Hi guys. Unfortunately ive been diagnosed with throat and neck cancer at the base of my tongue and a couple of lymph nodes. I've got to go through 6 weeks radiotherapy with 2 lots of chemo, 1 at the start then 3 weeks. It's a very high success rate so i'm not worried about that, but the treatment is hardcore because of where it is Has anyone else gone through similar? should i avoid aggressive cycling sex etc to avoid causing sores or an injury which could become infected easily due to the chemo? ( i probably won't feel like it anyway lol.) Thanks

We are not doctors or medical professionals of any kind.  I cannot imagine that an implant installed for one year is more likely to become infected by pumping it than not pumping it.  I would, however, seek a qualified medical opinion.

Good luck with your treatment. Having been through radiation treatment, radiation patients are said to have fewer side effects if they remain active and continue light exercise such as walking etc.
