Hello guys,

1.5 years ago I got pain during masturbation when I took viagra, and on this day my symptoms started. My penis started curving to the left, and at the same time, a palpable and visible artery emerged on the left side. I still have pain when my penis is flaccid or during masturbation. I tried to be absent from masturbation for the last 1.5 years but I masturbate maybe 5 times to check if everything is working.

I have visited 3 urologists but nobody has noticed any kind of plaque (physical examination and ultrasound).

The only hardening is an artery on the left side. Maybe hardened is the wrong description but it's not as soft as other veins or arteries and when I'm holding my penis in my hand it's very noticeable.

My urologist made the artery visible in the ultrasound and said that there shouldn't be actually an artery there. I looked for anatomy pictures and in fact, there shouldn't be an artery in this area.
But he said he couldn't help me either. He suggests I should undergo an MRI but he has to inject medication for erection otherwise it wouldn't make sense. But I'm too afraid that the injection will cause any problems that's why I refused.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on? I don't know why there is this artery and why it causes me pain.

You can see in the clip how my artery is pumping. There is a lot of tension on my left side due to the artery which is causing a bending to the left side.

Are those the same person? In one there is a curve to the left and in the other a curve to the right.

Yes, the same person. The picture with the arrows is the side view. I've only a left curve. I don't know where you see a curve to the right?

Mr man

I recently visited a surgeon. He told me all human bodies are slightly different. With that in mind. It seems clear your artery has always been there. If you've been masturbating with Cialis. It's likely you have overexercised penis.

My educated guess would be you've caused some broken capillaries and that's caused extra pressure on your artery.

Maybe you could do some gentle penile stretching. Before going to sleep? To encourage blood flow. That was enough to substantially improve my penile curvature.

If that fails increase traction using a quality traction device. For a couple of hours a day.

Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

Yeah, I think too that viagra overstrained my artery. But I didn't see any burst capillaries.

I'm taking daily 2.5 mg cialis for support and be abstain from masturbation, that's all I do rn.

How do you mean gentle penile stretching? Like a massage? And what does stretching help for? Is it only for blood support?

I have never heard that an artery could make a penis bend or curve. Did the doctor specifically say that the artery is causing your bend?
30 years. Sudden rightwards curve detected in June 2020
Narrowing on right side and about a 20° curve to the right.
ED + instability due to narrowing.

No not specifically. But he agreed with me that my prominent artery could cause tension which on the left side and could lead to a curve.

It feels like a hard string and when I get erect it prevents my penis to stretch properly on the left side. I only assume that's the reason because my curve and artery occurred at the same time.

And since there weren't diagnosed any scares tissues on ultrasound at three different urologists I exclude peyronie for me so far.

Hm... i might have a very similar problem - a few arteries on my penis have substantially enlarged/hardened and now seem to be causing some curvature. No idea why this happened and what I should do but curious to follow this thread

Hey bento boy,

I read your post where you mentioned the hard cord that causes bending. I also noticed my penis hang to the side while flaccid as you described. Did you have any success to bend your penis while flaccid to the opposite side, all day?

Do you understand the mechanism for hardened arteries? I did research and all I found was artery sclerosis. But I'm only 27, young and healthy and I don't think that artery sclerosis can only affect certain parts of your body like your penis. Another possibility is mondor's disease but they only affect veins, not arteries.

I don't have any clue what to do. I don't know if massage or stretching helps. At the moment I'm only staying away from masturbation, eating anti-inflammatory food and taking Vitamin E and Antioxidants.

BTW I saw your pictures, your penis doesn't look that bad. I don't think any girl will notice.

Mate, honestly I am so happy that there is someone who understands my issue. Because recently I've been thinking about me being the only person with this 'hard cord' issue. It seems that there are not that many people with this problem, and nobody really knows what it is.

I haven't bent my penis while flaccid, to be honest. As far as I understand it, there is no much evidence on the effectiveness of bending while flaccid... so, I decided not to do it. But maybe you have a different experience? If someone tells me that it works, then I would do it. What do you think about it?

I have no idea how these hardened arteries/veins work. Hm... this artery sclerosis thing you mentioned is interesting. I will try to read more about it. I will ask my urologist about it once I have a chance to have an appointment (he's based in a different country). Actually, a few months ago I did ask my  urologist about the 'hardened veins'. He was confused but then suggested that it could have been mondor's disease (saying that I maybe had a shave and somehow caused it, lol). And then he said that it would go away in a few months - it didn't of course. Oh well.

Same. I have no clue what to do with it and just hope it won't get worse.

Yep, I have been having a very similar lifestyle but it doesn't seem to improve my situation. Hopefully it just reduces the risk of it getting worse.

Thanks. The problem is that it does look more or less okay and it isn't too easy to see the problem especially when I'm on cialis and have constant erections (I noticed that the more erections I have, the better stretch I get, and the better the condition looks overall). However, I have noticed that the 'flaccid state' of my penis has been getting somewhat worse. So, I'm just afraid that I might lose my current normlaity at some point (hopefully not because with my current state I could actually have a good sex and enjoy life).

With all these new lumps and hardened cords, it is really hard to have a sense of stability and peace. It is like every single day I expect some degree of worsening of the condition, believing that the stabilisation phase will never come. This is really annoying. But let's hope for the best

Hello,

I've never heard of this.  Why don't you just get the MRI with the induced erection?  Is it any different than a Doppler?  I've had one and many others and we're ok.

All the best.

@bentoboy I know how you feel and sometimes It makes me feel crazy thinking I'm the only one. Even my urologist said he has never seen something like this before and had no idea how to treat it.

I don't think either that bending a flaccid penis will work but maybe I'll try it because I've nothing to lose.

But are you really sure your hardened cord is an artery? Maybe you can check if you feel a throbbing like a heartbeat on your cords. If not it may be a vein. My urologist told me if it was a vein then he could cut it to solve the problem. They do this if you have chronic mondor's disease which doesn't heal on its own. But it doesn't work the same for arteries because it may restrict blood support if you cut it like veins.

Furthermore, the hardened artery is causing pain for almost 1.5 years. Since I haven't been diagnosed with peyronies I can't imagine what else could cause pain for that long time. I've pain while flaccid too but it has gotten better.

My hardened artery goes along the shaft from the base to the top as you can see in the picture. I can feel how the pain is radiated toward the groin because of the artery that goes in this direction. For example, if I'm doing squats I can feel the artery inside my groin. Really weird...

At least both of us can have sex but I don't want to have sex for a while.

@FrankPD My urologist said that even if I would undergo an MRI he can't promise me that he can treat me. So I'll risk getting injured without a prospect for treatment. And I've read so many horror stories of injections that cause serious problems that I'm really scared to get one. But I think it's the same as you will get for an ultrasound.

Honestly I had my concerns too but I wanted to do it after I started having problems maintaining an erection.

After 16 months of learning/living with Peyronies I learned so much about penis health.

Try to keep yourself busy so it doesn't overtake your mind, I know that feeling.

Be well.

Thanks for your response,

I have recently started doing some gentle stretching and bending with a hand (clockwise/counter-clockwise) to combine it with VED. I don't think it will help in any way, but at least it feels good. I will let you know if anything changes.

Regarding the cord, I do not know, to be honest. I have this enlarged vein on the right side (i'm pretty much sure it's a vein) but the cord-like thing on the top part of the penis might be an artery, maybe? I have just checked some penis anatomy pictures, and it seems it might be an artery indeed... hm, not sure. Tell me more about the surgery you mentioned. How would it look like?

My hardened cord/artery doesn't cause any pain but it seems to be pulling the penis upwards, slightly. Not sure whether I should be worried or leave it as is...  have you considered this surgery that you mentioned?

Yeah, that's quite good that we can still have sex and everything. Although this constant anxiety that the condition could get worse really kills me. Plus there's always this fear that sex could also make it worse (especially if it's  a bit too passionate)
