APRIL UPDATE – first month of traction

Average daily wear time: 2.8 h
Traction: Low (first to second marking)
Deviation at the start of the month: 45° dorsal, 13° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 44° dorsal, 10° lateral

Slight variations in the measurements. No improvement, but also no worsening in curvature.
I think I'm starting to get the swelling under control.

Hey takit! I enjoyed seeing the graph you put out. Gives a nice perspective on how things are doing for you. I am on a different device but I'm taking cialis 5mg too.

How are you taking these measurements? Photos and protractor on the photo software?

takit

Hey, thanks for your reply. I'm taking the measurements with a triangle ruler on my smartphone screen – I never thougt about using a software protractor 😅

I'm interested in your progress man.

I've been using restorex and thinking of purchasing a PMP to add in.

Hoping to see your results!

Thanks for your reply. Since I have not yet been able to achieve any results so far, I can't really recommend the PMP. But if you have the money and the time, you can give it a try – maybe it works better for you.

Hi takit!

I have bought a new device too. The time recommended by most traction advisers is nearly six hours. In your case I have seen that it is about 2.5 hours a day. I understand it is difficult to find more time in our daily life. My device adviser recommended me from 3.5 hours a day to about six hours of daily use so that it can work well. Of course the RestoreX is different because apparently it uses a different technology. I am trying to use my new device about five hours a day.

Of course I am not trying to give you any piece of advise. You are a far more experimented man than me about this. I only wanted to tell you that perhaps the device needs more time to be used daily to get better results.

I wish you have a nice improvement as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Joe

Hi again takit!

Besides what I have commented you before, you should leave al least 14 weeks to see or notice results. In one month it is difficult to see improvement. So please forgive me for being sincere with you.

(This is only to encourage you, please don't be offended)

Best wishes,

Has anyone used Restorex, got length gains, stopped, and lost those gains?

I am considering buying it, but in the FAQ on the Restorex website one question is: "Are the gains permanent, or do I need to continue treatment after the 12 weeks?"

The response: "For lengthening, it is likely that 1-2, 30-minute treatments per week are necessary to maintain results."

I am sold on it increasing length, I just don't want to wear it forever to maintain gains.

Hey Joe, thank you very much for your message. I'm trying to increase the wear time but at the moment 4 h is my limit. After that it is starting to hurt a few hours after application until the next morning. I am very unsure. My doctor does not think much of the treatment and thinks it could also make it worse.

I'm planning to wear the PMP for half a year and then decide how to proceed further.

JUNE UPDATE – third month of traction

Average daily wear time: 3.8 h

Deviation at the start of the month: 41° dorsal, 8° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 45° dorsal, 11° lateral

Usual variations in the measurements. No improvement.
I increased the wear time by about one hour. Swelling is under control and my glans is getting a bit better. I think one of the plaques has become slightly bigger and moved a bit in the direction of the glans.

JULY UPDATE – fourth month of traction

Average daily wear time: 3.9 h
Traction: Low (first to second marking)
Deviation at the start of the month: 45° dorsal, 11° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 45° dorsal, 6° lateral

Usual variations in the measurements. No real improvement.

I have noticed variations in lateral deviation depending on the position in which my penis becomes erect.

Hourglassing looks worse, but is not measurable.

I feel like my glans is no longer as enlarged as it used to be while erected.

Swelling is still okay I have noticed a pale, slightly numb spot at the base of my penis where the PMP presses against it. I'm trying to pad it with some foam now.

I managed to make an appointment with a specialist at the end of September. Unfortunately, the examination is not covered by my health insurance.

I'm thinking about stoping traction therapy. Maybe I'll wait till my appointment.

Since my penis has been hurting a bit for the last week or so, I'm taking a break today. How do you guys deal with pain?

In the past when I was experiencing pain I always used a heating pad on low throughout the day. I stopped traction and waited for things to lessen. Then when better started my treatment plan again.

Hey Mikel7, thank you for your reply. Since summer seems to be almost over, I'll give warmth a try. I have also introduced cheat days (once every ten days) without stretching, which are physically and mentally good for me.

AUGUST UPDATE – fifth month of traction

Average daily wear time: 3.5 h
Traction: Low (first to second marking)
Deviation at the start of the month: 45° dorsal, 6° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 45° dorsal, 4° lateral
Fairly consistent measurement results. No improvement.

Hourglassing got worse, I lost another 5 mm.

I lost about 5 mm in lenght.

I feel like the lateral curveature is going to switch sides.

The pale numb spot at the base of my penis got better. I padded the PM with a piece of foam.

The eaculation hurts a bit and it feels like I can't fully "empty" myself.

I have introduced cheat days (once every ten days) without stretching.

My appointment with the Peyronies Disease specialist was rescheduled for the end of December. This sucks :(

SEPTEMBER UPDATE – sixth month of traction

Average daily wear time: 3.6 h
Traction: Low (first to second marking)
Deviation at the start of the month: 45° dorsal, 4° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 45° dorsal, 4° lateral
Fairly consistent measurement results. No improvement.

Hourglassing got worse, the indentation got longer. I lost another mm or so.

Lenght is fairly constant.

Lateral curveature switched sides. Now I'm at about 4° to the left.

Erections hurt a bit more than I'm used to. Eaculating still feels strange.

Since I'm seeing no improvements for the last six months, I'm considering discontinuing traction.

#1 You are using PMP probably the highest quality traction device out there.

#2 You have been doing it consistently for 6 months, no improvement with curvature and dent worse.

It is undoubtedly time for you to quit traction as you seem to be a non-responder to the therapy.

OCTOBER UPDATE – seventh month of traction

Average daily wear time: 1.4 h (I stopped on October 15)
Traction: Low (first to second marking)
Deviation at the start of the month: 45° dorsal, 4° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 45° dorsal, 10° lateral

First it got a little better, but then in the last week it got worse again.

Hourglassing got a bit worse.

Regarding length I have lost another two millimeters or so.

Lateral curveature is now 10° to the left.

I think I got used to my slightly painful erections.

On the recommendation of my urologist I have reduced the dose of Tadalafil to 2,5 mg.

After stopping tracktion the bruising on my glans got better but the deformation seems here to stay.

@Mods where should I continue my diary?

I wonder if the worsening comes from dropping traction. I really don't like the guessing game ...

All I can say based on all traction studies and protocols I've read you are using too little force. You should use low tension when you are new to let your penis adjust but after the adjusting period you are supposed to gradually increase the traction by adding elongation bars or screwing the springs based on what device you have. If you keep wearing it with low tension I don't really think it will do anything.

You have a PMP so you should be at at least 900 grams of traction force everytime you wear your device.

If you have indeed been at 900 grams or over this entire time then ignore what I have written.

Thanks for your feedback. I was far below 900 g of tention. Anything over 500 g caused lasting pain for me :(

Oh, well that's no good.. I do not have much knowledge on traction myself in terms of what low force over a longer period of time will do.. Maybe a little stretch is better than no stretch? I really don't know but pain is for sure never a good sign..

I have had Peyronies for over 2 years myself without taking any action when it comes to mechanical trestments like pumps or traction. All I have tried are supplements.

However from next week I am going to start traction myself with a Penimaster device in hopes of it perhaps over the period of a year will straighten me out. I would give it all patience in the world if I know it will straighten me out but theres always that other side of the coin where every treatment is not for everyone, perhaps even myself will end up like you with pain and being incapable of using higher force..

I tried to use the PMP for a couple of months but had to stop as I started developing a leathery scar along the rim of my glans, where the edge of the suction cup would invariably end up as my penis would slowly slip out even though the initial fit was good. It is possible the shape of my glans (slightly pointed) isn't ideal for the PMP, but it didn't help my curvature in any way and I still have the scar 3 months after ending the traction. Now using SomaErect VED but not expecting it to have much effect, and scheduled for plication surgery some time in the coming year. Although one study suggests the PMP is quite effective it did not work for me, possibly because I only started using it over a year after developing Peyronie's, if used in the acute phase it might work better. I can't get the RestoreX as not in the US, but I suspect the results would be similar in my case. Given my results I remain sceptical of the claims of either traction systems, but perhaps I'm just not a responder to traction treatment - YMMV.
Diagnosed in 2019 initially ventral indentation, hourglassing w/ slight rightward curve

NOVEMBER UPDATE – first month without traction

Deviation at the start of the month: 45° dorsal, 10° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 41° dorsal, 11° lateral

Measurements are a bit better but it looks and feels worse.

Hourglassing got a bit worse.

I have lost another millimeter or so.

I've stopped using supplements.

Erections got more painful.

Without the Tadalafil erections are softer and harder to get/maintain. I think that my softer erections are the reason for the improvement in curvature.

Bruising on my glans got better. The discoloration on my shaft seems to stay.

I also used PMP for a few weeks but stopped because i think it caused further injury. Now i do medium-light VED twice a day. Will see how that goes.

Question on your graph- so it looks like the curvature got worse, until you stopped using it?

Thanks for your graph and info!

Not really. My curvature worsened before the treatment, during the treatment, it got worse during brakes and it worsened when I stopped the traction completely.

DECEMBER UPDATE – second month without traction

Deviation at the start of the month: 41° dorsal, 11° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 38° dorsal, 10° lateral

Measurements are better but it looks worse – especially because the hourglassing gives my penis something like an s-curve.

Since the beginning of the disease I have lost almost 1.5 cm in length.

Erections are still very soft and hard to maintain. I think that is the reason for the lower curvature. Maybe I should take some tadalafil and see how far the curvature really is.

-

I finally had my appointment with an expert. He was super friendly, but unfortunately only took a little time for me. He strongly advises against an operation due to my young age and the strength of my curvature. The risks are too high and the chance of developing a new curve due to scarring should not be underestimated. He recommends that I continue to wait.

If I want harder erections again, I can take tadalafil. But this will not change the course of the disease.
Supplements have no effect from his point of view.
He recommends massaging the plaques and stretching my penis by hand to loosen the tissue. I can also wear the PMP "it does no harm".

I don't know how to feel after the appointment. On one hand, I'm sad that he can't help me with my condition. On the other hand, I'm glad that I don't have to undergo an extremely complex surgery.

I wish you all the best for the new year.

I received my medical report in the mail.

- 45 degrees dorsal, 10 degrees lateral
- Hourglass deformity
- Mild erectile dysfunction
- Penile shortening
- Plaque formation about 2x1 cm.
- Penis without evidence of calcification.
Conclusion: Deviation is considered mild. At the current time we recommend to wait and see.

Well, for me it doesn't feel very mild  :(

JANUARY UPDATE - third month without traction

Deviation at the start of the month: 38° dorsal, 10° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 32° dorsal, 6° lateral

It's difficult to measure because my penis doesn't get really hard anymore.

I have the feeling my main plaque near the glans has become softer. But a small plaque occurred in the middle right of my penis.

The Hourglassing transitions into sort of a dent on the left side.

FEBRUARY UPDATE

Deviation at the start of the month: 32° dorsal, 6° lateral
Deviation at the end of the month: 35° dorsal, 6° lateral

It is difficult to measure because my penis now got more of a round curve than a sharp angle.

The plaque near the glans seems to be gone. What is left is some uneven tissue. The plaque in the middle right got a bit bigger and harder and another one on left occurred.

The hourglassing got worse.

0/10 experience would not recommend.

It looks like your dorsal curve is getting better based on the graph- have you seen any difference in length?

Looking at what dr trost wrote about restorex having 6x the traction of something like PMP, maybe you could try tweaking your pmp to apply slightly more tension? That is what I'm trying to do. I dont like the clamping system of restorex so just want to work with pmp.
