Just wondering what you guys thoughts are on my situation. Hawks post here is something that has been on my mind: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,10557.0.html

Yes, I can get an erection on PDE5's max dose or Trimix low dose but My dick tissue still feels hardened at the site of my latest injury. I took no drugs yesterday and my erection was hard to maintain and the tissue feels bad midshaft where my urologist did a doppler and said I have scar tissue and subtle narrowing. Dr. Trost did review photos of my condition and said it's not Peyronies Disease so maybe scarring somewhere else like the corpra or maybe because I do not have a pronounced curve not sure. I have had injuries like this in the past and recovered however this time is taking longer.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

An implant is very invasive surgery and is mainly targeted towards men who cannot achieve an erection.

I think your Erectile Dysfunction issues are more impacted by where you are mentally.

Thanks LwillisJr is definitely a big aspect of it I am working on that in the meantime with counseling to see if that resolves the issue.

CK without giving you a long winded answer, I am thinking at least I can be done with Dick injuries worrying about size loss and Erectile Dysfunction with the IPP. I am prone to depression and fall into one every year or two and each time I do I "edge" for hours/days and injure my dick.

I also think being able to be hard as long as you want without worrying about priapism sounds pretty cool.

Wait wtf is the difference between scarring and peyronies? Either way it's scar tissue . I can understand if you are having problems I would try to wait and try the other methods first. But if nothing succeeds then it may be a good step

CK I think there is a difference between "scar tissue" and what some call true peyroines I forgot what it is because I don't really care to be honest the part that stands out to me is there is scar tissue in my dick!!!

So I can get a "useable" erection on pde5's but my results are becoming inconsistent. Trimix will work for me but if I have to rely on it do I risk further scarring from chronic use like other members have discussed?

I mean my scarring my Uro thinks is not that bad but it is quite bothersome for me and he just said "maybe" it will get better. If I knew it would not I would definitley go with the IPP because I want consistent, reliable, rock hard erections. I spoke to one guy my age that is very happy with it and another guy my age that is not (multiple revision).

Ahh I see. How long did the guys last before he needed a revision that he was unhappy? Or was that because the surgery was bitched initally?

from the very start I believe their was a problem with his installation. I'll let you read but sounds like he had a reputable surgeon it may be important to note that people with unsatisfactory results are much more likely to post on the forums than people who are happy with it and out living their lives.

No one can tell you what to do, but my initial gut feeling is that you are not ready for an implant because:

you have to ask.  You are ready for an implant when you know you are done farting around unable to have satisfactory intercourse, AND you feel you have little to lose.
You want erections on demand - Who doesn't?? But, that is not the reason to get an implant.  It is just a bonus; few highly functional 18 yr olds can get non-stop erections on demand.
You respond to PDE5 inhibitors.
You do not have a deformity that prevents penetration
You are 33 years old and have recovered in the past.

One final thought, any young guy who had multiple revisions and is dissatisfied must have foolishly gone with a bad surgeon and then given that same bad surgeon multiple chances to cut on his penis.
It is difficult to know what to say to a person like that.  I am sure he was never on this forum before surgery.

Hawk,

Thank you for your thoughts. I guess I'm worried because my erections are harder to achieve PDE5's are working but at like 20mg tadalafil a day. I have also been using Trimix off and on for about a year and my urologist told me it was a low chance for scarring?

My penis is feeling thinner my girth seems to have gone done .5 an inch I worry if I don't get the implant I'll lose size?

I and several others ARE HERE BECAUSE OF PENILE INJECTIONS.  In my case, it was bimix.  I would be VERY observant and it is ESSENTIAL that you apply direct pressure on the injection site with your thumb and index finger for a full 5 minutes after the injection.  It is well known that in addition to the drugs in Trimix, blood in tissue causes scarring (including adhesion in surgical patients)
