Does a penile implant increase length and girth? What are the risks of surgery?

Has anyone here been unsatisfied with their implant surgery?

Penile implant can increase girth but not length. In order to increase length doctors do a sliding procedure.

I am seeking information about the sliding technique.

If you read the journals of men with implants, you will find that most men including myself are happy with their implants. I chose an implant because my penis was not working, shrinking, and therefore was ruining my sex life.
My new Titan implant gave me a thicker and longer penis.
Although it gave me more girth than I originally had, because of a previous surgery, it did not give me my previous 8 inches, but I do have a little over 7" when fully pumped.
If you are looking to increase your length, check out this website for ways to do that without surgery.
If you need an implant, ALWAYS use a well known, high volume surgeon.

Thanks guys, well I'm using restoreX, VED and going to do everything I can in the next two years to try and cure this disease.

After that I will opt for an implant. I was wondering if the implant would restore lost size from peyronies but I am guessing it does not.

You must not have taken the time to read the journals.  The answers are in great detail written with great effort by those trying to help men like yourself.

The journals are easy to find if you go to the index at the top of this board.  No one should get an implant without reading at least a few of these journals.

The short answer is that it depends a LOT on your surgeon.

Hi jj21, if what is in your signature line is correct (20-25 degree curve with no plaque and mild ED), then I would think most if not all reputable Peyronies specialists would not consider you a candidate for an implant (unless your curvature somehow interferes with penetration).  My curvature and ED was much worse and my Dr (Levine) who I understand is one of the USA's top Peyronies Disease doctors, told me he would consider my implant surgery a success if it reduced my curvature to 20 degrees or less.  Fortunately I am within about 10 degrees of perfectly straight.  Bottom line, my suggestion would be to continue with traction, VED and medications (as needed for the ED).  If your Peyronies Disease gets worse and your curvature worsens, I would definitely consider an implant at that point.  Just my 2 cents, good luck.

JustAGuy - thanks a lot. That's good advice, I've been on the fence about it revently. I think waiting it out and seeing how current treatments go as you suggested is the best approach.

Hawk - I'll read the journals.

Thanks,
J
