My best advice for chronic pain
« on: August 06, 2022, 10:09:19 AM »

I too suffer from chronic flaccid pain, the worst of the worst thing that can happen to your penis.
I looked into many things, diet, sleep, pelvic floor strenghtening and releasing, positive afformation, many supplements, tried Pregabalin....
Could never find a true connection if any of it improves or makes pain worse.

Now the only thing i can safely say is that the pain is much better or gone when i had few errections at night, and worse when i had many errections.
Maybe its the same for you. So my best advice to limit errections at night would be (bs please consider, probably what we have is no Peyronies Disease.):
-Sleep in a cold environment. Buy a fan for the summer, or use no blanket at all
- Dont drink any fluid 1h before bet
- no porns / hot thoughts before sleeping
- masturbate 1-2 times per week (find your optimal number) with a hard errection only

Other than that i could not find anything to make it better when it really hurts. Walking can sometimes help.
When i am having no pain at all that day i can smoke, eat junk, clench butt as i want, it does not provoke the pain, only errection does.

Your thoughts?

I also have chronic flaccid pain.  I am thinking of trying Cialis 2.5 or 5mg per day, have you tried this?

I can personally say that when I was in constant chronic pain hard or flaccid I would always use a heating pad on low off and on and also warm showers.  I unfortunately could not use any meds for pain because of my ears.  I also believe that Cialis can be very beneficial in several ways, inflammation reduction and fresh oxygenated blood. Preserving penile size and length too. I had a hard time differentiating discomfort from actual pain.

Tobyg hot baths also work for me too.

Hi orris... as you already know we both have very similar conditions through reading each others posts. My thoughts....

Honestly my pain has been getting the better of me these last couple of weeks. Fed up really is an understatement. I've recently changed doctors. My new doctor is a phsyco sex therapist too. I didn't know this before my appointment. She was really nice and seemed to care. Anyway after listening to me she said she has no doubt I've had a traumatic experience and yes there is scarring, but.... believes my pain is more associated with my anxiety and depression. (I've been told this before and been quite annoyed by this verdict/ prognosis. It's physical I can literally see the huge bloody scar and it hurts!) But maybe there is some truth behind this?

Years ago I injured my shoulder.  After 6 months I had an mri. I was told I had osteoarthritis in the ac joint. I felt pain all the time. After this penis injury I barely feel my shoulder at all. So yeah maybe my head is working against me. I think about my pain too much!..... I'm guilty of worrying about what if's I know.

I have had a penis fracture confirmed by the urologist with a scan. I do have an hourglass shape when it's cold that never used to be. I can clearly see the scarring when it was never there before. I suffered a fracture then a year later a priapism. I can physically see the scarring plain as day. Which confirms in my head (problem) it confirms the pain in my head.

When I hurt my shoulder my right scapula was a lot lower than my left. This confirmed my pain.

My right scapula is still a lot lower than my left but I no longer feel pain.

Is my penis scarred but I'm imagining the pain? It's very possible. Some days I'm really struggling just to function. What if this is all in my head?

Does anyone else even consider this with themselves? It's hard to even acknowledge that you could possibly be wrong and your head is the real problem. Do any of you suffer with anxiety? Do you have an obsessive personality? I'm afraid I do.
I wish I knew what to do about it. No matter what I do the pain is still there. I know one thing I really don't want to go back on antidepressants.

Penile fracture 2018 - Not a lot of problems
A year later priapism due to prescription drugs. The priapism exacerbated the original fracture site/scar. Now I've got a constant dull pain when flaccid

Hey do you think differentiating discomfort from pain is important? I think it is the same

Hello James, yes i remember our chat.

Okay the sex therapist... yeah but i have a feeling it is often they tell you its in your head if they have no idea.
Have you tried Lyrica though?

And why would you not go back on antidepressants, and which did you try? i consider giving cymbalta a try
