Hi everyone. I'm a 33 year old male living in the UK. I've been browsing this forum recently for information and I've decided to take the next step of signing up and posting as I come to terms with the fact that this condition isn't something I can just ignore. I'm currently waiting for my first appointment with a urologist and as such, still don't have an official diagnosis of what's wrong. I'm 99% sure I have Peyronie's (as is my doctor) as I have at least one hard plaque on the left side of my shaft, a second possible plaque just above, which has pushed into the glans, causing potential nerve damage. My erections are difficult, weak and brief and my penis bends to the left due to the plaque. I believe I've had these issues for some time (an embarrassingly long time, if I'm honest), not helped by an antidepressant I used to take which led to rough nighttime masturbation.

Like many, my mental health has been badly affected by this. Fortunately, after attempting 'nofap' and feeling worse for it, I've found that I am still able to achieve some small amount of pleasure/relief and ejaculation via careful masturbation with lube. This small victory has prompted me to take the next step and become more proactive while I wait for my appointment. Still, I worry about the condition a lot.

Lastly, having read through the Survival Guide posted by Hawk, I'm considering purchasing the supplements listed there and any advice on those or anything else will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
AtAGlans

Aware of Peyronies Disease since October '22.
Awaiting 1st urologist appointment.
Likely Peyronie's (hard plaque on shaft/under glans), likely nerve damage, likely ED, penis bends left.
Researching options to help. Started supplements.

Hello mate

I too have scarring under/into the glans. VED is at least helping with the pain.

How are things now?
35. No injury. Lump Feb 22.
Pain, dent, left & upward bend ~50deg. Bad EQ.
Cialis Dac 22 - ear issues.
Diagnosed Feb 23.
VED Oct 22. PMP Feb 23.
Lump reduced May 23, dent remains, angle a little better. EQ improved.

Supportive partner, depression.

Hey Friend,

Same age and i've had hardened tissue in like an HG shape for 12 years I can DEFINITELY trace the onset of the deformity to prolonged MASTERBATION. Wasn't an issue until I reinjured it recently. My first thought is if you are in good cardiovascular health I would try maximum dosage cialis 20mg or viagra 100mg. For me being on cialis/viagra helped me recover my natural erections after a bit of use after my last injury.

If the PDE5's do not work I would move on to ICI trimix or bimix you will most likely be able to get a solid erection with those (if not placement of a prosthesis is a must). Also, you could try experimental treatments for wound healing like PRP and ESWT if available in the UK.

Traction and VED can also help a lot of folks have had success with those avenues but personally I have not.

Trimix worked well but caused more scarring.

Also, be VERY careful masterbating with sub par erections as buckling can make your problem worse.

Bud luck

I do not recommend Shockwaves or PRP, they are not FDA approved and not regulated, they are scams that are very profitable for Medical Scammers
My first symptoms started early in 2019
I tried Traction device, Pentofixiline, Q10, TRT, L-Argenine, cialis
I have narrowing/dent/hinge on the left side of my shaft
My ED is getting worse
Had a PRP shot Aug 2021
I have a girlfriend
Age 46

Buds right but recently there was a positive study on ESWT. https://www.urotoday.com/recent-abstracts/men-s-health/peyronie-s-disease/129865-low-intensity-extracorporeal-shock-wave-therapy-for-peyronie-s-disease-a-single-center-experience.html

However, it's a gamble and your money may be better spent on going right to surgery. Should pde5's and surgery fail.

Hello mate. I'm also in the UK. 41, diagnosed. I would say from my experience be very cautious of what advice you choose to act on. I had one urologist tell me to just leave it alone, another told me to use the VED/pump. The pump made me worse most likely because I had a tight pelvic floor/a condition known as hard flaccid - this makes your tissues more taut than usual and may not respond as others do. Or, it could just be that with my particular pattern of scarring using a vacuum pump was a bad idea this is why unfortunately you have to be very careful.

Everything you're feeling is natural. This is a really challenging condition to get diagnosed with. But its not all over, you're going to have some of the best times in your life yet to come. Might be worth looking into self-care and other forms of emotional health just to help better pad out your tool kit to help you navigate this up and down condition. You will have good days where you swear you could bang a room full of hotties, and then bad days where you may be inflamed, sore or have pain and may not have been able to have a sexual release for some time. Just try and cultivate resilience and know that you didn't choose this, it's not your fault no matter how you got it..And it's not over for you.

Hope any of this helped.

Cheers.
