Pre-Xiaflex penile ultrasound: what was your experience?

Gents, I've been using RestoreX diligently coming up on four months now. It has helped but not enough and I have a consult with a Peyronie's expert in about three weeks. A penile ultrasound is most likely in the cards as a prelude to Xiaflex. What was your experience with this procedure? I watched a video was mortified.....they inject your organ with a compound that induces an erection, then they put you alone in a room and you're supposed to watch porn videos to induce an erection? Then some stranger measures your organ and runs an ultrasound all over it?

The thought of having needles stuck in my d!ck and then being told to watch porn in a doctor's office sounds as erection-inducing as root canal without Novocaine. Perhaps I am catastrophizing and your feedback would be very much appreciated.

A penile ultrasound is when a Dr injects a Trimix into your penis with a 31 gauge needle. It may sting just a little. The Dr leaves the room and your penis will start to swell up/get an erection. My Dr just told me to think sexy thoughts or use a little manual stimulation to help things along. Then he came back in and performed the ultrasound with the machine and could tell about my blood flow and what he saw internally.  Then when done he gave me another injection to bring it down some. I have never heard of Dr's making you watch porn for this procedure. I would though think twice before getting Xiaflex and read the forum for other member experiences.

Thanks for your note. The porn thing was shown in a medical school video about performing a penile ultrasound. The pros and cons of Xiaflex have been carefully considered; step one was to find a doctor that is an absolute expert in Peyronie's and fortunately there is one about an hour from my house. He has authored multiple publications about Xiaflex and is past President of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA). Dr. Trost mentioned that membership in SMSNA is a key criteria in picking your treating physician. This doctor may wind up saying that I'm not a candidate for Xiaflex as no exam or imaging has been done yet. I have tried to find palpable plaque on multiple occasions and can't find anything but then again, I don't know what I'm looking for. The appointment is about three weeks out and I'll keep going with RestoreX. It's strange because I'm seeing length and counterbending gains while using the device but they are not translating into reduced angle or increased penile length when erect. I guess the transient gains are a positive as something is happening. Heck, I had a pretty substantial underbite as a kid and it took three years of orthodontia to fix it. I ain't waiting three years to see if RestoreX is going to fix this and it's time to see an expert.
