Confused about the different opinions on traction

Hello,

I had a second surgery 3 months ago for a congenital curvature and since then I have a rotation on the left, this is probably due to the presence of fibrosis on the left side and dorsal of my penis according to several doctors .
A surgery is therefore not considered but traction yes, but I received so many different opinions that I am completely confused.

- Dr. Gelman who did my last surgery does not advise traction

- The French doctors don't recommend traction now and tell me to wait 6 months to avoid more scars, but I thought that traction allowed the healing of the scars and fibrous areas

- Dr. Levine and Dr. Trost recommend post-surgery traction as soon as possible, especially after 8 weeks in my case (absorbable suture) according to Dr. Trost

I am really confused because French doctors also talked to me about VED and shock therapy knowing that I have no erectile dysfunction

What do you think???
Knowing that I have been doing manual traction for 1 month and I was considering buying Restorex

I would take advice from Dr Trost and Dr Levine. FYI I have Dr Levine as my Dr and he gave me an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. I put my faith in both of these Dr's.
Lump 4/2020, age 62 , Dr Levine 6-26-20, Dors Curve 11/2020, Peyronies
Vit E400mg, COQ10, Heat Therapy, Penimaster, Pentox, Cialis, Restorex
SNHL 7/2020 - Stopped all Meds because ototoxicity  Heat/traction/VED are working. CPPS Diagnosis - Stable :)

Okay, thanks to you!
So you do traction with a device? Which one, Restorex?

I have post operative fibrosis, I don't think I have Peyronie's, well I hope so. So traction helps to heal scars and fibrous tissue?

I am currently doing manual traction

I started with the PMP and used it for about 1 1/2 years then also added in the Restorex. Both are useful tools to combat this disease. I would highly recommend against manual traction as you don't have the knowledge of how much force you are applying and could possibly do more damage to yourself.

What is sure, is that I apply less tension with manual traction than with a device, I do not see how it is possible to get hurt.
You just have to be careful

I always have mixed feelings about buying a Restorex, I have received so many different opinions from urologists

Dr. Trost sent me this today:

« In general, we usually recommend starting traction somewhere between 2-4 weeks after surgery since that's the time when the tissue will be the most malleable and responsive.  The longer you wait, the less likely it will be able to modify the left curve, for example.  So, I would definitely start as soon as possible.  Traction definitely does not increase scarring but generally facilitates resolution of scars over time.  I generally don't recommend VEDs or shockwave though.  Shockwave just doesn't have any benefits in improving curve and has very minimal benefits for ED.  VEDs can make areas of swelling worse in my experience. »

According to him, starting as soon as possible would correct my problem.

I am really confused when I hear other doctors, especially Dr. Gelman, telling me not to do anything

Hi, what do you guys think?

I did manual traction for 5 weeks, it didn't make my case worse or better

Trost recommends Restorex now and that it will provide better results if I start now

Gelman (my surgeon) and many French urologists advise me to do nothing yet for fear of creating new scars

Some guys started traction shortly after surgery (3 months)? I'm trying to correct the strong fibrosis post surgery causing a new curvature to the left and to relax my penis which is very tight at the base.
My penis also curves to the left flaccid because of this large fibrosis on the left and dorsal

Gelman sent me this regarding traction: "On traction, I do not favor it but I also do not have strong feelings against using a stretching device at this point. Up to you."

So I think this is doable, so I will continue with manual traction until I receive Restorex

- I am very afraid of injuring myself with Restorex because I apply very little tension with my hands, your opinion?

- I have a curvature to the left and very slightly upwards, my sutures are placed only on the dorsal side because my curvature before the surgery was downwards, so I have a slight overcorrection upwards. I will pull straight and against the curve to the right,
What do you think about pulling downwards against the curvature to correct the overcorrection? Is it too risky knowing that my sutures are not yet dissolved (after 6 months)

- Have any guys started Restorex after surgery? I only see guys using it for Peyronie

- After manual traction, I still have a hard flaccid and slight pain, is this normal?

Thanks to you guys

I wanted to know if anyone else had an opinion here? I am completely lost
I don't have Peyronie, I'll tell you that.

Wish I could help but it's a rough situation. Your doctor botched your first surgery. No well performed surgery would need another surgery to ''fix it'' You have now had 2 invasive surgeries on your penis and that will of course make the organ take damage. It also seems your curve is congenital right? If so Traction would probably do very little.

It is up to you to decide if you want to take the risk.
30 years. Sudden rightwards curve detected in June 2020
Narrowing on right side and about a 20° curve to the right.
ED + instability due to narrowing.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me Sonic

After the second surgery I have an overcorrection upwards and an import on the left. According to Trost, this can be resolved with traction, and the sutures will heal.

What bothers me the most is that I have different opinions from several doctors without knowing what to do, I want to take the traction treatment but I'm afraid that the downward curvature will come back

I really can't give any advice besides it's your own choice.

Dr Trost is very knowledgable so I would really value his opinion.
