Hi!

Thought I should write down a little of my experience here. I am scheduled for a Plication surgery  tomorrow. My peyronies started in spring 2021, tried medication and PMP without any results.
My biggest concern with the surgery are how satisfied I will be regarding length loss. I'm also worried about the pain but that's at least temporary.

I'll attached a before photo (with edited exposure) will hopefully be able to post a after photo in some months.

Perhaps your PMP could be used when healing is done in order to salvage some of the size loss.

Again best of luck tomorrow, keep us updated on how you are doing in this thread.

Best of luck!  My condition is almost identical to yours, and I'm strongly considering the same surgical treatment (once stabilized). Looking forward to hearing about the great results I'm sure you'll obtain!

Thanks again!
Update/ surgery account: (still under the influence of fentanyl and ketogan, but will try to be "sober") I'm not fluent in English so if I'm messing it up, don't be afraid to ask for a clarification! I don't mind. Long account so skip it if you like, i kind of "liked" reading outher forum members in detail descriptions so will do the same. I never had a surgery before.

Was great taken care of by all the staff at Capio urology. Changed chlothes to the nice looking (not) classic hospital robe. Was given a prolonged-release oxycodone tablett and two more "light" painkillers it the waiting room. A nurse put in a intravenous line in my arm. Next i met the surgeons. In Sweden there are not many trained doctors on peyronies so i got two, the more experienced one, that was to overlooked the surgery done by the less experienced. Actually just felt great to have two on site !

I got the first injection to give me an erection. This however turned out to faile. Instead of a hard-on my face and chest blushed up(kind of like taking a Viagra). They waited about 20 mins then decided to inject me again with another medication. That worked . Probably he manages to miss (?) the first one. Neither of the injections where painful and I wasn't nervous about pain the second time around. About a 1 out of 10 (or less). Heexplained that he didn't persue a completely straight penis, the reason is that the penis will look and be slightly longer. Totally fine with that(this information was also given by my first visit a couple of months ago with the veteran surgeon)

Now back to the waiting room and after about 5 minutes I was sitting there with a large erection.
After a bit of waiting time I was picked up by the nurse and walked to the operating theatre.
Highly nervous but calmed down by the staff. Probably 2 nurses and the anesthetist. Was sedated and "blacked out" next memory is of a nurse in the waiting room asking me to wake up.

My Swedish snuff, my iPhone and some water on my little table.(the nurse also used Swedish snuff and understood the meaningfullness of it 😊) texted my wife to let here know I was alright. After about 40 minutes the surgeon came buy. Felt like 2 minutes, because of the fentanyl and ketogan I apparently got while sedated. 🙃

According to the surgeon the surgery went well and my penis is now straight. It took about 30-40 minutes.
I will have a bandage on my penis about 24 hours then take it of and shower like normal(of course carefully...) under the bandage there are a larger bandaid that will either will come of or be in place a bit longer. Doesn't matter. They did the cut on the underside of the penis so
the scaring wouldn't be so prominent. Dissolvable sutures under the skin. The "real" sutures for the straightening are non dissolvable.

Another 20/30 minutes just "chillin'" as the nurse expressed then I was ready to go.
Texted my wife that drove in and picked me up. NEVER been so greatfull of here extremely careful driving style. I will not complain about that another second of my life😊

Now at home just staying put in the couch on my back. Extremely cautious of movement.
Lying stil pain about 2/10 but I'm having effect of the opiates stil. Also took 1g of paracetamol. Next medication 💊 on due is in about 5 hours, 5mg of ocycodine and 1g of paracetamol.

Clarification (of this post and all outhers I make)
it's just my personal experience, you may have a different experience and outcome.
Post surgery Day 1
Woke up from surgery about 11.30 yesterday it's now 14.00 the day after.
I actually slept quite good, woke up two times but don't know why, didn't feel any pain , just some slight discomfort, pain level 1/10 at night. Dont know if I had any erection.

I'm still very careful about moving around and just mostly chillin, but it doesn't hurt when I'm walking.

I just took of my bandage around the penis, it wasn't very hard but got nausea seeing the blood on the ventral side of the penis. It's red and quite a lot. Will keep it under supervision so it's not bleeding to much. The bandaid should be kept on about a week(wrong info in last post)
Except  the blood on the ventral side I got a couple of bruises on dorsal side of the penis(prob where they put in the needles for erection) and a slight bruise on the foreskin close to glans. Don't know where that comes from, but not worried.

That's todays "adventure" now I'm back in my precious couch😊

Stil taking 1g paracetamol and 5mg oxycodone about every 5-6 hours. (4 times a day) . Don't know if I really need it though. Will stil take it as prescribed today. Tomorrow I will try to just take the morning and night dose to see if thats working for me.

hi ascend

just want to clarify. when you mentioned "they cut underside of penis" did you mean degloving or did you undergo circumcision ?

thanks

Hi thecrookedone!

Well actually neither. They did a incision along the penis shaft ventral. So not degloved (if you mean the whole skin being polled down) not circumcised.
They then stitched this incision up, most of my blood comes from this incision (by the looks of it, stil  have the bandaid.
For the plication they seem to have used 8 non disovable sutors. If I read my journal right😊 then stiched and taped the superficial part of the penis

Day 5 after Plication. Probably won't update again before I can do a little photo shoot and have the guts and motivation to make my self erect. Can't wait to see the reusults and decide what i think about this "new" Penis.
But here's the latest developments
The bleeding have stopped so all "good"
Having a bit of nightly erections, stil a bit uncomfy but can't call it pain.
Last morning I think I had an almost full erection. My penis seems a lot shorter but it looked totally straight.
My wife stil, and always, very suporting. She feels fine about lenght loss. I'm not so convinced but we have managed to have sex and intercorse even with the almost 60° bend so guessing it wont be any worse at least.

Hi Ascend, how is your progress so far? Any updates?

Diagnosed in 2019 initially ventral indentation, hourglassing w/ slight rightward curve
In 2020 developed dorsal curvature, ~70 deg
Tried traction (PMP), VED, heat, vitamin E, no change
Modified Nesbit surgery Dec 2022, <10 deg

Hi!
I Will post an update with photos.
I am SO pleased I did this. The penis is straight. I didn't loose a massive amount of length.
I have had almost no pain. My wife is pleased.
Around X-mas time I'm "allowed" to use it again. Looking forward to it.

Great to hear man, I am happy for you!

Looking forward to the before/after photos, I think that would be interesting for a lot of members who consider surgery. Always nice to hear about positive and encouraging changes.
