I have an appt with a peyronies specialist on Wednesday.  I read a ton of helpful stuff but had some questions

1) Are there any videos showing the manual traction exercises.  I saw one on you tube but it kept pulling the penis forward and then down.  Would that help for a left curvature?
2) I saw the link and download about measuring the curve but that was for an upward curve.  How would I go about measuring to the left?
3) For sex what positions are generally recommended and/or advised against if I have what I estimate to be 15 degree curve to the left?

Thank you

What do you mean by manual traction? That is typically referred to when stretching your penis using your hand as opposed to using a traction device. I DO NOT recommend "manual traction" using your hand.

You need to take a picture perpendicular to your curve. If you curve directly to the left, then take a picture from above. PM me if you have any questions.

A 15 degree curve is very slight. Any sex position would be fine. I would avoid Cowgirl position regardless of your curve. You have less control of slipping out and your partner coming down on you with you ramming their pubic bone. This is a recipe for a Peyronies injury.

Thank you very much for your answers.  I see a lot of people talking about manual traction though on the board, why do you say not to do it and use a device instead?

I will make a reverse question for you Richie.

Can you post me a single study where traction by hand has been studied as a means to correct Peyronies Disease?

I thought not, because there are none. All the studies are made on devices. I know some guys on here says manual traction cured them but I call BS on that.

Even with devices who provide a constant pulling force studies have shown you have to wear them for many hours and many months before even slightest results will happen so I just cannot picture in my head how stretching your penis by hand throughout the day is going to make even remote difference to your curvature.

Also remember many guys who have tried it became worse. I am one of them. Do it at your own risk but do know chances are higher you are going to deform your penis further rather than correct any symptoms.

Thank you for your response.  I'm eager for my appointment wednesday to see what the Dr says.   Did anything help stabilize or improve yours?  Mine is curved to the left about maybe 15-20 degrees for about 2 months.  Only thing I've done so far is take cialis

I honestly do not know. 2.5 years later it feels like my curve still has not stabilized.

I honestly think this whole aspect you read about online where the disease has different stages is BS.

I think once you get it, it can evolve at any pace and every single person who gets it will have a different scenario. It is not this simple as ''acute and chronic stages''

I agree with Sonic right here.  I don't believe it ever stabilizes.  When you have it, you have it.   :(

Good luck

Not trying to be contradictory but in rare cases Peyronie's can heal itself, or at least partially heal itself.  So while it is true what everyone is saying here about how there are not necessarily set textbook stages to the disease, and how each individual's case is different, there are cases in which Peyronie's stabilizes or improves.  So while you need to be prepared that you may not be one of the lucky ones who improves, it's extreme and unwarranted to give up hope entirely.  I am not just playing word games:  I do know actual cases in which the bend and the hourglassing improved with nothing more than Vitamin E and occasional use of Cialis during sexual encounters.

Just wanted to check with the group as I saw a great doctor on Long Island that specializes in peyronies.  I have about a 15-20% curve to the left and had peyronies for 2-3 months

I'm on 2.5 mg of cialis and starting Pentox as well and then come back in 3 months.  He said maybe it would stabilize.  Then he wants to inject something to make an erection to see the blood flow and the exact angle.  He said I wasn't a candidate for xiaflex yet and he said the restore-x alone without the xiaflex doesn't really help the curve.

Thoughts from the group?  Thank you.

Hey richie2222,

The intracavernous injection is not entirely without risk.  Read this article and discuss with your doctor:

https://www.verywellhealth.com/corpus-cavernosa-injections-4783131#:~:text=Also%20known%20as%20penile%20injections,the%20penis%20to%20become%20erect.

Also, if you think your doctor is great, you could introduce him to the Forum.  Disguised advertisement is against Forum rules, but sharing of information is welcome so please feel free to name the doctor and continue to give the Forum your views on him, particularly "he's still great, because abc" or "he's not so great after all, because xyz".

Thanks,
PK

Thanks.  Aside from a prolonged erection are there other risks, I didn't see anything else in the article?  I've only seem this peyronie's doctor once but so far I think he's competent but maybe I should at least wait until I've seen him a 2nd time before I recommend or not recommend him.
