Hello, I'm a 25 year old man and I'm currently dealing with sexual dysfunction in the form of mild Erectile Dysfunction, a penis that bends to the left, occasional hourglass shape when transitioning from flaccid to erect, and weak orgasm. I've seen a urologist twice and he was completely unhelpful, I am seeing a different one in a few weeks but I'm skeptical that he will be of any help. I am not sure if I have Peyronie's or if something else is going on, but I'm fairly sure that I do and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure it out. Most importantly, I need to know what Peyronies Disease plaque feels like. Is it very hard or just firm?

First of all, my penis tends to curve to the left. It is most severe when flaccid right after engaging in sexual activity, but it is almost always noticeable. It is not severe, not painful, and does not interfere with my ability to engage in sexual activity. But it is noticeable when erect, and even worse when flaccid. I can feel that the left side of my penis feels lumpy and rough where it bends to the left. It doesn't feel very hard, more rubbery and rough. If I squeeze/massage the rough area where it bends, or stretch my flaccid penis, it seems to reduce the curve significantly, but only temporarily. I also have an hourglass shape sometimes when transitioning from flaccid to erect, but it is not in the same spot as where it bends, it it doesn't occur every time. I cannot feel any lumps where the hourglass shape occurs, and it doesn't happen all the time.

I could probably live with this if it was my only symptom. But I have mild Erectile Dysfunction, my penis seems to have lost size, and my orgasms are usually weak and pleasureless. My glans has a hard time fully inflating unless I put pressure on my pelvic floor by sitting in a way that puts pressure on it. I also lose my erections quickly and easily if I'm not receiving constant stimulation. My penis has gone from almost 7 inches to just under 6. Most of the time when I orgasm I don't feel very much pleasure, and my semen just dribbles out rather than shooting out.

I really need to figure out what is going on, but my doctors are of no help. If I had to guess it is multiple things at once. Possible causes include: I know that I have a tight pelvic floor and tight hips, I masturbate a lot, usually every day for an hour or two (but I use lube and/or fleshlights so I don't think that it should have damaged my penis), I had a catheter used on me when I was very young (though that was when I was about 12 and my symptoms didn't start until my 20s), and I used sex toys bought from Amazon which may have been toxic around when my symptoms started (they were labelled as body safe but I recently learned that Amazon doesn't stop sellers from lying about these things).

If I had to guess, something weakened my erections, whether it be my tight pelvic floor/hips, or toxic sex toys from Amazon, and since I masturbate a lot, masturbating with weak erections damaged my penis and gave me Peyronies Disease. But it's also possible that I don't have Peyronies Disease, my symptoms seem to match something called hard flaccid. Really need some help since my doctors aren't helping me, and I can't just ignore this.

Welcome to the forum Choda.

I have no medical training but feeling irregularities in the area of the bend and loss of size sound like Peyronies Disease.  However, the weak ejaculation, loss of intensity of orgasm sound like pelvic floor issues.

General urologists who treat women's bladder issues and kidney stones are very unlikely to do you much good.

Whatever the issue or combination of issues it is not from a decade-old catheter or from the toxins in sex toys.

Be sure to read this then we will chat some more. -->https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.0.html

Hey hawk, thank you for your reply. I think I have more info that might help. I discovered a bump inside my penis near where the bend is, it feels sort of hard but if I stretch my penis and massage the bump it seems to go away temporarily and reduce the bend in my penis. The bend is also less severe when erect than it is when flaccid.

I also think I may have remembered what caused my sexual dysfunction. A few years ago I was experimenting with using an elastic hair tie as a cockring. I forgot that I had it on and fell asleep after masterbating. When I woke up my penis was bloated, purple, and completely numb. I immediately removed the elastic and my penis went back to normal in a few minutes. The numbness went away, there was no pain, and I was able to get an erection so I assumed everything was fine. But now I worry that I may have done permanent damage with this incident. Do you know if the lack of pain means that I didn't damage my erectile tissue? Or is it still possible that the tissue was damaged even though I didn't feel any pain?

Obsessing over the cause does little to help.  What you did is foolishly risky and potentially damaging but depending on the length of time and other factors may have done no damage  Unless your issues start very soon after I doubt that it was the cause. masturbating without a firm erection has more chance of being the cause.  Masturbating 2 hours a day is not normal.  That all by itself could be the cause.  Address your porn addiction.

Then, focus on treating this.

You're right I should probably cut down on masturbation and porn. That being said I don't masturbate 2 hours every day, it's usually 45mins-1hr every day, but sometimes more or less. And I usually use a fleshlight with plenty of lube so I doubt it's the cause. I honestly can't remember whether my symptoms started right after the incident where I forgot to take the cock ring off before I fell asleep or not, it happened 2-3 years ago and I kind of blocked the event out of my memory until recently. I definitely noticed some minor shrinkage before it happened, but the bend to the left may have developed right after, I'm not honestly sure. I feel like the bend to the left started much more recently but I may just not have noticed it until recently.

Could you tell me, is Peyronie's plaque rock hard? because the lump that is where my penis bends is firm but if I stretch my penis and massage it, it more or less goes away for at least a few minutes, and I get a nice feeling in the left side of my penis like when you stretch out a tight muscle. I wonder if it's possible that it isn't plaque but a lymphocele or something else? I am going to see a different urologist and try to convince him to let me get an MRI done on my penis to see if there is damage to my tissue. Is there anything else I can do?

Plaque typically feels like scar tissue, thick, stiffer, but pliable tissue.  Over time it can calcify and become harder.

I have the same problem. Does anyone know if this is a symptom of peyronies?

Peyronies generally refers to a curve when you are erect.
