Hey guys I'm 6 months into my peyronies journey and what a tough one it is I feel really depressed but I'm trying to stay positive. I stayed out with a severe curve to the left and after I found Neo's videos on traction by hand I started immediately and have been doing that on and off since.

The thing is that my curvature in the erect stage has gotten better but the narrowing has gotten worse but my question is since I'm only 6 months into it. Is the narrowing just a natural progression of the disease? It's located on the left side like my curve is.

Hope to get some answers to this even though I know that this condition is never the same for anyone. Wish you guys all the best!

Curve to the left, and painful erection.
Still in acute phase.

I would immediately advise you to stop with the traction by hand. Neo and others have reported success and benefit to them and then comes the big problem where everyone including myself instantly think if it worked for them it'll work for me..

I did it for a period last year. You have no idea with manual traction how much pulling force you are using. Just like you it made my narrowing worse and I wish I had never tried it. If you want to continue traction I'd recommend you get a device. I have personally not gotten one myself because 90% of the time I only hear people say traction made their dents and narrowing worse.

Probably traction is better for those with a regular curve but for us with narrowing/dent it becomes tricky..

Narrowing on right side and about a 20° curve to the right.
ED + instability due to narrowing.

Well it sounds like it would be risky to continue and I will stop now. I'm sorry to hear that you have been through the same. So if it did not work for you have you found any other solution and did it improve after you stopped traction?

I'm really feeling desperate hear and to be honest I haven't had many suicidal thoughts lately. It just seems so hopeless. I still have pain and I have to abstain from sexual activity completely, my penis will hurt for days afterwards.

I advise you to check melting's posts in the dmso forum.

I highly agree with him that streching could be good but only in certain conditions.(especially not if you are in the acute stage).

If you just do traction alone with hand then you have to stretch very carefully because only your healthy not rigid tissues will stretch properly.
if you do it this way then is kind of gambling(based on others stories from this forum), whether you will break the scare tissues or make more of it.
Everything that is not ellastic enough could make things worst. So warm up is a must.

If i am correct then neo did it alongside with heat therapy that makes the streching safer because of the increased elasticity and bloodflow.

I think narrowing is harder to dealt with, but with traction devices and veds and with proper use could restore a lot even more if you do it constantly and carefully.

Dmso+x seems a very good option because it seems capable to break down or soften the scares and that could make a hugh different when things come to stretching, however, it takes a lot of DIY and time(probably months, at least 6) but most importantly trial and error.

I looked into DMSO and it sounds interesting, gonna research it some more! But at this point I'm kinda afraid to do anything. I hate this!

I wanna get a VED but its so damn expensive and also comes with a lot of risks. Again, feeling hopeless at this point.

I would highly suggest to not do manual traction as many guys will tell you. How do you know how much force you are actually applying? You need to get a plan of action and I would say start with traction to prevent any further shortening/curving . Also look into VED therapy as this has also helped a lot of guys - me included. Prevention is the key here and slow and steady wins the race. I started with the PMP and used it for about a year before I also added the Restorex. I would say that both devices are good. The Restorex pulling forces are much greater than the PMP but shorter wearing time. I also employed heat therapy which relieved a lot of my pain and facilitated healng.

I have been thinking about investing in a VED (SomaCorrect) problem is as you wrote a post below it's very expensive and also comes with it's risks of worsening the condition upon the slightest wrong usage.

Only thing I use is 5mg daily tadalafil. Also this medication is way too expensive... I'm in a tough position to be honest. Over 2 years have now passed since I got the disease and the narrowing accompanied by the instability to my erections + the Erectile Dysfunction has rendered my sex life almost completely useless.

I never thought I would say this but I am actually considering an implant because none of the standard surgery procedures would work out for me.

I'm sorry to hear that your condition has worsened. I have lost 17 mm in girth over the last year. Maybe it was due to traction, maybe it would be worse without it. I will never know.

Personally, I see surgery as a last resort. In my case, I don't think it would make things better – it would just be different ...
