Hi all,

To start I have always had curvature to the left, however the last 4 months I had been experiencing on and off ED and thought it was maybe a mental thing or another health issue, until about 5 days ago when I started feeling a dull aching pain at the bottom right side of my shaft then over the next few days it seemed to turn into a pain that runs across a vein from the bottom to the top of my penis and now has turned back to a dull aching pain on the left side of my penis, sometimes comes from the base and sometimes where I think the scar is forming.

I dont feel any nodules or lumps when flaccid but the ache only happens when flaccid, I get no pain with erections however they are far weaker than normal and also seems the my lifelong curve is curving more to the left. Im only 23 so am pretty stressed out about all of this however I have a urology appointment coming up and am trying to keep positive. just wanted some advice on what to do in this early stage to slow down curvature or is there anything you wish you did in the acute phase to maybe prevent more severe curvature.

Welcome Mikeysmithy22 to the forum.  The first thing you should do is to download and study our survival guide -->https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057 . This will give you a better understanding of peyronies and it's different treatments.   Also, fill in your signature line so all can understand your case without repeating the same basic questions and answers. -->https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,10819.0.html .

Pain is a sign that something is going on. It is interesting that you say you have no pain with erections though?  Was this related to sex or did it just happen all by itself? You might want to take some preliminary penis measurements to get a baseline going.  Remember that a peyronies specialist can be difficult to find but before your Dr appointment I would suggest studying the survival guide and writing down a list of questions to ask him/her.

You could start by studying up on traction and VED therapy.  They can prevent shrinking and loss of girth to your penis. Also if you notice that sexual activity is causing you pain then you should back off of things for a while to allow healing. Congenital curves are normal and you may not even have peyronies. This disease can be magnified in our minds to the point it consumes everything good in our lives.  You need to get control of your thoughts regarding this and have a clear perspective on things.

One thing you do have in your favor is that you are young and can heal a whole lot faster than us older guys. Please continue to search and study the forum. It contains a ton of useful information on what has been successful for a lot of us.  :)  Mikel7

Hi Mikel,

Thanks for the reply, I guess masturbation could have caused it but I don't remember any pain or damage being done so I'm not sure, I just woke up one day with the dull aching in my penis but the pain seems to move a lot, started on the base right side then moved to left and that ache can come and go, also getting pain from two prominent veins when flacid that I have never noticed before. Im unsure if I feel pain and because I already have a curve that my mind is making it worse and maybe I'm fine. My urologist has peyronies disease under his clinical interests so hopefully he will have some good insight. is it normal for peyronies to worsen a congenital curve or is it random?

thanks

Peyronies can definitely worsen anything but it is so unpredictable that you just don't know. Some individuals experience all kinds of random different deformities accompanied with and without pain. I guess it is good that your Dr has peyronies as he should be compassionate towards you. :)
