This has been one of the main issues with my condition. What looks like an inflamed vein or cord has been causing me pain for a while, it's only gotten worse  and has stopped me from using VED.

I'm really down at the moment as I was seeing great results from VED but this new issue (or possibly something that was always there but has gotten worse) has set me back years.

Hi jj21,

Did you ever figure out what this is?  I have almost the exact same thing going on but I have yet to see a urologist.  It started like 6-8 months ago, just some discomfort in that area when my jeans would rub against it, but I didn't notice the bulging element until a couple of months ago.  It's obviously uncomfortable to move around but feels kind of just like what you said, an inflamed vein or chord. Mine doesn't run vertically back up the shaft, but starts in the same place and kind of circles to the middle of the underside of my shaft.  Anyways, sorry for the novel, this is just time I've seen a picture that mimics my issue.  Every other google search seems to involve in inflamed dorsal vein which doesn't seem to be the issue.  Thanks!

They were eventually diagnosed as varicose veins of the penis and scrotum.

27 y. o. Peyronies since 2020: S curvature with the top part tilting to the left - 15*. Multiple nodules and scarring on each side, mild hourglassing. Getting worse every few months, losing width. Normal penile function. Enlarged veins.

jj21,

Oh man, does that mean we have to watch out for varicose veins of the penis and scrotum?  Is this due to the Peyronies?  Just saying I'm looking very veiny and bumpy.  Any treatment?

Frank

Hey guys,

I am not sure if this occurred due to peyronies, I just know that these varicose veins showed up around the same time, could be unrelated.

I saw the best urologist and vascular surgeons where I am and they recommended to leave them as is (despite the fact that the one in my scrotum can be slightly painful at times). They advised that, if things get worse, they will try a keyhole surgery and operate from close to the kidney to block off part of that vein. They advised against it currently, as, if it's only causing discomfort, the surgery is not worth the risk.

Hope this helps.

J

Yikes man, not looking forward to this upcoming doctor's appointment.  Sucks to know there's not much they can do about it.  Have the veins stabilized in pain for you or have they gotten worse?  I'm not sure how much longer it will be before I go crazy, it's already something I have to think about every time I move.

Softtip - Yes, they have stabilised in pain. You should be okay, at least knowing what you have helps reduce some anxiety, and you're aware of your future options. My main concern was how the veins would affect an implant, turns out they shouldn't make much difference. Keep us updated.

They told me the exact same thing. It was very disheartening, especially when you feel that this all effects your deformity/condition.

Some doctors even implied that I was suffering from body dysmorphia by worrying about veins on a penis.

I'm sorry you had the same experience it's tough hearing that. Yeah that's what they suggested for me which sucks. I know it's not in my head because I am more concerned with no more pain not that I have veins there
