Couple questions about vacuum pump use

I'm using the SomaTherapy-OTC pump btw

1. During the "practice sessions" am I supposed to get erections, or not until the actual use?

2. How long should the sessions be? Because I saw something about doing it for a minute, but also it says to do the process for 10-20 minutes per day.
