My theory

This is my theories based upon my experience with Peyronie's. All will not agree but I would like to at least start a conversation on my observations.

I believe we will be seeing a lot more peyronies cases in the near future. I can see a direct link between the Covid virus, covid vaccines and peyronies. I personally first encountered peyronies months after my vaccination. I have had other men tell me this was their experience as well. Also women are more susceptible to auto immune disorders after either having the virus or being vaccinated for it.

This is treatment I wish I could have had.
Begin. Restorex device immediately. I wouldn't expect real results but it's best to get the penis used to the device.

Get xiaflex shots early as possible. Before the first year is up. Before calcification begins. The uro should induce an erection with a shot and verify plaque location with a sonogram. The penis should be nerve blocked to make the process painless.
The Dr should wrap the entire shaft of the penis. All the way to the gland to prevent swelling. The follow up should be the next day still fully wrapped. Again a nerve block should be applied and a vigorous  round of stretching and bending should be done on the Restorex. This should be repeated daily throughout the week. The patient should go home and be on bed rest with plenty of pain pills to reduce discomfort. The wrap should stay in place and again it should be fully wrapped. Anything not wrapped will swell tremendously.

I'm just a guy with the disease. I have had a treatment very similar to this with good results. I think this is the roadmap to better results.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your experiences. It is great to hear that this particular treatment has worked for you. Obviously, it might not work for everyone and might be subject to variation depending on the patient's condition and what the dr thinks.

Regarding your point about Covid and Peyronies Disease, this is interesting but remember that correlation does not equal causation. Just because your Peyronies Disease developed after vaccination does not mean that the vaccine had anything to do with it and there is nothing indicating that it would not have developed had you not had the vaccine. Please be careful when making such claims on the forum.

The purpose of this forum is for us to share information relating to this disease. I can absolutely agree that not all Peyronie's is not caused by Covid. However science is catching on that covid has the potential to cause peyronies and ED.

You are absolutely right, the forum is a place where we can share information related to the disease and associated symptoms. The important thing is how you present that information.

You have shared links to two studies and a general information page containing information on potential links between Covid-19 and Erectile Dysfunction and Peyronies Disease (which is great btw, thank you for doing that). Some of the suggested links in the academic articles are interesting, I must say that. However, these do not 'show a link' between Covid-19 and these symptoms, they suggest that there may be a link. In other words, science is not 'catching on', scientists are just looking into potential links (as they do with all kinds of symptoms related to Covid and long-Covid) and so far the evidence is scant.

To break it down:

The first article is a case study of one single patient who has been diagnosed with Peyronies Disease and Erectile Dysfunction after recovering from a Covid-19 infection. The conclusion of the case study is that "Peyronie's disease should be considered as a possible sequela of COVID‐19 infection due to widespread endothelial dysfunction". This is not evidence, it is a suggestion based on one patient's condition and experience. More research is needed to validate this claim.

The second study involved two control groups, first one consisting of 27 individuals and the second one of 9. Out of these 36 individuals, one has been diagnosed with Peyronies Disease. That is less than 3% and the group is too small to even do any statistical calculations or estimations. Again, the authors are suggesting that there may be a link, not that there definitely is one.

Do also note that the authors of these two papers are more or less the same individuals, which begs the question of how widespread this interest is.

The info page is also helpful, but concludes "The medical community is at the very early stages of understanding what long term complications COVID-19 can cause as currently medical resources are geared towards prevention, vaccination and saving lives. In the future it will become much clearer what long-term complications will occur in people that previously had good health and are now suffering Erectile Dysfunction and Peyronies Disease.". Again, this is simply saying 'there may or not be a link, we simply do not know right now because we have not looked into it thoroughly'.

What I am trying to say is that just because this is published in an academic journal does not mean that what they are suggesting is a strong correlation and that Covid-19 infection OR vaccine = a statistically greater onset of Peyronies Disease and Erectile Dysfunction across the globe.

In other words, please feel free to share evidence, studies or suggestions but consider how you package and present that information.

Mine 100% got worse when I got my first round of covid. It might have been a coincidence who knows, all I know is that the ED and bend got much worse during the period I was sick and it never got better after that.
30 years. Sudden rightwards curve detected in June 2020
Narrowing on right side and about a 20° curve to the right.
ED + instability due to narrowing.

Bak

In my case I also developed the peyronie's right after the first shot (about two weeks after) and it got considerably worse after the second shot. The coincidence was so high that I started wondering if there was a causation effect. Of course I cannot claim it, but I suspect there might be one.

I followed a similar protocol of yours @Oconee but had no improvement so far: started Xiaflex immediately, before calcification of the plaque and RestoreX immediately as well.

After 1 year of treatment (10 total Xiaflex injections) I have had zero improvement.

I am glad to hear it worked for you though!
39 yo. Peyronie's disease, first diagnosed around May 2021. Initial curvature around 55-60 degrees. Tried Xiaflex injections (10 in total) + RestoreX for over a year. Curvature has not changed. I got a new pump/indentation from using RestoreX

Lostandsad

After getting covid, I ended up getting new scarring on different areas of the penis, right under my glans and other parts in the glans. I can't even use the penimaster cause it has to grip that part right under the glans, and the scarring is getting worse everyday. Made my urination worse too, the post void dribble is horrible. There's definitely a connection because covid causes inflammation. I wasn't masturbating or excessively touching it at the time either. Very depressing
MIA - nothing works after 5 months
supplements and pharmaceuticals I've tried:
cialis, pentox, magnesium chloride, dim, turmeric, hyaluronic acid, vitamin k2, paba, l-arginine, l-citrulline. either get surgery (and possible ed), get implant, or pray
