Do I really need surgery, or can I live with this shape?

I've had Peyronies for a few years now, and my doctor has suggested Nesbit surgery.

Before I go ahead, I was wondering whether anyone could give me their opinion on the realities of staying as I am? I haven't had the confidence to have any sexual relationships since the diagnosis, so haven't been able to get feedback.

Blood flow and erections are fine.

One thing I did notice, is there's a G spot vibrator with a curvature nearly identical to mine - I made an image!

Any advice, opinions would be great.

Thanks, P

If you're stable and have been for years, with no issues, then I really don't see the problem.

That said, it's entirely your call and you have to go with what makes you happy.
35. No injury. Lump Feb 22.
Pain, dent, left & upward bend ~50deg. Bad EQ.
Cialis Dac 22 - ear issues.
Diagnosed Feb 23.
VED Oct 22. PMP Feb 23.
Lump reduced May 23, dent remains, angle a little better. EQ improved.

Supportive partner, depression.

A 20 degree curve is considered very mild. Almost presents as congenital. And upward curves are easier to deal with than downward curves. Many men have an upward congenital curve.

I've seen a lot of pictures and spoken with many men. In my opinion I would not do anything. Your shape is fine and I think surgery it totally unnecessary for you. I'm a bit surprised your urologist even suggested it.

Hey p!

I agree with the other opinions posted. I also have an upward curve, although not as pronounced as yours and it has been fine throughout the years. You could try to use restorex and see if it helps, before proceeding with surgery? Traction can also be used for congenital curvatures and it is somewhat successful if you are consistent. Worth a try for sure!

HeadsUp

That's barely 20 degrees... I think most people here would be happy with that post-treatment.  I'd leave it alone, especially if it's been stable for a few years.
62 Years Old
Peyronie's onset: Jan/Feb 2022; Diagnosed June 2022
Main symptom: upward curve (plaque on top), unsure of degrees (probably between 45-75 degrees)
Initial treatment: Pentox 400 mg, 3x/day - NO LONGER, NOW RESTORIX

Penisauros: totally unrelated question, but does your skin bother you? There seems to be an excessive amount covering the glans while erect?

I agree with all - that is completely within the range of "normal" curvature, and I would advise against surgery, which carries risks. Leave well enough alone, I think.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

I would be happy in your case. Don't opt for surgery.
60 years old. Peyronie disease since 2020. Upward curve 30 degrees. Thick calcified plaque, dorsal, just beneath glans. 2cm wide, 1cm long. No ED. Except soft glans.

Penisaurus, I think you will have very good feedback because a mild upward curve is a benefit for reaching the g-spot.
Give it a try and report back  ;)

I just want to thank you guys, it's really made a difference to hear your views.  It's easy to get caught up in comparisons to what it was like before, rather than how it is now.

For some reason the doctor estimated it at 40 degrees.  But I think that was wrong.  I feel relieved to not have to go through with surgery.
