Bleeding from stitches

After not being able to deflate Wednesday night, i took myself to my local hospital yesterday and was quite 'aggressively' deflated there. Once deflated he noticed he had drawn blood from the stitches. He didn't seem concerned and wiped me down with a bit of tissue paper.

Today, whilst feeling around the pump i have aggravated the wound and drawn blood. I have again wiped it with kitchen roll and stuck a bit under between the open wound and my boxers.

Should i be concerned? Primarily about infection, especially due to my Diabetes. I will obviously halt any baths until it has healed but should i look to having it re-stitched? Its not gushing out and it doesn't hurt.

Hey Jimmy! I would definitely exercise caution here. I agree with not taking baths.. Is there any that you can reach out to your doctor to see what he has to say?

Hi Jimmu - that one I would call the doc who performed surgery about better safe than sorry or maybe you can message him through the MyChart app or something Like it it's worth a shot. This isn't to alarm you or anything but it's just better safe than sorry and your kind will be at ease when he tells you it's no big deal or gives you a plan

My dad used to be a surgeon and when my brother and I would fight he would say unless there is blood coming out I don't wanna hear about it(just because we would fight so often when we were young my brother and I)

But considering blood is the point he would want to be bothered. I would say to call the docs after hours number of you can't reach the doc

 Did your surgeon put that waterproof glue on your stitches jimmi? Mine came off this week in the bath with all the stitches and dried blood attached to it. If i were you i'd contact the surgeon and just ask if bleeding is normal after a few weeks, mine is still sore but you can't see any type of scab or anything.
