Hello everyone. Made an account about a month ago but have decided to possibly be a bit more active now. Because of that, I figured I should make a post on the introductions board. As per the format:

Age? - 29 years old

What did your medical doctor conclude? - I have not been to a medical doctor regarding my condition. Tried to schedule an appointment with Mayo Clinic, but they were only willing to see me if I saw an outside urologist first.

How long have you had symptoms? - Unsure, have had ED issues for a long time because of antidepressant medications. First noticed Peyronie's symptoms in March of 2022 due to a change in medications seeming to correct my ED issues.

What are your symptoms? - about 15 degree upward curvature and an indentation on the right side about halfway down

What treatments have you tried and what were the results? - Have been taking Vitamin E: 180mg for 5 months with little noticeable difference. Starting mid-August 2022 have begun using a Restorex device and now also taking daily:
- CO Q10: 200mg
- Acetyl L-Carnitine: 2 grams
- L-arginine: 2 grams

Do you have insurance or means to get medical treatment? - I do, but my insurance policy has a list of obscure things that it will not cover. On this list is "Reproductive Services for the Following: Impotence, Organic or Otherwise" (I have attached an image from my policy to this post). This makes me concerned about whether or not they would cover Peyronie's disease. That said, I do not believe I am at a stage where Peyronies Disease would cause me to be unable to have sex entirely.

Where are you in dealing with the psychological aspects of Peyronies Disease? - Trying to keep a light attitude about it. It's definitely caused me significant distress in the past few months, but I am trying not to dwell on the problem and instead focus on solutions. I was already taking antidepressant medication, so maybe that has helped some?

Are you in a relationship? - Not currently. Went through a bad breakup about a year ago and since noticing Peyronie's symptoms in March, I've been very hesitant to pursue a new relationship.

I'm glad to be here, and grateful this place exists. Knowing there's a community like this definitely helps me to feel like I am not alone in this struggle, and that there is hope!

Welcome Tsigsauce to the forum.  Thank you for filling out your signature line as you will get a better response to your posts.

Your insurance restrictions are similar to a lot of them in regards to reproductive related services. I am sure that peyronies would be covered if you had a formal diagnosis from a urologist. It sounds though that your case is a mild one, but I would still try to get into a peyronies Dr if it is possible.

The supplements you are taking wont harm you and the traction has been proven to help a lot of us too.  Read up about it on the forum. You might also look into VED therapy as this also is another tool to use in helping things out. You might also look into getting on Cialis or somehting similar as erections are helpful in keeping things stretched out and fresh blood supply. Along with preventing inflammation.  Antidepressants are famous for causing erection difficulties. Search the forum as I think their are some alternatives that don't cause as much ED.

Keep your perspective on things and don't get fixated and start worrying about this. You must remember that this disease affects everyone a little differently and you must keep a mindset that the treatments towards this take time. It is a marathon and not a race. I have been doing traction now for 1 1/2 years and my peyronies has almost stopped completely.  In the beginning though things were different. Keep searching and reading the forum and you will gain more knowledge about this terrible disease. It  is good to have you here!  :)  Mikell7
