Erection Quality

Suffered ED since injury. Can get erection now with cialis or viagra (viagra is better) but find the glans doesn't fully harden unless I consciously tense pelvic muscle.

Has anyone else experienced this or overcome this?

Some doctors prescribe Muse in the urethra to help with that. It is normally used in conjunction with an implant, but i think you may be able to combine it with cialis or viagra on demand? but you would have to make sure with your doctor first.

In the U.S. MUSE is very expensive.  I think about $100 per dose.

If it engorges when you tense you're pelvic muscles, maybe it is just a matter of needing an increased dose.  What dose are you taking?

I've tried cialis 5mg per day to mixed results. Does good EQ some days and bad others mean it could be also psychological?

Have tried 20mg cialis also but didn't see much improvement.

Just switched to Viagra last week. Definitely had better EQ than Cialis. Used a 50mg dose. Would like to stick with viagra,my uro told me I can take it daily but it's just a bit more expensive that way

O tried all three and preferred Levitra, Viagra, Cialis in that order.  Cialis was like a mule kicked me in the back.  Viagra absorption is blocked and slowed by fats and proteins so a meal interferes with it.  Other than that it was good.  I would suggest 100mg to see if it fixes the glans egorgement.  If not just cut it in half.  It is not designed to be cut but a pharmacist told me since it was not time release it was fine.

Also, how hard should the glans be when erect? I can't remember pre-injury and the internet is giving me different answers

I use the 5 mg daily each night before bed and 100mg viagra 30m before sex - pretty much allowed me to have sex again.

the 5mg I take daily before bed regardless of whether I use viagra for sex or not.

Levitra is as need similar to Viagra w/o blue vision or other vision issues and unrestricted by food intake.  Like other medications, it has restrictions so talk to your doctor.  It is contraindicated if you have impaired liver or kidney function, etc.

It seems strange you would ask me to describe in words how hard the glans should be when you have a penis that functioned most of your life.  Surely you know if your glans is engorged or not.

Ya, strange question I guess. When I tense I think it's about 95% hard but it's been over a year since injury so it's a combination of not fully remembering 100% now and the psychological paranoia and doubts that a penis injury causes. Makes you doubt everything you once knew

Have you had intercourse?  

It is either fully functional, or it isn't.  If it is, stop obsessing.  
You are taking half of the full dose of Viagra.  The next dosage up is 100mg.  You could take 1 1/2 pills or 2 pills to see if things improve.  That is how you tell if your dose is correct.  You don't take the amount that sounds good to you.  You take what works.  Even if 50 mg turns out to be optimal, It would be cheaper to cut 100mg pills unless cost is not an issue.

If there is change (to the glans or shaft), you need to honestly evaluate whether it is a meaningful change or just a psychological boost to you.

your profile says - Cialis stopped working - Would you say 50mg Viagra is working, at least to a significant extent?
EXACTLY, what was the nature of your injury?  Why were you wearing a cockring?  What kind of ring?
