Had perfectly straight penis my whole life, until after recent sexual encounter 2 weeks ago, I noticed a slight indentation, left side middle of the shaft, and a slight bend to the left maybe 10 or 15°. No pain, no difficulty with erection or ejaculation thus far.

Saw urologist, who didn't treat it with the seriousness I was hoping for. Prescribed ibuprofen and rest. I pushed him to do ESWT and I've done one session thus far; intend to do two rounds of six. I will also start on some of the supplements recommended in this forum. Fortunate to have good insurance and financial resources to explore treatment options.

If the condition stayed as it is now, I could live with it fairly easily. But, I'm terrified it will get worse.

In a supportive relationship.

Would love a recommendation to a Peyronies Disease specialist in the Atlanta metro area. Thanks and best of luck to everyone! I'm deeply appreciative for this forum.

Freestyle, welcome to the forum. You are in good company with other guys that understand what you are going through.

I am not an expert, or a guru on this subject of Peyronie's but, I have done a lot of research, and reading, since I was diagnosed with it ~ 18 months ago.

You are at the very early onset of an injury that will most likely put you in the Peyronie's camp. Only a qualified urologist, after a discussion with you, and an actual exam will be able to tell you for sure.

I am also in Georgia and have had one appointment at Morgenstern Urology, and will be going in one week for an ultrasound on my penis.  https://morgansternhealth.com/peyronies-disease/
I found out about this clinic from doing internet searches. I would fill out the form on that link and they will call you back. Most likely it will be a guy named Ray Reynolds, a former patient and now, their in house PyD 'guru' who can answer all your questions and, if you go forward with an appointment, he can get that started.

I brought my wife to my first appointment so, she could be a second set of ears. This is a complex subject with no magic pills or just one treatment option so, I wanted her to hear what I heard too. During my first appointment we spoke for over an hour with a P.A. on staff, Dan. He answered all of my questions. He also did a physical exam and then wrote an order for blood work. I went to a local Quest lab and had that done a few weeks ago. As I mentioned above, my next procedure is the ultrasound. After that, I meet with one of the Urologists to discuss next steps and potential treatments.

I'll leave it there for now. If you have any questions, either put them on this string or PM me.

Best wishes to you.

I would caution doing the shockwave treatment.  If you use the search bar you will not find anyone that had a positive outcome with it and a lot of them say their condition worsened.

Thank you, gsc55. I will look into the clinic in Atlanta that you mentioned. I'll be interested to see how your second and subsequent appointments go with that doctor.

I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tue, 3/21. When I asked what I should expect, I got the following reply. I'm sharing it as it is good information for anyone that is going to have one.

"The penile ultrasound will tell us about your arterial and venous function in the penis.
As a reminder, be prepared for him to inject a medicine into the penis to stimulate greater blood flow. The injection is usually painless. There's more of a mental obstacle of the patient being concerned about a needle being inserted into penile tissue than actual physical pain. However, 10% of patients do experience stinging or burning from the medicine used. There is a reversal injection in case this happens.

Every 5 minutes for a 1/2 hour, Gary will scan your penis and check for the hemodynamics. He'll also do a preliminary scan to look for signs of penile plaque, and if present he'll gather the dimensions and echo measurements.

Usually, after an ultrasound whether it's the same day or on another day, there is a review of findings when I go over your lab results and the ultrasound findings with you."
