So i was cleared by my Dr yesterday to start gentle cycling. I am based 500 miles from him so we were going to have a zoom call this week to go through what to do but he is very busy and can't see me ( virtually ) until next week.

i am/was 50-60% pumped and am desperate to be deflated!

Anyway, i ran myself a hot bath last night. Had a feel around, found the deflate button and attempted to deflate. It was a struggle but i got down to about 25% I'd say although it felt like a smaller erection, i still couldn't really manoeuvre the penis in any direction other than upwards. i woke up this morning and i seem to be similar to where i was pre deflation.

i am not planning on cycling until the weekend, when i will be almost 3 weeks post op but i am desperate to have a relatively normal flaccid again. The pain is am getting from my clothes putting pressure on my dorsal curvature is not nice!

Can anyone point in the right direction and tell me what i'm doing wrong?!

Thankyou.

Please read other posts of people that have gotten implants, you will learn a lot. Do it!
My doc had me pumping every day. It was painful, but I would have a beer and listen to NPR to take my mind off of it. Deflating was dreadful, as the pump is stiff and it's where the incision is. I soaked in a tub during the entire event. I would pump for 2.0 minutes and longer if the pain was not bad.
Like everyone says, this is not a sprint it is a marathon.
Please read our journals and you will

They helped me.
Oh yeah, the pain can be rough. You will have to experiment on what works best. Sometimes very tight underwear worked, always soft, polyesters seemed to work sometimes. Each of us is different.

Good luck

Hi Stepone,

I have read all the journals, many multiple times, including yours and I am yet to see one which documents ones penis re~inflating overnight. Especially on the very first attempt.

When I went to bed last night, i was clearly reduced in size and rigidness, the dull ache and pain I had been experiencing for the last two weeks had almost disappeared. I was then awoken at 4am with severe pain and uncomfortableness and was back to where I was, if not a little more, before I deflated less than 6 hours prior.

Jimmi85, are you also squeezing your penis while pushing the deflate button? That's the instructions for deflating  I got for my Titan. I'll press the deflate button for 5-10 seconds while squeezing for about 15 seconds to make sure I'm completely deflated.

Yes I am.

I tried again tonight and I went down to roughly 20% but within 0 minutes I was inflated agin, probably around 80-90%. I am in agony right now and don't know what to do.

My surgeon is 500 miles away and is too busy to see me and as far as I can tell I am doing what I am supposed to do.

Hey Jimmy. Sorry you are having these difficulties!

I found this video online from a known uro, maybe it will be of help? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1t3YuJ_zz4

Also, i remember read about a trick that you do after you deflate the implant which would be to give it a slight pump after you fully deflate, to engage the mechanism and prevent auto inflation if you had that difficulty? I can't remember exactly where i saw it but i am trying to find it.

Please also try to read through the most popular diaries till you get a response. I am rooting for you Jimmy!

Jimmi85

Hey Pfract

thank you for your words on encouragement.

i have spoken to my surgeon and we are going to have a zoom call later. if i still can't use it properly he has spoken to a colleague who us much closer to me who has agreed to help. Ironically he is surgeon number 1 who i wasn't keen on but i don't have much choice.

i think its my glands which are hurting most. This is also strange as i don't think the cylinders go into them as i appear to have floppy glands right now.

He thinks the pump squeeze is for older models and i should not have back flow - unless the valve is half open. i have no idea as i've not been taught yet.

Right now, i could happily chop it off if it meant the pain went away.

Hopefully you'll get answers from your zoom call that will help ease your pain.

If you can't feel the tips of the cylinders in the glans that would be disturbing and will definitely cause a droopy head. That was my case on my first implant, though I did not have the pain there that you are having.

Hi  Tshug

I have spoken to him about an hour ago and also have made an appointment with another specialist who is much more local to me on Monday. They both work under the same hospital albeit 450 miles apart. This is to teach me how to use it and to make sure I am infection free and all is how it should be .

The tips do not go into the glands. Although not ideal I don't think it will cause an issue. Taking away the pain, I could easily have sex right now and that is without my glands being engorged. Maybe with cycling I can push them up a little bit . I did question whether 18cm was large enough given my size pre Peyronies and pre op but I guess only time will tell. Presently I can wiggle
My glands in all directions

I've had some morphine today so feel comfortable now and will attempt another deflation this evening.

Jimmi85

So i have deflated! Ish.

I am definitely not fully empty, I am no longer in pain and the penis is much more manuverable although I could probably have sex with it still.

I appreciate at only 17 days post op it's not going to hang at 6 o clock although 4 or 5 o clock would be nice.

It's been an hour and hasn't re-inflated so I won't be cycling this weekend and will wait until I have my appointment on Monday.

Thank you for everyone's help.

Hey Jimmi

Sorry to hear you're having problems and pain. Ive just caught up. Worrying that you keep filling back up again and I wonder what is causing that.

In terms of the pain, glad to hear that you've just had some morphine. How did you get your hands on that? 🤣 Tramadol was my drug of choice at your stage but I would have taken morphine if I had access to it!!

What's the name of the surgeon you have an appointment with?

You've mentioned before that your glans engorged prior to this surgery so you should hopefully be fine moving forward even if the cylinders don't go all the way into your glans like they should.

Keep us up to date.

Hey Roddy

My stepmom had a histerectomy last year and was given it but never used it so I gladly took it off her hands, last night and today were not pleasant at all but it looked pretty good all pumped up!

It's Roland Rees, I saw him initially and he wanted to do a Nesbit. I found him quite stand off ish but he can't do me any harm and I just want reassurance that all is good and hopefully he can help/figure out if or why I'm not fully deflated.

I feel quite happy with my progress overall, i thought with my diabetes that my recovery would be harder and I understand the recovery isn't always linear. I am however now getting a little impatient as I don't want to go behind three weeks before I start cycling for fear of limiting any size gain.

Quick update - it's re inflated over night.

I have gotten used to it now so aside from the 90 degree tent pole sticking out of my crotch I can live with it for a few days until I see the specialist on Monday.

I am taking time positives in the sense that technically I have started cycling with little to no effort on my part?!

To prevent auto-inflate, after you have pressed the button very hard and squeezed the fluid from the cylinders......is to squeeze the bulb to lock the cylinder from refilling. The bulb should be hard to press. It will not want to be squeezed, but if you give it a hard squeeze this should prevent the cylinders from refilling.
It is a tricky thing to explain, and it's hard to do when your scrotum is still sensitive from the surgery. Give it a try.
Hope I didn't confuse you.

Hi Stepone,

Its not the auto filling that's the issue now, it's the poisoning of the release valve, it's at a weird angle. Read my journal for today's update and it will make more sense.
