Hey guys. I'm extremely worried right now. Im in my mid 20s and 6 years ago i had a severe injury to my penis. The urologist i saw back 6 years ago said i had no problems and conducted no real tests. But one urologist saw me and said i had peyronie's disease. The thing was i then quickly googled it back then and though i had because i had 1-2 symptoms of it like smaller flaccid penis and that hard flaccid feeling. I injured my penis by masturbating. Well he gave me vitamin E to take but after i saw him 2 months later on, he told me i didn't have peyronies. Then i went to a few other urologists who did actual tests on me, like nocturnal erection test, ultrasound etc and they confirmed i don't have peyronies.

The thing that has me worried right now was 2 weeks ago i masturbated. The entire 2 weeks, my penis has been very small flaccid. Okay, that;s not a big deal because my penis could be sore. However, the thing that got me very scared was a few days ago, i masturbated to try to get an erection and it was very hard because of how small my penis when flaccid was. My normal size is very small for flaccid. It's around 2' normally flaccid. When hard, it is 3.75-4 inches so i have a small penis.

But when i masturbated to get an erection, i noticed that my penis was very small when erect. It was no more than 2.25 inches.  The thing that scared me more was it had this curve like looked a lot like peyronie's disease. Imagine you are jerking your penis to get it erect and then noticed that this was as big as it would go. I got very freaked out. However, i then tried to masturbate more to try to make it longer like my normal size. I finally got it close to my normal size but this took a lot of work. It also felt like 2 different phases of a full erection.  Have anyone ever heard of this?  What i mean by this is you know how you masturbate and your penis is semi hard and your size you masturbated to right now is only say 30 percent erect? Well it felt 100 percent erect already when it was 2.25 inches. Then i had to do something else to pull it to the right in order to get it to my normal size. It wasn't like i was scared when i couldn't get it fully erect when it was 2.25 inches, but it feels like it was erect already at that state 100 percent and if i try to get it more longer, it couldn't that way.

I read peyronies disease has symptoms of shorter penis. Is what i'm describing right now peyronie's? I'm very worried right now because when i had that full erection, it was that short. I called it a full erection because that was a full erection even though i got it to near my normal size because you could tell that was already the longest it would go. It also has that bent where penis curves up which is why i think i have it.

At first i thought this happened because i took 50,000IU of Vitamin D given by my doctor because i have vitamin D deficiency and read it causes urinary tract infection last week but doctor told me that has 0 chance of affecting the penis and i read online that as well.

To anyone who has or had peyronie's disease or knows a lot about it, is this what i'm describing peyronie's? And can a urologist confirm if i have peyronies or not just by examining by penis or does he have to do those tests? I done plenty of those tests already back then 5-6 years ago when i had a previous serious injury when i thought i had peyronies but i didn't have it because i never had this condition.  The thing that scares me a lot is its been very small flaccid for 2 weeks and that it hurts on the bottom right of the penis even when i don't touch it.  My penis is not stretchable at all.  Its not just turtled, its turtled to the point where you see no gap in that area of the penis where you see two lines horizontally.  Does anyone here get the picture of what i'm saying here?

I know there is surgery for this but i read it would shorten the penis aka nesbit procedure which i would not do but there is also another procedure that works. And is there anyone here that actually took Vitamin E and had it cure peyronie's disease? I took it 5 years ago for 2 months but the doctor made a mistake that i had peyronies so taking it was useless.

I'm going to see my urologist soon but really wanted to know what you guys say about this. I never been this worried ever.  Someone else on a forum said there is no way that is peyronies because it takes time to develop and that most likely i have hard flaccid penis.  Also, it hurts on my penis right now especially in the right side of it.

Is there a chance i just have urinary tract infection?  When i had the penis injury 6 years ago, i was told i had this and took some pills.

I"m from new york city.  Please can someone give me some advice.

You will find helpful info here just be patient as the replies begin to be posted.  My advice is to not panic.  Anxiety can certainly wreak havoc on your usual erections.  I would wait until you see a urologist who is up on the latest for Peyronies for a conclusive diagnosis and not think the worst until then.  What you describe may be attributed to other things.  See a specialist or ask for referral to one right away.  You have your young age as an advantage too.  Young guys just heal so much better.  Meanwhile, I'd lay off masturbating, take antiinflammaory med such as ibuprofen, and see the doc to get a clear diagnosis.  Best to you.

I agree with restore on this.  You need to see a Sexual Function Specialist, NOT a general practice urologist, in order to sort all of this out.  In the meantime, I would try NOT to worry about it.  There are a LOT of things that can masquerade as Peyronie's Disease.  An ultrasound is probably the best test.  But that does NOT mean that you don't have a problem with something going on.  But you need to see a doc who can dig deeper in order to get you on the mend.  You also need to continue to keep track of your vitamin D.  You may well need more than the 50,000IU to get you up to a healthy level.  I, personally, have been taking 12,000IU per day for probably three years now in order to keep myself at an optimal level.  You need your blood level of vitamin D to be around 50ng/ml.  Very few people achieve that.  If anything, getting your vitamin D levels higher will help your penis problems.  Hopefully someone here will recommend a doc for you.  I wish you all the best, and try not to worry, there are people here who will help you further with this if you are patient.  If it is Peyronie's, its not going to get significantly worse in the time it takes to sort it out AND there are some pretty good non-invasive treatments these days so its no time to panic.  I wish you all the best!  - George

Thanks George, Anyone else?

But isn't it possible for urologist to determine peyronies by just examining it?  I was told this by someone and the urologist can tell if it is just by examining it.

quickguide90012

Hey guys. I wanted to know has there been anyone or have you read someone who said they went and saw a urologist and they just examined their penis and said they didn't have peyronies. Only to later find out they had peyronies by a test such as ultrasound? I was told by some people that if a urologist checks your penis and says its not peyronies, they are right usually 99 percent of the time. But there is still is that 1 percent chance.

Anyone know about someone and read anything where urologist examined their penis just by touch and looking and said no peyronies only to later find out they do?

anyone can help or give me some advice?

In Peyronie's disease, inflammation and scar tissue form along the shaft of the penis. No one is certain why this problem occurs, but it may be triggered by repeated mild trauma during sexual intercourse. You may feel the inflammation and scar tissue as a painful lump or area of unusual firmness. In many men, the scar tissue causes the penis to bend or shorten because it prevents the penis from expanding normally. Men with Peyronie's often have difficulty achieving a firm erection, but it is unclear whether this occurs first or is caused by the scar tissue.

Hey guys, this is what i mean by saying my erection is 100 percent when masturbating but its shortened.

I'll say it again.  Urologists are not highly trained in dealing with Peyronie's UNLESS they have taken an interest in the disease and made an effort to become knowledgeable about it.  Most urologists are highly trained to deal with the plumbing ... thats it.  The ONLY doctor who can provide an authoritative answer is a sexual medicine specialist, period.  I really don't believe that general uros are even 99% accurate with Peyronie's.  I WOULD believe perhaps 75% or even 80%.  But 99%?  No way.  - George

I am pretty sure i have it and i have all the symptoms of it such as hourglass effect, not full erection.  I read that many people lose length.

If i start treating it right now, does that mean i won't lose length and get more of those really bad side effects?

I really want to start as soon as possible.  I see people mention pentox, dmso, L-Carnitine, L-Arginine.  I heard vitamin E doesn't work so don't waste your time.

Is there a chance that i start now, that i won't lose length and those other problems or is it too late?  I know there is no cure but i'm very worried right now because my penis erect normal size before this is 3.75-4 inches only and already have a small penis.

Can someone tell me what is the best treatment right now?  I hear some people say l-carnitine takes years to work but pentox works but some people have side effects?

I would suggest taking a big breath, settling down in front of the computer with a nice hot cup of coffee and reading old posts here. There is a Beginners area that can get you up to speed fairly quickly. You can start by reading the "Highlights" of every board, which is located at the top of each area's page.

Good luck.

From some of the horror stories we hear around here from visits to a urologist, I would certainly say that George is right on the money.
