Hi all, thanks to this forum, contributors and moderators. My question in general is: What do painful erections mean?

It has been 9 months since my injury (hearing a 'pop' during intercourse) and seemed to have healed well over that time period. I have only had one painful erection over this period, and it was shortly after my injury. However, a couple of days ago I had a painful erection in the evening, likely as a result of overuse that week, and some resulting flaccid pain at the site throughout the day. Today marks another day with a painful erection. I am now wondering what this could mean and what I can do about it. I've now become scared again for the first time in months, having initially thought I had made it through into the stable phase without too much change.

Could anyone shed some light on the following questions?
1.) Have I re-started the acute phase?
2.) Do painful erections mean I will develop a new plaque, and/or resulting deformity, at site of erection/ flaccid pain?
3.) Are painful erections always a bad thing? If so, what can I do about it to have them go away as quickly as possible?
4.) Do I still want to promote NTE/erections in general? I feel that this was a big help in the first 9 months.
5.) How long might pain with erections last? I am planning on abstaining for the foreseeable future.

Please go to a urologist immediately! Immediately!

The only person who can answer those questions with authority is your urologist.  In general, painful erections is a sign of the acute phase: could be a new injury that is in the acute phase! Erections are a good things because it stretches out the tissue--but once again you need to hear all of this from your urologist. These are questions meant for them!
