I am from Taiwan. I would like to try iontophoresis treatment with verapamil, but there isn't a doctor in Taiwan can help me. Does anyone know where I can try this treatment? (In what country, which hospital, and how can I contact the doctors?) Peyronie's disease makes me feel down every day... If you have any information, please tell me. It would be helpful...

I know Mr Yap at London Andrology uses both these treatments in combination. Not sure how convenient London is for you in terms of distance but easiest is just to fill out a form on their website and discuss options and costs.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the information. :)  I'll try to contact Mr. Yap first and see what's my next step. Every chance is a hope for me. But as you mentioned, London is quite far away from my home country, so if there are more options to consider, that would be great.

Is there anyone who has done this treatment before and can offer some information and advice? If you knows there are other doctors (apart from Mr Yap) offering this treatment, please post it here. Hope that there are more doctors to consult.

Thank you so much for the information. I am still looking for the most suitable treatment for myself. Will contact them as well though the effect seems frustrating.

Yes the quote I got was $3000 for 6 treatments as well. This is as much as the cost for the 6 sessions of Verapamil injections I got, which is why I opted out of the iontophoresis, it was simply too expensive for me to do both.

Cripes, all it is is a direct current,  such as you get from a USB lead. For electrodes you could use aluminium foil and moistened tissue paper , attached by crocodile clips or buy electrodes. That was described in a writeup online by a doctor claiming complete success in one patient using hydrocortisone.  The drugs most often used,  e.g. dexamethsdone , hydrocortisone, are cheap.

A current regulator from China costs about 15$, skin conductivity increases over time so it can keep current constant.

Maybe you can even do it better than the professionals, by using glycerin , unlike aqueous gels, it doesn't generate acidic ions because of the current that cause skin irritation, there is a paper on this online.

Also who's to say how many sessions are optimal, we wouldn't pay $1000s to have only 6 VED sessions , for example.
Age 57, Onset 2010, 2" shortening, shrinking and angulation of glans, weaker erections, 30 degree bend. Mild pain few months, but far from worst symptom. Tried many ideas, not just from here, but not consistently. Moderate improvement, maybe 40%

It is NOT RECOMMENDED by any of the moderators or admins on this forum to try anything like this or even experiment on yourself. I don't like the high cost of medical treatments by iontophoresis is a very controlled electrical current. And different voltages, ointments, or attachment methods can all drastically change the amount of current applied.

I haven't seen any evidence where iontophoresis does anything to help Peyronies. So if you are concerned about the cost, then just don't do it.
