What is the preferred position people like using restorex for?  Just got mine and will be starting it tomorrow.  I made all the one-time setup adjustments.

Did anyone also have their significant other assist them in getting the penis in the device.  I feel like I need a third hand, maybe because I'm a noob.   I couldn't keep my penis from slipping out when trying to close the clamp.

I would lay down and clamp the device. Standing up was too difficult for me. Also look into using the makeup pads for better gripping. There is a post in the forum about it.

Sitting works for me. I can do more when I'm sitting than when I'm lying down.

About the other question, works for me to position myself using one hand and close the clamp using the other. You just have to learn to slide your positioning hand out while you're closing the clamp. Not difficult, you'll get it quickly.

And yes, the makeup pads for the clamp faces, along with a tissue for counterbending, have made life with Restorex a lot better for me as well.

Richie, a few things I found when using RestoreX:
1. As others have mentioned, makeup pads make using the device much more comfortable
2. An easy way to properly position and clamp is to remove the clamp from the RestoreX, place yourself through the pelvic ring, accurately clamp the head and then reinstall the clamp onto the device. Clamping should be done when there is no spring tension.
3. When first clamped the glans will have a good amount of blood in it. After a couple of minutes it will compress and  you may need to push down a click or two as to maintain clamping pressure.
4. I have done all sessions while sitting. It's kind of awkward to stand with this thing on....sometimes I'll walk to get a cup of coffee while wearing the RestoreX and it's a strange journey to say the least.

It was a bit freaky to see what I looked like at the end of a 30-minute session. The glans is compressed and the organ looked like it was lifeless, almost like an un-watered house plant. No worries as things return to normal in a couple of minutes. There is a recommended maximum session length of 30 minutes. Good luck with "yoga".

Howdy: There seems to be progress but it's too soon to declare victory. At first I could only get to a 45-degree bend and can now reliably get to 120 degrees. Stretched length has increased to the point where I'm almost ready to install the extended rods. That's the good news. The bad news is that an erection still results in a freak bend and I don't see permanent improvement yet. I guess the increasing bend angle and length means something is happening. The VED doesn't really seem to have any effect on curve although it has helped with girth and rigidity. My wife said, "You definitely feel harder". Hey, I'll take it!  :P ;) :D

This comment pretty much sums it up. Very accurate!

Richie, I just noticed in your signature line that you are on Finasteride for BPH. I have been on it for 22 years due to a nasty family history of aggressive prostate cancer. If Finasteride does indeed cause Peyronie's (the jury is still out), perhaps we are in the same boat? My PSA has been holding at .4-.5 since going on Finasteride and it would scare the shirt out of me to see PSA levels if the drug was stopped. A choice of cancer or a bent penis. Yey.  :( :-[

Yeah I stopped the finasteride.  My prostate wasn't enormous, it was like 40g now its like 25g.  So it worked but I didn't know all the side effects.  A different urologist that I'm seeing for peyronies said he doesn't give that to younger people for BPH.  If they can tolerate the frequent urination he says it's better than sexual side effects.  For the last month I'm not on anything.  Hoping it doesn't increase in size any further but it probably will.

I thought finasteride only shrinks the prostate and has nothing to do with prostate cancer prevention?

Howdy: I am on Finasteride on an off-label basis for prostate cancer prevention and have been taking it for 22 years. Never had an issue with BPH. The drug stops production of dihydrotestosterone which is thought to be rocket fuel for prostate cancer (emphasis on "thought to be").  This is my situation only and does not apply to others: my family has a nasty history of aggressive prostate cancer on both sides. I continue to take finasteride and my PSA has held at .4-.5 for 22 years. There is ample evidence that the drug causes all kinds of issues including erectile dysfunction, lowered sex drive, anxiety and Peyronie's. It's a Devil's bargain: stop finasteride and watch my PSA rise or deal with a bent penis. Yey.
