So... after getting the makeup pads yesterday, it was time to try the device again after a long wait. I could never get around to use it with the tape as it would come off and it was very hard to put. It also reached it's expiry date.

Like people said, the pads are super comfortable and easy to put on the device. They are spongy and help a lot with the grip. At 2 clicks the device slips, so i made it to 3 and it helped the device stay on for close to two minutes but then it slipped off. It started pulsating as if an erection was trying to form and it came off. I am going to try again with 3 clicks and if it still slips, then try to increase to 4.

First picture is self explanatory. The pads near the device.

Second picture is me trying one method to put the device on. You press the blue buttons on the side and move the device so it angles up. You then clamp the penis, make the device straight after it is clamped and then apply traction. I found this method difficult to use. (Maybe i'll give it another go)

Third picture is yet another method of putting it on. I inserted the device and dettached the clamp. Then i put the box of restorex underneath so i would have the device supported instead of hanging down on the penis. Then i proceeded to put on the clamp and connect the clamp to the device. Then i tried to apply traction. I found it easy to do it this way.

Fourth picture is showing the penis sideways as it was clamped. It was hard to make it straight, because as you clamp it wants to roll to the side as it is squashed. You have to move it more to the left of the device so that when you squash it it stays in the center. If that makes sense.

Basically i am just trying to get used to the device. Here are some pictures of the ordeal.

Pfract

Adding to the post above, here are more pictures.

First picture is the device and penis during traction.

Second and Third picture are the after results immediately after taking the device off. I made some red lines to show the ridge effect on the skin. There was also a bump on the dorsal side of the penis but it resolved soon after. I tried masturbating 10 minutes after and the line and bump was not visible.

My goal with this diary is to share my struggles and hopefully encourage more people to get the device and try it on. I firmly believe that the more people that buy it and try traction the better. We are in this together. I am unsure how periodically i will update this, but i will try to be consistent as the goal is also to motivate me to try to use it to regain the length i lost after the fracture.

Thank you for reading.

Hey,

Thanks for posting, I believe this is really helpful for other Restorex users.

Just to check - do you pull back the foreskin before using the device? I cannot really tell from the pictures but just wanted to emphasise that it is key in ensuring that the traction is affecting the tunica and is not restricted by the skin.

Pfract - firstly, thank you for making this diary - it's definitely motivated me to start restoreX. Unforuntatly i've just had hernia surgery so will be waiting a few weeks.

Few questions:

1. How are you sticking the makeup pads to the clamp - double sided tape?
2. Are you pulling the foreskin back?
3. This one is a bit difficult - which area do we clamp, just the head, or the area in the middle of the head and shaft?

I've seen you on this forum for years and i'm very happy you have started RestoreX. Most of the members here who healed themselves or at least got to a poinw here they were able to resume a good sex life had used Restorex.

I always found the device difficult to use, the clamp is very annoyig. When using the sponge method my penis kept slipping.

i'll be starting in a few weeks and will keep you updated with results!

Just to add - about a year ago my curvature, girth and ED drastically imprved from the 3 cylinder protocol! I would say I was about 60 percent healed after 3 months. Even my urinary incontinence improved and NTE and morning wood was amazing. Unfortunatly I overpumped and set myself back years But the point is that improvement is possible!!!

Wishing you the best and please keep us updated!

Hey man! Thank you for replying. I guess I will have too as I applied traction and you could tell that the skin was pulling more than the penis. Next Saturday I'll give it another go.

Hey JJ!

No need to put tape. They just slide right through and you use that loop that comes with them. They are super smooth and didn't fell off or moved.

Like I said above I will have to start doing that a bit. It is tricky as I have a normal foreskin.

You are supposed to clip right behind the glans where it ends and you have that slight groove? AFAIK you are not supposed to clamp the middle of the shaft.

Yeah... I resumed my sex life after almost 5 years, but the loss of length bothers me a lot. Girth is no issue she says. The make up pads are a game changer. Seriously. Super cheap too. Get yours asap! They look as if they were made for the device!!

Thank you for the encouragement. We are all in this together. More updates next weekend!

Hey,

Thanks for the informative post.

I have suspected Peyronies, never really understood it until recently, given i have been suffering with ED a bit. Then i found this forum and dicousvered its quite a thing for a lot of blokes.
I want to try a traction device to reduce the curse and hopefully gain some length, in particular the Restorex as it seems to have the best results on here.
Plus i cannot commit to 6plus hours with the PMP etc.

The difficulty i have is that I dont think we can purchase it in the UK?
I have purchased the VED Soma Correct pump to try in the meantime but Tube A is pretty narrow inside, so its hard to get my self in their properly.
It doesn't help that my banjo string is too tight, but i am gonna get that seen to by a Urologist in the coming months.

Does anyone know if they can be purchased in the UK or how its possible to get hold of one?
Thanks!

Hey Tony. Welcome aboard! I encourage you to do a post on the introduction board. But I am glad you joined. I also have ED and lost some length as you see.

You can get your hands on a restorex by using a parcel forwarding service. There are a couple online. Maybe you can have a look at that in the mean time.

You are on the right track with the vacuum device. There are plenty of posts here about how to use it and troubleshoot issues you may be having with the vacuum device. I will try to give you a few pointers as well.

Henry1953

Great post! Several of the issues you brought up rang true with my initial usage of Restorex as well. I'm ordering makeup pads immediately as the adhesive is just too slippery and irritating to my skin. Lots of pop-outs and occasional blistering. I still have mild ED even with Cialis and the curvature continues to veer about 25% to the left. I'm hoping this works out as I really want to avoid surgery. I'll share my results once I hit the 12 week period. Good luck to us all.

Pfract

Hey Henry! Thank you for that! Interesting that you mention a small blister. I had that irritation issue too, the times i tried the adhesive. Taking it out would hurt like a mf too and i had blisters on one occasion and freaked out. Luckily it resolves very rapidly. I really hope you do share your progress. The more, the merrier!

So... I did gave the device another go this weekend as i said. This time things were different. I was trying for 35+ min to clamp it down but for the life of me i was struggling. Either i couldn't place it right on the clamp so it would squish sideways too much, or i would be unable to retract the foresking and close the clamp at the same time. I finally got around to clamp it in a good position, just before the glans but the upper make up pad wasn't in the right place and it gave me a very minuscule blister that resolved quickly. The marks after removing the clamp looked nasty but also went away and i feel no ridges on my erect penis. Also masturbated and got oral sex on the same day with no problem.

Picture A:

1- Make up pads and clamp detached. It was nearly impossible to clamp this way. The penis retracts and every time you try to pull it it comes back, so you can't clamp it at all.

Picture B:
1-Here you see the blue base of the device hanging on the penis. This was the reason i tried putting the case of the device under it last time so it would support it and it wouldn't case pressure on the shaft making it even hard to position the penis.

2- The clamp detached from the device. Even in the correct spot it was hard or impossible to clamp because it retracts (penis) and also for the above reason.

3- One of the make up pads got dislodged. It is very easy for that to happen.

4- The penis "slightly squished" between the base and the clamp. Not comfortable at all.

Picture C:

1: The upward angle on the device to try to help clamp it down.

2: Penis curving upward which makes it very hard to stretch and clamp in the right place.

Picture D:

1: Again, one of the makeup pads moved. Very easy for that to happen. Just have to pay attention to that next time that i am going to use it.

2: Just showing the guys who may be on the fence about buying the device, how much the glans is going to crush because of the clamp.

Pfract

Me finally being able to apply traction comfortably. I was in the device for maybe 4-5 minutes. Didn't hurt like i was expecting too, which greatly surprised me. I made it to 4 clicks on the clamp. Almost had a panic attack going for that last click. It was very hard to clamp that much. damn!

Also a picture of the aftermath as soon as you remove the clamp from the penis.

I am glad that i did it. Here's hoping for more....

Mr man

Hello,
I'v used the restored device. It did help with length and girth, but no change to the curvature.
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

According to the RestoreX manual, "If you are uncircumcised completely retract the foreskin prior to using the clamp. Dry the glans of any moisture and use the self-adherent wrap to hold the foreskin back and provide comfort."

Foreskin retraction should not be a problem, unless you have phimosis. These changes should reduce slippage and allow you to use a lower clamping force.

@tsp as you can read on the posts, i tried doing that but it is very hard. Securing the device, clamp and penis whilst still retracting the forehead. Maybe with more practice it will be easier. I will try again next saturday.

FlatteningTheCurve

I understand that it is difficult, I found it hard too. What works for me is to pull the foreskin back and wrap the glans and the area just below it in gausse. That way, I can easily clamp down on it without having to do too many things at the same time.

I am not sure how much traction without pulling back will do for you in the long run so try to do it as much as you can.

In addition to being difficult without using a self adherent wrap, I am not sure it will work at all. In my experience, even if I succeed in clamping with the foreskin retracted without wrapping, the clamp always catches a bit of the foreskin and eventually pulls it over the glans. Two wraps of the wrap keeps the foreskin retracted.

You can also verify that the wrapping worked by checking if the foreskin is still retracted after you are done with the traction, and making necessary adjustments the next time. Also, do not wrap too tightly as that can cut blood flow to the glans.

I have an issue with foreskin as well - especially as it causes slippage. If anyone has found a solution which doesn't require using crazy amounts of gauze and wrapping - please help!

True.... i've once seen a picture that i wish i had saved about a guy that overstretched his penile skin so bad it was unreal, because of poorly applied traction.

Thank you for sharing this, but at the moment i am not using the wrap no more. Not only it expired, as i am now on the make up pads it is 200% better. Set and forget. The adhesive wrap was horrendous to put on.

Hey JJ. Have you checked the device manual on slippage tips? there are a few bits and bobs on there about it.  Are you clicking enough on the clamp? i can make it to 4 clicks and it doesn't slipp no more. 3 always slips once i start applying traction.

SO...  quick update! i managed to finally get a grip of how many clicks i need for the device not slip. I made it to four and seems like this time i really was able to clamp it good just below the glans. I also could retract the foreskin and keep it back whilst i was trying to press down on the device.

Ended up stretching 3 minutes, where i buried the white lines. It felt comfortable with no pain for about 95% of the time. Save for the initial discomfort. Also, it looked much better than last time when i took it out of the device.

More to come this weekend! Thank you for reading. I know it isn't much and that a lot of you guys can use the device daily, but this feels like a small victory for me given the panic attacks i used to have trying to clamp the glans down (fear of injury) and how many months i had the device tucked away in the shelf without touching it.

Makeup pads have been a lifesaver. The clamping with adhesive tape was so painful the first two weeks that I was about to stop using Restorex completely. I saw your posting re the pads and bought some immediately. They work like a charm! I've also found I have better traction using a small amount of adhesive tape with no accompanying irritation or blistering. Three weeks down, nine to go. I'll let you know how Restorex worked for me once I finish the full three months. Thanks again!

Pfract - hope you're well and finding progress!

Any update? Any advice on making the base of the restorex more comfotable? I have trauma induced Epididymitis and am paranoid about further worsening the condition from applying to much pressure to the scrotum.

Hey jj21!

To be honest I haven't used it again since last week. I pinched my skin trying to advance the device forward and took some time off to cool down. It was no biggie, Just hurt and the skin was red.

But I don't think using the restorex is going to hurt your Scrotum? Could you get in contact with a doctor about this?

jj21

Hey pfract - sorry to hear that man - I really think restoreX could help us both if we just stay consisten. Remember I was about 60% healed from VED after 3 months before I re-injured myself (my ED was just about cured at this point too).

Few questions if you don't mind:

1. Are you clamping solely the head of the penis or just below the head too for a better grip?
2. Are you using anything to make the base more comfortable?

My doc says as long as the device is used cautiously it won't effect scrotum but at this point too much pressure on mys crotum flares up my Epiditiymitus which inhibits me from progressing further with both traction and VED.

Hope you're well.

I've read your thread with interest. Please see my post today - I think we're on the same learning curve.

Mostly I'm struggling with the notion of clamping my glans that tight, without harming it.

I'd also like to see some accounts by people for whom this has actually worked.

@jj That i do agree with you. Part of my problem during the week is that i pull very long hours during the day at work... 10-14+ hours and it can be unpredictable, and also i am always on the go and sometimes people do come to my "workplace" so it is not advisable to have restorex with me. I have to be really discrete about it and it would be a disgrace if people found out.

1. Well... you have to clamp on the ridge just where the glans starts? I have to make it to 4 clicks so it doesn't slip. I remember first time i tried it out i almost had a panic attack because of "crushing the penis"... It is ok... but it took a lot of attemps to feel comfortable doing it.

2.I personally don't have a discomfort problem with the base. I did pinch my scrotum skin, just where the shaft ends but it was because i was advancing the device and did not pull the skin down on the sac so it bunched up a lot.... I saw somebody post online answering to you about using a sponge through the penis so it would help with comfort. Could you try that?

What exactly do you describe as "a flare"?

That sucks man - have you seen some improvement at least (generally)?

With the makeup pads it's very difficult to click tight on the clamp - you haven't had an issue with this?

When I was working full time man I just sacrificed 30m every mornign to do restoreX and also before bed. If you can find the time to do the same man it could really help. Hoping we can both finally get through this!

Hey JJ! Yes... I clamp it down to 4 clicks. At first it seemed impossible. But after a few seconds on 3 clicks I am able to clamp one more to 4 and it holds it down. Next time I try I have to push the scrotum skin and the shaft skin back. Hopefully next weekend I'll try again.

Nice to know you are on restorex man! Good luck and don't rush into it!

Just like to say thanks! I clamped the head and was able to get it down to 4 clicks (with 2 second intervals between clicks)... Proceeded to have a really good stretch after that!!!

Hope you get back to it soon man, I'm going to add phallosan forte and/or penimaster pro soon too. Eventually i'll recommence VED as soon as some of the pain subsides.

Feel free to msg me if you need any tips man, I think I finally got the hang of it!

Very encouraging! But if I may comment on that I would not add other devices just yet to the mix... Why not just stick to restorex for now? Get a good hang of it... Get used to the clicks... And then see if you get improvement just from that? Otherwise, how would you know that restorex worked?

Thanks Pfract - I'm going to wait a bit - once my penis gets used to traction I will then only add another device.

I have been using the Rx for about nine days now and this thread has been very helpful as I learn how to use it. I hope that I too shall be able to provide some helpful input in due course.

But, does anybody else experience this at all? I have only used the Rx whilst seated and I have found that I cannot get it to point directly ahead, as it were. It leans to the left or to the right at quite an angle but never straight ahead unless I hold the base.  I have a lot of tension and so I think that it is probably not the case that it is not being pushed into my pubic area enough by its own force.

BTW how anybody can lock the glans crusher past the second click is beyond me! When I push to just get to the second lock position I am convinced that I am going to guillotine  "His Majesty". I use a single make-up pad ; I could not lock it with two.

Hey Muttley,

Nice to know you are using it too! I am not sure why your device or penis would point to either side, but as for the clicks on the glans... Give it around 5 seconds between clicks and you should be able to clamp it down. I presume it varies by penile thickness but I think you should be able to go down more notches on the device.

I appreciate the words on my diary!

Muttley

Thanks for the advice Pfract. I am finding that His Majesty is being held  in place securely with 2 clicks. I assume that is all one needs to do or is there a benefit from getting more compression?

One day we shoukd start a gallery of selfies taken before clamping the glans to see the agonised grimacing and gurning as we brace ourselves for the final  click othe glans crusher 😂

Muttley- I am clicking glans to 3 clicks - I can do 4 but it makes the session uncomfortable.... Definitely recommend doing what's comfortable for you as long as there's no slippage. I'm using 2 makeup pads though.

As for the device swaying left or right - I have the same problem. I lay down while using it. I just figured it's the device adjusting as I have a flaccid twist.

Muttley: No.... if you can hold it down without slipping with only 2 clicks that is great and there is no need to clamp further. I need 4 before it is able to hold it down. I also uso two make up pads like you saw.

I imagine you are joking a bit but the idea is actually very nice. I am a fond believer that the more people see photos of it, the better and the more encouraged they will feel to buy one and do traction.

Please if you do try it share it with us! i will definitely post more.

So... Another round of traction. I got a bit better at putting the penis in the restorex. I was able to finally clamp it straight up without bending the device upwards first. I did 3 clicks. Felt a bit of a stretch on the skin but no pain. Next up I am trying to retract the foreskin a bit as well as the skin of the scrotum which I already did this time around.

In total... 5 minutes straight. Going for another five tonight if all goes good so I build my confidence up to the point it is just put it on and stretch without any hassles.

@jj21 just wanted to drop a shout out to you to thank you for all the encouragement on this. Means a lot!

So,  I Went for another go at it. I'm so frustrated this time around. I couldn't clamp the penis in the device. The penis kept retracting back and the clamp was never in the right spot so the glans slipped out. I also tried detaching the clamp but it feels near impossible to do that kind of gymnastics with my hands.

Bending the device upwards and then trying to clamp always resulted in the penis slipping. It felt no matter what I tried, I couldn't do it. I just wished the device could accommodate a smaller flaccid length even if by 1 or 2 cm... Maybe a different housing design... Who knows... I feel like bringing that up to Dr Landon on his board.

Here are some pics... The second one captures The moment right before the penis slips the clamp.

Muttley

I find that the only way to prevent slipping out is to use the self adhsesive plaster that comes with the device. Taking it off is an unpleasant activity though, I muat say.

Yes... I remember when I used the tape a few times. It hurt taking it off. The issue here is stretching the flaccid penis enough to put it on the device. I don't think I lack the minimum length needed, neither flaccid nor erect, but it has been a struggle to put it on easily. I just wanted to stop struggling with it. Wondering what I am doing wrong....

I used to have a lot of problems with slipping out of the RestoreX, but after 600+ hours and trying a few different things I feel as though I've found a pretty good solution. I wrap the head of my penis first in a section of normal bandage that's folded over once. I then wrap it in the gauze type tape that the device came with. Then just the usual clamp down where the ridge of the glans is. I can usually get two to three clicks on the clamp straight away and then sometimes a fourth click after a short amount of time stretching. But it depends on how thick the bandage/gauze is. With this method I can easily go 45 minutes using the device at straight or 90 degree bend with high tension without any slipping.

Also a little tip for comfort during counterbend is to use a kitchen sponge between the penis and the device so that it cushions the penis against the device slightly. I saw another tip on the forum to cut a hole in a piece of sponge to use at the base of the penis for extra comfort, which I just setup last night but haven't tried yet. I've been experiencing some ongoing discomfort in that area.

Hope that makes sense, have attached a photo of the elements I use. Let me know if it would help to have a picture of it in use :)

I appreciate the the time you took to write in great detail the method that you used. If you could take a picture and post it here, it would be very nice. The more info and tips We share on this the better for everybody.

My issue so far is just clamping it... Today I tried something new. I struggled again but then I decided to pull the foreskin gently and then hand stretch it a bit to see if it would loosen it up and it did. I did another 5 minutes of traction with no pain and i felt a bit accomplished.

Here are some pictures showing how far I was able to go on the rods and how the penis looked afterwards.

In the near future, I plan to take a photo of the penis erect with a ruler near it's side and also flaccid so I have a comparison basis for the future. Thank you for reading guys.

Just to clarify Pfract, but you are pulling your foreskin right back before you clamp right? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I can't tell from your photos and the way you describe massaging your foreskin, I wanted to make sure.

If you're not, or for anyone else reading this, it is essential to pull your foreskin right back before clamping if you are uncircumcised, otherwise it will be far more painful and will stretch the skin more than the inner tissue.

Pfract - I may be wrong but I think you indicated in a previous post that you aren't yet pulling the foreskin back - correct? This could be the foreskin slipping ?

I'm not sure if this will help but I always pull foreskin back as far back as possible then clamp the head and little bite more... I also decided to use a normal makeup pad with sticky tape to stick it on the clamp (haven't tried with the strap)...

See if that helps at all... If you aren't lacking the minimum flaccid length then it could simply be that the foreskin is slipping (try pulling it back) and/or you may need to clamp a little bit more.

Try this and go slow, even if you don't bury the white lines just try as a trial run if you can.

Let me know if any of this works.

Here are some pics of me using my setup, you can see how I wrap my penis first in the bandage and then the tape (note this is with the foreskin pulled right back). And then I've attached a picture with the sponge/cushin at 60 degrees and just tried taking it off for the 90 degrees, but usually I leave it there as well. This was my first time using the sponge at the base of the penis too and I must say it certainly did help with comfort against my pubic bone, but I've been using the device for over a year so it was starting to get a bit tender around there.

Also attached an older picture of straight traction with the same wrap at the head.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions :)

Morph - that looks much more comfortable.. And thanks for posting the pic as my penis looks the same in the device - it's reassuring as I was worried I may be using the device incorrectly n risking further injury.

Have you seen much results ? I just started counter bending recently

Morphball:

Thank you so much for coming through and actually posting pictures. I really appreciate it. I have been meaning to do a proper post replying to you with my thoughts on this but work as been absolute bonkers when it comes to time. This saturday for sure. In the mean time... a teaser picture. I am stoked about my recent progress! :D

More on this photo later.... all i can say is finally and a HUGE thank you and shout out to jj21!

So... I did traction again. I had an awesome conversation with jj21 where he game me proper tips and thought me how to use the device last week and the differences were staggering. It is WAY easier to put on the device. Turns on i wasn't retracting the foreskin properly or at all that that is why it was slipping.
I am now able to position it right and i only need 2 clicks and it doesn't slip. It is also super comfortable without pain during stretching and i was able to max out the base rods (see picture).

I already did traction 3 times this week and i am taking it very slow. Did 5 minutes the first time i could do it properly, 8 minutes the second time and now 10 the third time around. I am going to be doing only straight traction for as my curvature is minimal; like 10 degrees give or take to the left and it is really the loss of 1/1.5 inches that has been bothering me this whole time and i am very hopeful i could regain that size back and be 17cm again on my erect length.

I attached a picture showing current progress so far.

1a: here you can see that there is a lot more of the foreskin squished out to the sides. I did have some pain on the underside of the penis and i could feel the skin stretching out. I wrestled a lot to put the clamp on the penis and it would slip out 90% of the time.

2a,3a: here i am showing the progress on the base rods and on the white lines which are buried showing that it is providing traction.

The second picture shows the glans right after stopping traction and opening the clamp up. No pain or coldness.

Happy I could help man.

It's been almost a month using restorex for me - can definitely notice a difference.

Keep it up, interested to see how you go.. I'm confident you'll regain some length back within the next 3+ months.

Stay positive man!
