Discomfort at lesion / plaque?

If I use a VED, I experience mild discomfort. My upwards curvature is more spread along the length of my penis rather than making an obvious kink, but to the extent that I would point to a place and say, "that's where the bend is," that also corresponds to where I feel the discomfort.

The discomfort along the top (dorsal) surface of the penis, a bit behind the glans. I've been using the RestoreX for 3 months and would say that the locations of where I feel the RestoreX and where I feel discomfort with the VED are similar or even the same.

So, I'm wondering- Is it common to feel some discomfort at the plaque when using the VED? To be clear, there's no bruising,  no injury, and the mild discomfort goes away when the vacuum is released. It might last 15 to 30 minutes at times, but that is unusual.  Or, do most people experience nothing in the VED other than just a sense of (negative) pressure?

How long have you been using the VED for?

I'm 7 days in, so far all I experience is the negative pressure. Today was the first day however that I got to maybe 80% erection and I could clearly see the hourglassing for the first time inside the tube.

I'm assuming it'll be another week or so before I can get close to 100% and at that point I'll start to feel a stretch at the two sites maybe?

Currently dealing with a really awful feeling of dehumanisation while using it. The whole ritual of it is horrific. Hoping for some success.
35. No injury. Lump Feb 22.
Pain, dent, left & upward bend ~50deg. Bad EQ.
Cialis Dac 22 - ear issues.
Diagnosed Feb 23.
VED Oct 22. PMP Feb 23.
Lump reduced May 23, dent remains, angle a little better. EQ improved.

Supportive partner, depression.

A shared feeling because none of it is normal, also it takes a lot of time and effort.

Stick with it and try follow the forums protocol for 6 months. If you are consistant I do not see why you should not get positive results.

Best of luck!

Thanks Sonic. I just keep having these "what am I doing?" moments and they just completely throw me.

Still trying to get my head around the protocol, which only ever sees you pump to ~50%, spending 5 minutes first only pumping to 20% then another 5 mins to 30% and then the 10 repetitions at 50%.... but literally two pumps gets me to 50% easily, with the next 10 or so "cycles" getting me to 80-85%... still trying to work that one out.

Best to you

I think that first paragraph in the protocol when it says pump to 20% and so on is only the first few days when you are new to pumping to kinda ease into it and let your penis adjust to the negative pressure at the beginning. When you have gotten into it I am pretty sure you should pump it up to 50% every cycle and hold it for 10-15 secs. I've read through those protocols completely and the reason pumping to a max erection is not advised is because it only increases the risk of injury.

The pumping for peyronies rehab seems to be more about bringing fresh oxygenated blood into the penis for short durations and then letting go of the negative pressure. By doing this repeatedly many members claim to have improved drastically. I would suggest 50% is good enough but if you can reach lets say 70% without any discomfort that won't be an issue. However do not try to go for max erection holds as that seems to have worsened many on here.

I use the one cylinder protocolfrom here. And Yes. It feels dehumanizing. I pump the last session of 5 minutes towards a more strong erection. It doesn't really hurt during the pumping. But afterwards it does for a day. I also feel some irritation in my groin. Because of the pressure of the cylinder. I give my penis some rest now until it feels normal again. Then I'm going to retry even more carefully. For Just a very very light pressure in the plaque. If that's not painless I think I might stop.

Sorry for the slow reply: I experienced the discomfort right away. I began using the pump for different reasons, though. I had prostate surgery almost a year ago and, right after, because using the pump for rehab. Sex is good for rehab and I was trying to use the pump to get a full erection. I have never had any sort of bruising or any physical indication of pumping: Release the vacuum and it looks like I never used it. So, I don't think I was over pumping. Still, it may be more than is called for for Peyronies.

Regarding feeling dehumanized- Make that work for you. I do not mean to dismiss or belittle your feelings, but take it the next step. If you had to soak your foot to heal or stretch a muscle for physical therapy, you'd just say you were soaking or stretching. So, look at your penis just like you'd look at your foot or your leg. It is just a body part receiving therapy. I'm not trying to talk you out of your feelings but am suggesting a shift in how you feel about the feeling, if that makes sense. Maybe what is hiding behind this, also, is a sense of wishing it hadn't happened, that you didn't have to do all this. Me, too. I feel the same. Those feelings can all be there while you do the therapy. Just let them be, recognize them, and there's a good chance they will bother you less over time.
