Hi all

Yesterday i notice a very tough ligament type clump in the right side of my shaft. It seems to be on the outer side of the corpora cavernosa just beneath the skin.

Thing is this definitely was not there 2 days ago. It almost came on overnight. I don't recall injuring it, but maybe i was yanking it for too long.

My penis still functions normally as far as i can tell and there's no curve, but it causes a dull ache if you mess about with it in that area.

Is it really possible Peyronies come on this quickly, or could it be something else?

I'm 37 yo

I'm abroad at the minute so it will be difficult to get to a doctor any time soon, but I guess i'll get on the CoQ10 and other supplements ASAP.

Thanks for reading and any advice would be greatly appreciated, CC

Doesn't really sound like classic Peyronies Disease, but perhaps a thrombosed vein or something?

If it's Peyronie's you would eventually see some bending or indentation when erect. In absence of that, I would not worry too much that it's Peyronies Disease, but you are always smart to go see a urologist to get it sorted out.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

Yes it would surprise me, but it's definitely in the the bit that fills with blood and it feels like the gristle on a steak. I can't think of what else it could be.

Not noticeable curve at the minute so I'm not panicking just yet, but it's concerning.

Welcome to the forum.  The concern is prudent, panic is not, so you are on target.  Don't worry about erections.  They are generally good but give it a rest from masturbation.  It could prevent long-term problems. Consider an NSAID like Ibuprophen.  After things settle down maybe some moderate heat.

Yes i masturbated earlier (sorry if that's TMI) not to the point of ejaculation to make sure it was still working. And it is, but it ached afterwards. So i'll give it a week off.

Off to buy some L-arg, CoQ10 and Cialis now.

This is a forum to help men and couples.  It is difficult to give "too much information".

So it's been 5 days since this appeared and i've been reading a lot of the forum and thinking about things and unfortunately this does look to be the beginning of Peyronies.

I didn't mention in the OP but my penis has always curved to the right and up slightly for as long as i can remember. Looking back, i had actually wondered recently if i may have had mild Peyronies when i was young that caused this, but it's not something that's ever particularly bothered me and it reduced over the years so i was perfectly content, also my penis is large so women have generally been impressed.

However, i would sometimes habitually and without thinking press it to the left when in a semi-erect state whilst masturbating. This never felt painful in any way and i never thought it would damage myself in at all, but i believe i may have done this the other night and that's what's caused this. Obviously that habit seems immensely dumb now, but too late.

The lump is rib like around the outer right CC, so it's only a couple of mm thick along the length of the penis. So far it's hard for me to tell if there has been any increase in the aforementioned pre-existing curvature. There's no ache now, but i do feel an imbalanced force when 100% erect, so it seems there is that potential for the situation to deteriorate.

This is a real mental blow for me. Unfortunately i suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder, so wasting hours worrying and obsessing over my body whilst my life drains away has been a reoccurring feature. I was actually feeling great about myself recently, the best i'd felt in about 15 years and i was excited for the future for the first time in a long time. But this looks like potentially a brand new source of obsession. How i'd love to go back 1 week.

Never the less the positive thing is that i have identified this very early. I live in a South American country where prescriptions aren't a thing thus have already been able to source Cialis, L-Arginine and Pentox, and i have CoQ10 coming.

Diet wise i'll get back on the paleo diet which i'd been off for a few weeks due to being to busy. I also do Calorie restriction and alternate day fasting.

I am considering traction. Is it too early to start? Can it actually be negative at any stage or if you do it too early, because i think i could benefit from traction regardless of if this progresses or not. So why not just start now? I work from home, so could wear a PMP for 8 hours a day.

Let me know any thoughts.

I'd also like to add that this forum is a great resource, thanks for creating it and good luck to everyone in their battle.

Hello, thought i'd give you a quick update.

Utterly relieved to report that the plaque or whatever it was has dramatically reduced in size and hardness. It's still there but it's softer and far smaller now and has no discernible affect on the shape of my penis. As i said i always had a slight curve to the right and i can't really tell if anything's changed as i had never measured it before, but whatever i am totally content as it stands right now.

So who knows if it was Peyronies, perhaps it was just a natural swelling from an injury that is now naturally healing, and maybe Peyronies is when that healing doesn't occur properly.

I might as well tell you what i did anyway...

First i tried Cialis, but man it wrecked my lower back so i gave up on that. I also used Pentox which i felt was good and was softening things, but my supply ran out a few weeks ago, and it's since then most of the progress has occurred.

What i did do is prolonged fasting. As i mentioned i've done alternate day fasting for several years already. Well i turned this from alternate day to 4:3 fasting. So 4 consecutive days of eating, 3 consecutive days of fasting. I also totally eliminated sugary drinks from my diet, and sugar in general. I did this by creating a very pleasant home made ice tea drink that used stevia instead of sugar. Both of these things dramatically reduced any inflammation. Before that i was getting a tingling in the plaque area, not pain but a definite sense of inflammation, upon eating food, presumably insulin or blood sugar related. Anyway i'm not getting that at all now, and i might stick to this 4:3 diet no sugar diet as i've found it quite easy and does seem to offer some good health benefits.

I also did some light traction stretching, not very much, maybe 10 minutes a day.

So i can't tell you if i had fully blown Peyronies or pre-Peyronies or not or if anything i did made a difference, but hopefully this information might be of use to someone.

Good luck to everyone.
