obsessing over your penis when you are dealing with peyronies is very common and you need to put things into perspective. You are not damaging things more by touching it and examining it. Just stay with a plan and work it. Don't keep checking things out and you will make it through this time in your life.
