New here, can anyone help me understand my symptoms or what I can expect?

Hello, I am a 25 year old man and I'm fairly certain I have peyronie's but I'm not 100% sure. I've been dealing with sexual dysfunction for a couple years but it's relatively minor so I only just started worrying about it recently. Around 5 months ago I really started to notice the curve in my penis, but I'm pretty sure I've had it for at least a year.

The curve is very minor, not enough to interfere with sexual activity, and it is honestly worst when semi-flaccid, pretty noticeable when fully flaccid, and least noticeable when erect. There is no pain at all. But I can feel a semi-hard lump on my left corpus cavernosa. If I stretch my penis and massage/squeeze the lump it will go away to nearly nothing and my curve will significantly diminish, but it will come back after 30-90 minutes usually. I also have minor erectile dysfunction, I can get hard but lose my erection without constant stimulation, and my glans especially has difficulty staying erect.

I think that the cause of this was a time when I accidentally fell asleep with a cock ring on, or from masterbating too much. I once fell asleep with an elastic hair tie around my penis and woke up with a bloated, purple, and completely numb penis. It went back to normal after a few minutes when I woke up and removed the band, but I worry that I damaged my erectile tissue. This was about 2 years ago, I'm not sure if my symptoms started before or after. I also tend to masturbate every day for 1-2 hours, but I use plenty of lube so idk if that could be the cause or not. I may have had ED from a tight pelvic floor/hips, and masterbating with a penis that is not 100% erect could be the cause.

I'm wondering what I can expect, and if there's any way I can cure myself. I'm only 25 and I've never been in love or had a long time GF, I worry that I will die alone because of this. From what I've read there is no cure for peyronies. It sounds like injecting medicine to erode the plaque does more harm than good, and I'm even worried to get injected with medicine to produce an erection for an ultrasound/MRI because that can apparently make peyronie's worse. It sounds like traction therapy could be my best bet, I've noticed temporary but significant improvement just from stretching and massaging my penis by hand so I hope I can cure my ED at least with traction therapy. The curve is minor and there is no pain so getting rid of my ED is all that matters to me.

I've already seen one urologist and he told me "if you have a curve that's peyronie's but it usually gets better on its own" and sent me away. I'm going to see another urologist and hopefully he will help me.

I'm terrified for my future and borderline suicidal over this, I'm worried that I have no future. I feel like no one is helping me, my family keeps telling me to see what the doctors say, but the urologist and primary care doctor that I've seen have not helped me at all and I worry that my condition will only get worse. I'm feeling really hopeless and could use some encouragement, but I don't want people to lie to me or sugar coat anything.

Some more info that I forgot to mention: my curve is to my left, and occurs right before my shaft transitions to the glans, about 5/6ths of the way down to my glans. The lump is on the right side of my left corpus cavernosa, between the cavernosa and my urethra. My skin looks cramped and creased on the outside from being compressed by the curve. The curve is worst when my penis gets soft after sexual activity, and barely noticeable when fully erect. I only get morning wood if I take a day off from masturbation, and it is usually semi flaccid, my glans especially is usually fully flaccid. I have never experienced any pain. If I stretch my penis and pinch the lump, I can basically "squish" it into non-existence and my curve almost completely dissapears for at least 30 mins. Idk if any of this info helps.

My symptoms were almost identical to yours when I first got this terrible disease!!! I can tell you - mine only got worse over time!

However, I did manage to improve it with the recommended therapies.

I would first say to go and get a script for cialis (tadalafil) daily tablets (5mg) a day - take one before night every day. That should help with NTE, wood and your erectile dysfunction - it should also help with healing.

I would then start slow VED and light traction - consistency is key here!

Sounds like your condition isn't too bad.... If I could go back to the start when my condition was similar to yours i'm almost certain I could have cured it by now! Unfortunately I waited way too long and let it get worse and worse over time.

Take action now and be light and gentle with everything!

Some people get worse, some stay the same, and some get better.  You can't truly predict much when it comes to medical conditions.  The best you can do is prevention.  Google hand traction, and look at the Restorex or other traction devices.  Begin doing these to keep things from getting worse.  But if you are not impeded at all during sex... you are lucky.

I wouldn't say that I'm not impeded at all during sex. The curve isn't enough to prevent penetration and there is no pain, but I have difficulty maintaining an erection. I'm not sure if that's due to the Peyronie's plaque, damaged erectile tissue from the incident with the cock ring, or my tight pelvic floor and hips. It could be all of these things. But what I do know is that I need a cure if I'm going to have any kind of future.

So I've spent more or less the entire day reading this forum and researching Peyronie's treatments and I'm honestly feeling pretty hopeless and suicidal. It seems like there is little to nothing that I can do to fix the problem and I just have to hope it doesn't get worse over time. Surgery can make things worse and is almost guaranteed to shrink my penis and make my ED worse. Injections seem like they are a scam. I might get back a tiny amount of my lost length with traction therapy but it won't fix my ED. My curvature is very minor, and while I have lost some length my penis is still around 6" hard, maybe a bit less when my glans isn't cooperating (which is most of the time). But my ED is something that I can't live with. Worst of all it seems like that could get worse over time as I get older. It seems like most people dealing with Peyronie's are older and have kids and/or a wife. But I'm only 25 and I'm worried I'll never have a family because I have ED at such a young age. A big part of me feels like my best option is suicide. Maybe some new cure will be invented in the future but by then I will be an old man, I can't wait until my 50s to have a normal sex life. I just feel so hopeless and depressed, I feel like I have no future.

Hey man, I'm sorry for your pain and understand the anxiety about this.

But you need to understand that for every guy that posts on this forum, there are thousands out there living perfectly happy lives with Peyronies Disease and you will never hear from them, because they don't come here.

I've dealt with Peyronies Disease since I was 30 (20 years ago), and I can tell you, I've had the best sex of my life in the years since. I occasionally have some new Peyronies Disease activity, but it's mild and hasn't been the worst case scenario we ALWAYS envision in our minds. Some indentations, a little curvature - nothing catastrophic. And for what it's worth, I've had a softer-than-normal glans now for 20 years. Hasn't slowed me down one bit. As long as the shaft behind it is firm, she won't even notice.

So, try to bear in mind that the odds are you will simply be a guy living with mild Peyronies Disease, and having a perfectly fine sexual life and children and the whole nine yards.

Don't let worst case thinking set you down a dark path. Make decisions based on what's actually happening, not what MIGHT happen.

Stay strong. We're all in this thing together.
