Hi there,

Has anyone experienced some form of a decreasing mental capacity (mental acuity if you wish) as a result of long-term anxiety because of illness?

I have noticed that my long-term health issues have affected my sleep but also altered my personality to some extend plus made me care less about things I really cared before. For example, I used to read a lot but now I don't enjoy it as much as I used to, plus it's incredibly hard to focus on anything unless I have two cups of coffee. Now it's harder to speak foreign languages, harder to focus on my studies, harder to focus on any tasks at work; my memory is much worse now meaning that it takes more effort to retain information. You know what I'm talking about? Not sure whether anxiety is the cause of all this (because I don't feel anxious that much, just burned out) and at some point I thought it might be because of my chronic issues (also, I did an MRI scan of my brain, and it's completely fine).

Of course, I had a few visits with psychologists but they weren't very helpful, to be honest. Every time I tell them about my health issues they just look lost and have nothing to say.
27 y. o. Peyronies since 2020: S curvature with the top part tilting to the left - 15*. Multiple nodules and scarring on each side, mild hourglassing. Getting worse every few months, losing width. Normal penile function. Enlarged veins.

Bud luck

The disease is affecting me emotionally, psychologically and physically. In my case is affecting me because my condition was due to Trimix injections, being lied about the side effects and being called a liar by the owner of the "clinic" for posting a review about what happened to me after having a painful erection due to Trimix, my deformity could be prevented if they told me to take Sudafed if my erection was painful, anyways, the penis deformity is changing my life
My first symptoms started early in 2019
I tried Traction device, Pentofixiline, Q10, TRT, L-Argenine, cialis
I have narrowing/dent/hinge on the left side of my shaft
My ED is getting worse
Had a PRP shot Aug 2021
I have a girlfriend
Age 46

Dude I completely understand that. I don't like doing much besides working and playing video games any more. And even that gets old I feel tired all of the time like I haven't got rest even though what I'm doing isn't that tiresome.

I used to love playing the guitar and singing I don't really like to as much anymore. I believe over all I have changed for the worst. But I will still try to make the best of it. The worst part is my confidence

i have been in the same boat, dealing with this crap for a year now. but my penis has been responding well to traction and i can see the end in sight. i think its about blocking negative emotions or thought related to it and reminding yourself that this will pass, in one way or another.

keep strong and focus on the treatment rather than the disease, and don't give up things you enjoy! also open up with people around you about it when you feel down and dont hold things in.

it will get better!

Bro. It's called depression

Bro. Not necessarily, it can be burnout or something else. I know when I have depression and it is not the case.

I feel the same my interests have just changed in general. I like to build things and play video the most with my free time. While those aren't bad previous I had always loved playing music and skateboarding,  exercising, socializing.

Now it's not that I'm too depressed to do those things I just don't really want to do them I would rather work on 3D print models or play video games than go out
