Daily 5mg cialis - too often?

I'm taking 5mg cialis daily and I'm just curious what everyone thinks I should.

I didn't have erectile disfunction in that I could get an erection, but they were probably more like 75-80% at their strongest. Now they seem to be back to their best using the drug.
I had pretty bad flaccid pain which does genuinely seemed to have lessened since starting the daily cialis, as well as cq10, and the two L supplements.

My question is - if the drug lasts up to 36 hours, why is it needed daily? Surely every other day would make sense?

This might be a stupid question but any answer would be welcome.

The half life of Tadalafil is about 17 hours. So it gets weaker over time. The 36 hours is more like a rule of thumb. It is dependend in the dosage.
Peyronie's onset in 11/2021. Age 39
Two plaques under the glans. Minimal pain, only congenital curvature.
Tadalafil 2.5 - 5 mg per day + TRT

You can try take it one day on and off. I do it sometimes. And i still see a good effect of the drug.

Thanks for the response chaps, I mainly ask because I've been taking it before bed and nocturnal erections are really waking me up. They are pretty strong and unless I get up and pee or just move about a bit I'm pretty sure the erection would just last all night, which is obviously dangerous in itself.

Do you think it would be useful to maybe start taking it in the morning instead of at night? That way it would peak whilst I'm awake and more aware and able to stop unwanted prolonged erections.

P. S. I'm grateful for erections, not complaining at all, just worried at the risks of long sustained erections can bring when asleep.

All advice welcome and appreciated 🙏👍😊

If you are noticing such symptoms 100% switch to taking them in the morning. You could end up with a sleep related priapism which could definitely cause further damage. I once took Tadalafil and woke up with an erection once that was legitimately hard as iron and felt really uncomfortable. It took maybe 15-20 mins to go down and the penis was sore for a day or two. Thinking back I swear I wouldn't be surprised if that is what caused Peyronies for me in the first place.

I don't know it's all just a guess but it could very well have been a episode of priapism. Although it went down as I said around 15-20 mins after I woke up who knows how long it was erect like that in the sleep?

Perhaps it didn't cause my Peyronies but I do for sure think that episode contrubted to my ED.

So just to be safe switch to the mornings. If you still get those symptoms I'd say stop taking them.

Also I agree with Pfract, you can take them every other day instead of every day.

^ Second this, I would just decrease the dose. I take 5mg a day of tadalafil, and do get night erections but nothing like what you mentioned. Just normal ones.

On a positive note, ever since this whole mess started I actually get more night erections than ever before with the VED alone, and tadalafil made it even better lol.
