In 2018 (at age of 58) I went to the Tampere University Hospital for two transurethral resections of the prostate that both failed badly. The first one was done in August.  The operation was supposed to be carried out following the German Alloussi's ejaculation-preserving technique (https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/pdf/10.1089/end.2013.0093), but the operation was carried out incorrectly against the instructions, and urination stopped completely. Pain was unbearable when trying to urinate.

The second resection happened in November 2018.  It helped with urination but completely destroyed orgasm (about 2-3% left) and significantly weakened sensation. Also, it destroyed ejaculation. In addition, the resections caused a widely-spread Peyronie's disease that destroyed whatever was left after the resections (eliminated the rest of sensation and caused big curvature). Both surgeries were done by dr. Ala-Lipasti.  I wasn't informed of either complication beforehand. Both operations were made by big 27Ch (Ø9mm) bi-polar resectoscope in a way, which obviously damaged penis tissues.

In the autumn of 2019, I had an ENMG test which discovered that the pudendal nerve had been damaged and apparently other nerves also had damage since reacting to temperature changes had weakened.
Peyronies plaque is now U-shaped, more than 270° around penis, causing upwards curvature ~60...70° and left curvature ~30...40°. Hour glass shape is existing. Also backwards bending (hinge) happens quite easily.

I don´t have any other medications and I have not any other diseases. My life was good and healthy before those TURP operations. I never had any sexual problems.

The situation now is that sexual functions have been basically destroyed. And on top of that, my everyday life is suffering: after the operations, I haven't been able to sleep without taking sleeping medication (now for 3,5 years), focusing on anything is impossible, I am struggling at work, I have retained maybe one third of my previous work capacity. On top of all is the constant anxiety, desperation, bitterness... It was the biggest mistake of my life to agree to the operation.
2 failed TURP surgery destroyed ejaculation, orgasm and sensation.
They caused severe Peyronies and nerve damage.
Erection is still left.
Peyronies since 2019, age 62.

I am so sorry to hear about what you have been through. You say that you do have some sensation? Maybe in time this will improve. Sleep medications can have some side effects with brain fog and depression at times. I would say that you have to stop beating yourself up over this. Keep some hope that things are going to get better.  Have you actually seen a peyronies specialist or at least another urologist?  You may well be in the category for an implant. I am not sure as to what specialist are in your country though. Dr Reid in New York is considered the best for implants and he may be able to at least do a virtual office visit. Don't let anxiety and fear get a hold on you as they will destroy any hope you have for living a better life. Don't give up and things are not always permanent. Mikel7  :)

Thank you for your words!

So far I´ve gone through all possible treatments except surgery. Now I am looking qualified urologist all over the Europe, but it´s not easy to find one. When reading comments in this and other forums, it seems that every second operation has failed...?

I have to say I am really afraid of surgery because what happened at the TURP surgeries. Mentally it is very difficult to accept an implant, I haven´t had any sexual problems before and one day, after unqualified urologists mistakes, all is destroyed.

Welcome pete! you have several issues here to deal with. I add that it was so sad to read your story. I can only imagine what you must be going through.

I have no idea if you plan to go against your doctor legally, like in a lawsuit. That may be an option if you have the means for that. With all the symptoms and procedures you describe, the guidelines and medical advice recommend you have an implant. Especially if you have ED as well.
