46yr old. Grafting for hourglass OR getting an implant and being done with it

Hi all

Been battling with an acute phase of peyronies for about 14 months that always seems to have tricks up its sleeve. I originally had a downward bend just below the head but that deformity stopped after 9 months and I kinda reverted to my natural bannana shape. However the plaque then did some weird "growing south thing" and I now have very unsightly hourglassing under the head. Erections still strong but if it gets any thinner I'm worried the thing will snap on penetration. Have noticed my natural banana shape 'upward bend' has been increasing slightly. There's also a plaque at the shaft which the uro says is causing loss of length.

In Aus so xiaflex not an option (my uro is convinced it doesn't work anyway). My uro has performed surgery in the past with Dr Tom Lue and we've agreed on the following plan for next six months:

*Daily cialis 5mg (previously did 10mg once every 5 days or so)
*better discipline with VED (using every day when I can), not the 2/3 times a week I have been.
*Start using Restorex daily (both for stretching and to moderate this emerging upward bend). Product arrived today and kinda feels therapeutic getting a good stretch in doesn't it?
*Reassess in six months with a view to possible grafting to fix the girth issue.

Hopefully the bend issues remain manageable. My main concern is width/girth. Not going to cry if I lose a tiny bit of length but my uro is insistent I be as brutal as I can with Restorex SO that any length concerns with future procedures are minimised.

Here's my concern. If a surgeon is going in, I'd prefer they only do it once. I've read plenty of posts here with men having grafts done, not being fully happy and eventually opting for an implant.

I have no psychological issues with an implant IF that is my best shot of ultimately pushing the width/girth back out to what it was. I'd sort of prefer to only go under the knife once and just move on with my life. Matter of fact I find the idea of an inflatable donger highly amusing.

Open to hear of any experiences where grafting resolved hour-glassing and people were happy with it.

Also keen to hear from people who wish they bit the bullet and went straight to an implant rather than just grafting.

First of all welcome to the forum. Secondly it seems you have been blessed with a good urologist because his plan seems like a well though out one. Are you using a soma device VED?

Stick to his plan and see how things go. It might become worse but then again it might improve greatly. Regardless I'd say in 6 months when you make your follow up appointment with the doc if things have not improved just go for the graft.

Why go for such a complicated procedure as an implant when you have no erectile issues? I will say though that if you ever reach a point where you start getting serious ED then it's def worth consulting your doc over an implant.

Best of luck!

Using Vacurect but seeing a few people post about the Soma. Any real difference in mechanism of action and would one type of VED be better for improving girth over another you reckon?

I've seen a few grafting vids and it seems like a relatively non-invasive procedure (insofar as how the "de-gloving" process could be deemd to be non-invasive)

Mr man

Hello kj5454,

Iv not had any sugery yet but my policy for surgery is avoid it when you can. Fixing something that is not broken is never a good idea. In that sense. I agree with the previous contributor.

It's worth noting also that implants have a lifespan of roughly 15 years. Then you have to have surgery again. Whereas your natural erection is for life. (insha'Allah).

Go with your conservative treatment. My treatment plan got curvature reduced by 15 degrees.
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.
