Hello,
I'm new to the forum.  After not really having many erections or paying attention to them for two years now, I have been having them for a few days.  I don't remember a curve being there before.  Could this be Peyronies, or congenital defect?
Thanks.

Hi allhereto,

We can't diagnosis peyronies in here. Please go see a urologist and explain to them.  Preferably find a urologist that is a peyronies specialist (or mentions it in their website).  I believe there is Dr. Clavel (sp?) in Houston.  Feel free to search that name on google and in here for some reviews.

Hey allhereto

Visually your penis looks fine. Is there something you feel under the skin? The curve may upset you but it does not interfere with sexual activity in any way. and no doctor will want to address that. Traction will help if it works for you.

Are you experiencing ED? are you taking any medication for it? Please let us know.

Hey Pfract,

I can barely feel a soft nodule/bump about half way from the base on the left side.  It's very soft, so I don't think that it's a plaque.  I have experienced erectile dysfunction for years now due to antidepressants.  I recently tried Viagra - 60mg, and that is when I discovered the curve.  I'm not taking any medication for it yet, but I am seeing a urologist tomorrow.  I'm thinking I'll ask him for pento, Cialis, and maybe testosterone (my levels are normal, but borderline low - around 350ng I think).  I would also like to start traction, I'm just trying to determine which device to use - Restorex or PM Pro.  I'm also considering adding the supplements Acetlyl L Carnitine, Ubiquinol (coq10), and arginine or citrulline.
Do you think all of these treatments would be overkill, and that I would get the best bang for my buck with just traction?  I'm also interested in increasing length if possible.

Thanks.

Not a doctor but the photo you sent doesn't show any of the deformities typically associated with Peyronie's.  Some curve is normal and yours is well within the boundaries.  You say you think you can feel something but there are lots of veins and other things in the penis that you might be feeling.  The typical deformities are hinging, where the penis actually bends because one half of it is much softer than the other, or hourglassing, where a horizontal section of the penis simply doesn't expand during erection, causing the characteristic shape of an hourglass.  There are also deformities like the one which is most graphically described as a piece of tape on a balloon.  Blow up the balloon and that one area where the tape is won't expand.
In addition to these there are many more reported symptoms of Peyronie's, from pain to ED.  Yours doesn't seem to fit any of these symptoms.  For that reason I do think your proposed medication regimen is overkill.  If you had ED for years anyway, I would say just stick with the Viagra or Cialis to counteract the ED.  I don't even know why you think you have Peyronie's !!
But obviously, it's something you should ask a qualified urologist who has experience with Peyronie's.
 Good luck!
Age 64, Peyronie's history 4 years, left side hourglass, 20-degree bend to left, no ED

Thank you very much, PeyroniKirai.  My urologist recommended leaving it alone as well.  He did recommend the Restorex for a little additional length if I really wanted to do something for it, daily Cialis for Erectile Dysfunction, and HCG injections to increase my testosterone levels.  Think I'll just stick to that regimen and not worry about the curve.
