3.5 months post-op update

Unfortunately, I have to report some not so great news. I started to notice an upward curve recently combined with maybe 0.5 inch loss of length. I am not sure if I am measuring accurately since I do not know if I am completely erect, but yea, I am worried. The curve is only evident when I am flexing my penis and its erect. If my penis is erect and I do not flex it, it appears fairly straight still.

Guessing what happened was that the dorsal sutures caused some retraction in the dorsal side.

I started traction a few weeks ago when I started to notice it. It was recommended I start traction 6 weeks post op, so I regret not starting it then instead of 10 weeks post op. Using penimaster pro for 3 hours a day everyday. I am probably going to start using it for longer because I am getting pretty worried. I'm considering using it when I sleep, but seems a bit dangerous.

Haven't had much sex with my girlfriend because I have been busy and stressed out with work, but last time we had sex it was fine. If this is permanent and I have this upward curve now and loss of length now, I think I will be okay as it is much easier to have sex with an upward curve than a lateral and downward curve as I had before.

Definitely going to bring this up at my post-op appointment with Dr. Levine.

Also, can anyone who has done traction pre or post surgery please comment on if you found it helpful? Can you wear it to sleep? I am doing about 500g force (I think).

Anyways, I am feeling down, but I am hoping with traction I can get back to how I was immediately post op.

"If my penis is erect and I do not flex it, it appears fairly straight still."

What do you mean by this? Why would you have to flex it if it is already straight?

In my case I haven't used traction since my instructions were "do nothing" (apart from cleaning the cutting line and abstain from sex in the first 6 weeks).

Late 20's. Congenital ventral curve 60º (in capacity to have sex with some impediments).

Plication in May 2022 by Dr. Torremadé (Lue procedure).

Now almost straight (about 10º ventral curve). Recovering. Here to help others.

Hey I forgot to ask - what about the loss of sensation in the glans? Did anyone experience this?
I have an "odd" situation where my left side is sensitive, but my right side is numb (this is after 31 days). I can literally scratch the right side and not feel a thing, while the left is still good
Does the loss of sensation go away..?

Hello Ruff and Vic,

Please could you tell me if surgery has affected girth? I know many guys (understandably) are worried about length but I like the girth on my penis. And would like to know if surgery will make penis a little thinner?

Will appreciate any of your experience or thoughts.

Thank you.

Hi Mr. Man.

The surgery had no negative impact on girth. I don't believe plication surgery generally results in a thinner penis.

Five Month Update:

Hey guys. Quick five month update.

So far so good. Sex is a million times times better than before. My girlfriend is happy. And I feel my life has literally changed for the better.

I honestly am still in disbelief that this is real life. I was living with anxiety and depression for so many years because of this, and now I feel that its all gone. I feel like a new person.

I just want everyone to know that with the right doctor, there is hope. Dr. Levine changed my life.

Also, I have a slight upward curve now. Nothing substantial. Doesn't bother me or my partner. Nothing like the 60 degrees down and left I had before.

Im happy to post pics at some point in the future if anybody wants to see before/ after.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Stay strong.

Thanks for the update, I feel the same about Dr. Levine. He also changed my life for the better. I have my annual followup with him in a few weeks.

Do you do your follow up in person or over telehealth? I am supposed to have my follow up soon but plan to do it online

Ruff, your post #27 on July 21, 2022, 10:23:01 AM is pure joy! It's just the very thing so many of us in this forum hope to hear and eventually experience.  Despite the concern you expressed following this post, additional posts reveal all is about as right as it can possibly be (e.g., "...sex is a million times better...").  This is so awesome for you and encouraging to forum members. So pleased for you and appreciative for your (intimate) sharing.
