Good morning everybody,
I am new on here and have been reading with interest this site for a while.
I started to feel pain in my Scrotum to start with and it ached for a few months, then the Penis started to feel painful during erection and sex. It was also painful during oral and i had to ask her to be more gental. I was refered to the Hospital for a scan on my Scrotum and penis. Cancer was ruled out and they thought i had fibres in my penis? I wes relieved it was not cancer of course but nothing else was really done by the Urologist...he said he could operate but it may make me unable to have erections? great. I went away and hoped it would get better but it got worse so back i went to the gp he refered me to another Urologist who said he wanted to do an Endocopsy (a camera up the penis)to make sure nothing wrong with the bladder and anything else in there! I was beside myself for about a month knowing i was going to have to have this done....Wrongly i looked up the procedure on the net and read horror stories about this going wrong and almost lost my nerve. I can tell you it is not pleasent whatsoever but after the camera has been inserted which is very painful it is in the bladder within seconds and its uncomfortable but not horrendous. You are in some pain for a day or so after but it goes.
So nothing was found.....however since that happening my penis just before the head has an Egg timer sort of shape like it has a tight belt around it,its lost some length and epsecially girth by the head and the head its self does not get as rounded. The penis is starting to curve upwards and is very painful during erections. I think i can feel the hard scar tissue just below the head which is causing this to do this? It seems to be getting worse by the day.
My questions please are....Surly the surgeons/specialists should see and examine the penis when its erect or see a photo of it,They cant really tell or feel when its flacid its true state.
Has anybody had the "nesbitt Tuck"done and wes it succussful? Or any other surgery for that matter?
I seems there is really no cure for this Disease by the sounds of what most of the members are saying? Drugs, pills etc.
Does it ever go away.....and how can the hard scar tissue ever go or break up...i just cant see this happening.
I am very consious of the horrible shape of my penis when i am with a woman....its freakish now and was always something that was admired. I am a male of 52 yrs age. To top all this i have to take two Alcivior (sorry about the spelling)tabs a day to combat Herpies which rears up on the Crown every now and again!
My murky sexual past creeping up on me i think.
Thank you for reading this post and i look forward to your replys,as im going out of my mind with this.I dont know what to do next.

Any good news for me please?

Congratulations!  You accomplished a lot by posting on this forum.  The men (sometimes women also) that you will meet here have an enormous amount of knowledge, compassion, and a willingness to share with you.  I have been on the forum for three years and every question that I have asked has been answered with a straight forwarded, unconditional, experiential understanding of Peyronies Disease.

Personally, I can only offer you two bits of advice which I believe will be of great benefit if you have been or will be diagnosed with Peyronies Disease :

1.  Find a Urologist who "TREATS" (Specializes in) Peyronies Disease, as well as sexual dysfunction.  You need to advise the forum which state
you live in  and someone can/will recommend a doctor.  Don't tarry, time is of the essence!

2.  Read every post on this forum, relative to treatment, and be sure to read new posts daily.  Guys Like George, Hawk, and Old Man, are
very knowledgeable about Peyronies Disease and they offer substantial advise.

Knowledge is power.  Once you begin to understand what you are really dealing with and what the alternatives are then you can plan your attack.  I can assure you that Peyronies Disease will not give up easily and will often times fight back.  However, you can be relatively successful if you are tenacious.  There are stories here of men who have overcome this insidious disease.   While Peyronies Disease is a huge problem it is also an "unsolved opportunity."

God speed!
