HeadsUp

I saw a 2nd urologist today, he recommended RestoreX... so I ordered one today (hopefully it arrives soon).  I don't know the first thing about using it, but I thought I saw some tips in a thread that I can't find now.  Does anyone know the thread I'm thinking of, or can give any tips to a new user?  Thanks!

Top two pinned posts are a good start.

Get the make up pads, game changer.
The device comes with a manual with a treatment regimen. Follow that unless your Dr has other suggestions.

Thanks for the reply memnoch.

Admin - could you please move this to the correct forum?  I put this in the ED forum by mistake.  Thanks!

Hi,

I found this video helpful when I started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v42XPREz6U

My main advice other than that is to go slowly, do not rush. Trust and listen to your body. If it hurts, stop it and revisit later and/or consult your Dr. If the glans turns blue/purple while the device is clamping down that is fairly normal and according to Dr Trost the penis can take this for quite a long period of time without a problem.

Keep scanning the forum for other peoples' experiences and photos of how they are using the device. There is a lot of advice available through the search function.

Hope that helps!

Another vote for the makeup pads! Made life a lot easier for me...less slipping, which is a major source of pain.

Use the "Instructions for Use" booklet that you get with it...lots of information in that.

And there's a youtube video that I found very helpful when I had everything at hand, as it were:

And, as they say, this process is a marathon, not a sprint. I started out thinking 12 weeks, no problem, good initial motivation. After reading here I see that keeping going until the point of diminishing returns gives the best results. Not such bad news once you've woven this into your life, and see what low impact that 30 minutes twice a day has. Especially compared to doing something about a problem that has such major emotional and physical effects on one's life.
