My plaque was just at base on top and side. I started using the Restorex device. After a few months of gripping the head in the vice part, I now have plaque in the part it was being gripped in. It seems obvious this tight gripping has caused trauma and damage inside. I always feared this as it didn't seem right to put my penis in a vice. I also couldn't stretch the part I wanted near the base, the device cannot stretch that far down it seems; I have tried many different ways. I am now stretching by hand gently, which feels way better than that device. My penis now has multiple plaques and it's depressing af. I will keep manually stretching and improve diet and exercise as that seems key in recovery. Any advice or comments are welcome.

If I understand correctly, in another post you stated that you have plaque just below the head where the device would grip? You may have been gripping part of the shaft which is not recommended in the restoreX manual?

Maybe I didn't explain very well. I rushed it a bit. I followed the online guide and booklet to position penis head into the vice and that is where the new plaque has formed so I can only assume it is down to the vice grip thing. Of course, I cannot be sure, but seems to have caused trauma there.

It could be because of the clamping, but it could also be because of how your plaque is responding to traction.

When I started using restorex, I felt as though the main nodule of my plaque (located roughly two thirds up the shaft) was gradually expanding towards the tip. According to my doc that is neither uncommon nor necessarily permanent as the plaque evolves in one way or another over time. In some cases it more or less disappears and in other cases it stabilises. How traction affects you depends on what stage of Peyronies Disease you are in.

If using the Restorex caused another micro trauma, you are likely to have felt that. For example, some sort of sharp burning pain during the session.

Are you using the makeup pads approach? That might cushion it a bit.

I would also advice using heat while stretching, i.e. a sock filled with dry rice that you microwave and keep on the penis. That improves the stretching as well as reduces the chance of injuries.

Also, I do believe that antioxidants help to reduce the risk for inflammation, but this is my personal opinion. If interested, you can look into slight dietary adaptations or supplements for that if you have not already.

I do recall now there was a time I used the device to bend my penis 90 degrees down against the curve; there was sudden pain. It was probably my fault for not increasing the angle over time. I have also experienced my plaque and penis shape changing over time. I no longer have an hourglass shape for example. I didn't use make-up pads, but I did use 3M Coban tape (with regular tape to hold that tape in place) for cushion and grip. Good advice about heat also. I am using natural turmeric based herbal heating sticky patches at night while I sleep now, plaque seems to be softening and I do take all the necessary (and more) supplements and do daily exercise. I have gained an appreciation for how long it takes the body to heal. I also do manual stretch by hand, gently and am looking to sell my RestoreX device, is there a part of this forum for ppl to do that do you know?

Thank you for your reply.

What you are describing makes a lot of sense, it is a condition that changes over time. Doctors have told me that some people more or less spontaneously heal while others do not. That said, I cannot say whether what you are describing was an actual micro trauma or not, it is hard to tell.

In terms of selling your Restorex - I think you can just post under on the board for traction devices, asking people to PM you if they are interested.

Hope that helps!

All I ever see is ppl saying it will never heal so what you say gives me hope. I do believe the overall condition of the body and mind is vital for recovery. Thanks.

I'm a little confused at where exactly this supposed new plaque from the restorex is located. When people say below the head (glans), I'm not sure if they mean under the glans, or before the glans. For instance, looking at the penis from the side, is this plaque directly under the glans (i.e. parallel to the glans), or before the glans starts (i.e. closer to the base of the penis)?

I hope that makes sense.

Either way, sorry to hear you're having problems with the device, but I would say don't rush into selling it just yet.

Hi, maybe I've used the wrong terminology. I basically mean on top of the penis on the main part, before the head.

Ok gotcha. My instinct tells me that you are likely using it wrong, clamping too far down on the penis. The device shouldn't clamp down past the glans. There are videos on youtube from Dr. Trost's channel demonstrating where to clamp.

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, I watched them and followed them. I think the problem was I bent it and stretched too soon and should have warmed it up properly. Either way, I'm don't with it so looking to sell. Will use manual from now on. Thanks.
