Doppler experience one year later…

Hello,

Thanks for the much needed support and confidence.

I don't know if anyone has had an experience like this!  If anyone has, please share.

Above my uro's office is a surgical center.

I had to be in nothing but a robe with surgical socks and a cap, of corse the mask they give.  They had the oxygen hoses in my nose for precaution.  There were two nurses plus an anesthesiologist in the room to keep an eye on my vitals.  They had this machine come down, I assume it gave me an X-ray of my pelvic area.  After that he injected me, I didn't get erect but I heard him say "very good."  The whole thing lasted like seven minutes.

Afterwards the nurse told me I may still get an erection throughout the day.  She gave me my paperwork and showed me the name of the dye that was injected.  When I got home, I'm was still flaccid but my glands looked a bit full.

I made an appointment for next Tuesday and he'll discuss the results.  I'll make another post next week when I get back.

This sounds way different than my dopplers. When you say you didn't get erect do you mean not at all or just not fully? My first doppler I was ROCK HARD, the 2nd he gave me half of the dose he did my first and I was just kind of semi erect which apparently is enough for the doppler.

Not at all.  He did say it wouldn't fully erect but I feel it didn't.

Is the injection usually a dye?

I think maybe you got a chub or a semi? Since you are not aroused the boner feels less full but no erection whatsoever indicates organic ED and need for a penile prosthesis.

It seems strange to me your doctor didn't share what he was seeing while doing the procedure that's what mine did.

I don't ED though.  My erections aren't as hard as they used to be but my sex drive is the same.

I have lots of questions I plan on asking Tuesday.

My doppler was with Dr Levine and he pointed out on the screen what he was seeing and made his comments. I did have a pretty rock hard erection from the first injection. Then a second injection to bring things down to a semi erection. I would suggest writing down your questions for your next visit to ask the Dr. I always bring with me a clipboard with a ton of questions into every Dr's visit so I don't forget what to ask and then what they've said.

I have the questions in my iPhone notes.  I started doing that since last year because when I get there I can't remember what I want to ask.
