HeadsUp

Hi... I'm glad I found a place with some actual real-life accounts of this condition.  I'm 62, just noticed the upward bend around January/February (it seemed to oame on quite fast).  It started with just the tip bending up, and now it's kind of banana-shaped (pointing up), the bend starting around mid-shaft.  I would say I lost about 1.5" in length but its difficult to tell.

Due to insurance issues I wasn't able to see a urologist until today.  He  could feel the plaque immediately (while flaccid).  His plan: he put me on 400 mg PTX 3x a day, plus 400 IU vitamin E 2x a day.  He wants to see me in two months, and do a further evaluation then.

It's pretty much impossible to maintain an erection, and while not excruciating, it is somewhat painful.

Even at my age this is very depressing.  I guess I'm here to read other accounts, and to understand what's my "best-case" scenario..

Hey Headsup! Welcome aboard!

Unfortunately Peyronies sometimes comes on fast and doesn't seem to give people a break. Please have a look at this link: https://malefertilityandpeyroniesclinic.com/peyronies/treatments/ It shows the most up to date info and the best protocol on how to deal with Peyronies.

You should also start traction immediately. The quicker you start addressing this in a proactive manner, the better. Please have a look here: https://www.restorex.com/

Many members are using it with great success. I have one too.

By the way, how are you managing your ED? Have you tried Cialis....? Viagra....? What else?

Hi Pfract - thanks for the welcome!  And thanks for the links.

Before seeing the urologist today, I had looked online and found some traction devices.  I mentioned this during my visit today, he said we would evaluate that after two months on Pentox.  We're related by marriage and he helped my wife, so I feel kinda funny deviating from his instructions.  He said (and I quote), "let's see how the oral therapy works, you might not need anything else".  I'm trying to stay optimistic but I'm beginning to realize that's not a probable outcome.

My guess is, in two months he'll probably want to try injections with traction.  Do you think it's ok to wait that long?

I have used sildenafil, in small doses.  I can get an erection and orgasm, so I guess it could be worse.

Thanks again for the warm welcome and advice  :)

Peyronies doesn't directly cause erection issues. If you are feeling pain this is more likely Peyronies in the "active phase". You start to get erect, you feel the onset of pain, you are reminded of your situation and mentally this cause your erection to weaken. Pentox traditionally is used to combat the pain during this phase. Your doctor may be wanting to wait until the Peyronies stabilizes before he does anything. I would still consider light traction in the meantime.

LWillisJr - thanks for your reply and advice.  (BTW I read your history, I'm glad you had such a positive end result!).

I know we're not supposed to get into specifics too deeply in this thread, I should maybe ask this on a regular forum.  But both of you mentioned starting traction ASAP... are there specifics I need to know (how to use it, how long per day, etc)?  I do want to address this as proactively as possible.

Thanks again for the reply!

Thanks Frank!  I agree... there's a lot of information here.

I have a couple questions (one regarding traction, the other regarding Viagra)... I'll ask them in the appropriate forum.
