3 months of RestoreX usage in the acute stage

Hello again PF,

I started using the RestoreX about 2 months after my curvature began to appear, when it was at about 30 degrees. I have been taking pictures and tracking my progress. I just crossed the 3 month mark and have some retrospective thoughts. During this time, I had about 95% consistent usage in the sense that I only missed a dozen or so of 30 minute sessions (normal use being 2x 30 minute sessions per 24 hour period).

The Good
- My flaccid and erect pain went away within a week of using PTT
- I believe PTT with the RestoreX helped to prevent the worsening of my curvature
- I also believe PTT helped to maintain my length, only losing a small percentage of what it used to be
- Stretching feels good. It's been a boon psychologically; we're all deeply aware how any hope is priceless with this horrible curse

The Bad
- I have new scarring and totally grotesque indentations/deformities near where the RestoreX clamp sits, just behind the head of my penis. I don't know for certain if this was just the natural progression of the disease, but my initial scarring is about 2 inches south of the new trauma and consistent with an injury during sex. This new scarring can be felt as thick cords on either side of the top of my shaft and I can't help but believe the RestoreX caused this. I've been using the makeup pad modification since the first week of use. Dr. Trost claims on his subforum that very rarely does new scarring develop from use of the RestoreX, so at my most optimistic I'm hoping that taking a break will perhaps lessen the swelling and show improvement
- I have not noticed an appreciable improvement of my curvature, rather just the lack of worsening of the angle

I think I'm discontinuing use at this time, or at least cutting back to once a day/a couple times per week. I don't really know what the future holds anymore, my biggest fear is further regression.

Sorry to hear that you noticed further deformities after usage of the device. Sadly it seems all of the non surgical trestments are either hit or miss though in many cases it seems when it's a miss it's a real huge one. I've heard and seen people with quite drastic curves use traction and with time become almost fully straight but many of them got indentations and narrowing. Hope you find something that works.

I think Sonic makes a good point about non surgical treatments being hit or miss. Personally, Restorex has been very hit or miss for me sometimes it made my dick and erections look straighter and longer and also made my erections firmer BUT sometimes it would make my erections softer and I would/ still kinda do notice indention where I clamped and thus I stopped using it and my erections improved again. Remember Dr. Trost is the inventor of the Restorex so his well intentioned opinions could have some bias.

I think you are right to listen to your body take a break my erections have improved a lot with cessation of use

One thing that you need to keep in mind is that in the acute stage of peyronies anything is possible in terms of new deformities and damage to your penis. Also remember that erections can also be affected by your personal hormone levels, stress, anxiety ,etc... I believe that doing nothing is worse than employing some kind of strategy. We all have had the trial and error stage. I remember when I was in the acute stage that I was past the worst part, then bam curvature started happening almost overnight. This disease is sometimes a mysterious beast that can attack out of nowhere.
