RestoreX Question - Extension Rods In Way

I'm guessing this is a dumb question or I'm missing something, but I just don't understand one thing.  I believe the instructions say that when you get to the counter bending part that you should release the tension rods and collapse the extension rods all the way down so the RestoreX is in it's most compact state.  Then press the 2 buttons on the device to do the counter bending...  Then once bent on level 1, 2, 3 or 4 you release the extension rods and then release the tension rods so the white lines disappear just like with the straight traction, right?  The part I don't get is the longer extension rods stick out the top when the unit is collapsed, which it says to do.  So if you do the counter bending when it's in it's most collapsed position, your penis will hit the rods when you start the bend motion.  Which would hurt a lot.  So, in the scenario where the longer rods are being used, should it be extended out enough so the extension rods are hidden again?  It indicates that you should bend while the unit is collapsed first then extend the unit.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

You compress the unit so it is in the shortest state (at bottom of rods and rods locked from extending). If it is too low (head too far above the unit, first congrats to you) then move the unit up the rods until your penis head lays in the clamping area. Clamp your penis head in. Move the unit up the rods so your penis is just about to stretch. Bend to the desired position. Extend until your penis is tight. Then unlock so the springs can do their job. Adjust if needed to keep the white line just buried.

I found that I needed the longer rods for straight stretching, but where my bend is, I needed to be down the rod too low to be able to counter bend, the rods got in the way. So I got a new base so both sets of rods are installed. I use the long for straight stretch and short for counter bend. I think it was $25 (USD) shipped iirc.

I think they need a redesign or include bases with both rod lengths.

Actually I noticed on your profile that you have been using it just under a year.  Any luck?

It will be 1 year in August. I have not been paying attention to the bend, trying to not think about it. My plan is to measure in August and see if there was any progress. My guess is no change, it doesn't look any less bent.

That's too bad.  Also, I think it's really supposed to have a change at about 12 weeks.  According to the manual, I believe once you get to week 13 and you're doing it just 1 time a week, that's for maintenance.  Not for improvement at that point.  Did you do it religiously exactly like the manual said?  3 times a day for the first week and then twice a day for 30 minutes for weeks 2-12?

Yes, I even kept a log for the 13 weeks. Then I moved to 1x a day until now.

Oh you're going full force.  I think it's just supposed to be once a week starting at week 13.  Good luck!

Bmarc,
Respectfully
Ohyou appear greatly confused or just haven't read up on RestoreX treatment regimens.
June 2021- observed curve
September - increased curve
October - confirmed Peyronies, refered onwards to Peyronies specialist Urologist - November
Meanwhile immediately commenced traction with RestoreX after initial  visit and confirmation

It's possible...  This is the chart I was referring to.  (Attached) What am I missing?  I do see that you CAN do daily after 12 weeks...  But saying I'm "greatly confused" probably isn't the way to go, when I'm just going off the standard guidelines.  Either way, good luck to us all. :) Thanks

That's the chart I followed. After the initial protocol I switched to weekday morning 30 minutes. It's the only time I get alone in this household, before everyone else is up for the day.
