What is your experience of progression, and does sex make it worse?

I am new to the forum and would like to know what others' experience of progression is, particularly whether sex makes it worse.  My urologist says he has not seen a case like mine (curved when flaccid, but straight when erect), however this forum has made me realise that there is a big variation in experiences with Peyronies Disease.  I have a plaque, so it is Peyronies Disease.

I injured my penis 5 months ago.  After the injury, I noticed that my penis curved when semi erect, and then straightened out when fully erect.  There was no pain.

2 months in, my penis started to curve when flaccid, and start to look thinner on one side and it was sometimes sore.  My urologist said to continue having sex.  To begin with I would feel discomfort the day after sex, then it would go away.  More recently there have been times when the discomfort has lasted about a week before subsiding.

5 months in, my penis is still straight when fully erect, but at 90% erect it is curved.  When erect there is a noticeable thin area now.  Recently I have been experiencing some mild pain when erect, as well as persistent discomfort when flaccid.

Given that I feel discomfort after sex, is that a sign that I am causing damage and making Peyronies Disease progress more?  What is your experience of how sex impacts the progression of Peyronies Disease?

The fear of how bad it will get is making me depressed and interfering with my daily life.  I just want to get a realistic understanding of what to expect.  I am taking supplements, but want to make sure that I am not doing something that will make it worse.  Thank you.

Welcome to the forum and please take note and fill out your signature line -->Signature Line . Also the survival guide is filled with useful info regarding peyronies -->Survival Guide .

So you were diagnosed with peyronies. Did the Dr do a Doppler ultrasound? Being straight when you are erect is good, having a bend while flaccid shows that there is something going on inside of your penis. Pain and discomfort are different. Pain definitely is a sign of the acute stage in peyronies and should be addressed. Sex can aggravate peyronies and cause further pain and possible deformity. If you are in pain I would limit/avoid sex.  Heat therapy can do wonders at alleviating pain and promoting healing.

Did your Dr talk to you about using Cialis? It can help with healing and erections a lot. You should also look into traction therapy and VED therapy. Supplements by themselves will not do your peyronies much good. Peyronies is a mysterious disease that affect each man differently. I can say that we all experience worrying/anxiety over it to some degree. You have to make peace with it in your mind and get a battle plan towards it. Also don't think that you will conquer this over night - this is a marathon and not a sprint. Read the survival guide and study the forum to educate yourself on this.

I would stay away from have sex or masturbating. I think it doesn't allow you to heal properly. look up verapamil 15% gel from PDLabs. I would recommend that for you. good luck
