Tight skin under glans (where my plaque is) cause of Peyronies Disease and affecting recovery?

Me again. 50 days in.

So I've been using the A chamber almost exclusively for the last couple of weeks. I'm finding that by pulling my foreskin back and using generous amounts of lube, I am able to fill the chamber completely, apart from where my plaques are. For about the first 3 or 4 weeks I was using the B chamber and my foreskin wasn't pulling back at all, so I don't think I was actually doing anything helpful for for the first 20-30 days or so.

Despite getting worse initially, I have moved to using the VED twice daily as per the study in the Soma manual, and I think I am starting to feel that the scarred area is filling the chamber just a tiny bit more each time, and whereas before I was only able to pump up to about 8 full pumps, I have been able to progress to 9 and a half now, so I am quietly hopeful that this is having at least some effect. I do of course understand that this may be just in my head.

What I have noticed, is that the actual skin around where my plaques are is extremely tight. I've always had a tight foreskin, as a teen I had to literally force my glans through, but I've never thought much of it since. There is a definite stretching sensation that I feel in the skin (rather than the plaques) and the skin visibly looks like it's being stretched, as opposed to the rest of the skin in the area.

For years my foreskin has always looked like there was a thin elastic band around the top of my penis once it's underneath the glans, but again I've never had any reason to think this was anything other than normal for me.

What I am wondering now, is if that tight skin is what's caused the microtrauma? It's the exact area where I have plaques, and I wonder if over the years the tight skin has been causing damage to the tunica in that area. I also wonder wether Peyronies Disease has been coming on slower than I initially thought and maybe that area has been getting thinner/tighter without me really noticing until the pain started.

That said, I am now also wondering if this may affect any chance of recovery that I might have. As it stands, I feel like the skin is taut way before the tunica is getting a stretch in that area, so I guess the first thing the VED is going to be doing is helping to stretch that skin, before it can stretch the scar tissue underneath... this is obviously disappointing but I wonder if it means I wil have to use the VED for longer than 6 months. I know some people haven't noticed improvements until way past 6 months, if at all.

What is frustrating now, is that I don't get an erection any more, so I can't really "check" my progress. I still get NTE but they are still mildly painful so I tend not to spend too long with them. The psychological element of this has hit me so badly that I'm simply not interested in trying to get them now. I have ordered Cialis 5mg daily however, so once I've had a couple of days of that I will start trying again.

Just putting it out there.

I'm not sure whether having the foreskin pulled back or not should make any difference in the VED. I actually found it felt better for me to not have it pulled back, but it's been a while since I have tried it that way. I'm not sure what the case is with other men, but I find my foreskin rarely pulled back on its own before Peyronies Disease, occasionally it would when having sex with a condom, but I'd usually prefer if it didn't as it just felt better to me.

I think generally the skin would always stretch a lot more easily than any scar tissue, but it's hard to say. When my Peyronies Disease first started it was right behind my glans and the narrowing has basically moved most of the way down my shaft over a 2 year period, but interestingly the area right behind the glans has now filled back out and feels free of plaque, so it's almost like it's progressed, but also healed over time as well. I continue to hope that over time the area that is currently affected improves again too.

It really is true that every case of Peyronies Disease is very different and what works for some may not work for others.

When my foreskin wasn't pulled back, which was basically the first 4 or so weeks of my VED use, I wouldn't reach any kind of length and I definitely didn't feel any kind of stretch at all.

Personally for me, I feel like having my foreskin up was stopping anything from expanding enough for the VED to be helpful.

Since I posted this 4 days ago I've noticed that the skin I mentioned is already feeling less stretched, so I'm hoping that as the skin loosens, the scar tissue area will be allowed to expand and stretch further. I feel like I'm so close to being able to completely fill out my scarring/dent area in the VED. Another couple of weeks maybe.

I am also up to 10 full pumps now (up from 8 a couple of weeks ago).

Time will tell.

How is it going now greycat? You manage to fill out the scarring/dent area?

Also what's you routine with the VED?
